Gotochi (ご当地フォルムカード) are "Regional Form Cards." that has been released annually for each Japanese Prefecture since 2009. Currently, each prefecture has 7 Gotochi cards in total.

The image on each card represents a person, place, thing, food, etc. famous in or local to that prefecture. This is an interesting and fun way to learn about other parts of Japan which one might never have a chance to visit in person.

A collector enjoy it when people send me a Gotochi card from their prefecture and tell me some personal story about their experience with what is represented on the card.

We, the undersigned, call on Japan Post to retract the decision to discontinue the printing of certain gotochi design of some prefecture.

Making this decision will means that collector will lose the chance of getting them. It will make the collector lose the passion in collection which is sad and disappointing.

People actually travel to Japan and send gotochi out to friends as gift to remember that special trip.

Collectors around the world already have a hard time collecting and swapping them as these postage are quite expensive for the locals. Some rely on friends traveling to Japan for help or paying high prices in auction.
