Cadence 5 is a percussion cadence well known in the North Olmsted Eagle Marching band. Cadence 5 was once adopted as a cadence used by Ohio University cadence, Bobcat.

Cadence 5 has been played for some years now and enjoyed and well recognized by the entire North Olmsted Eagle Marching Band as they percussion plays the cadence for the band to march on the field for a football pre-game performance and in a tradition of the NOHS formation of the band at the football games, half time performance. The cadence is also played a lot in parade marches.

As a new percussion instructor has come to assist the percussion section in the band, she has changed Cadence 5 because it is as she says that we have been playing the Cadence, Bobcat incorrectly and since we have adopted it, it should be played the college way. As the percussion line as played the new way that the instructor has shown, many band members do not like the way Cadence 5 has been changed and many would like it to be changed back as the way it has been traditionally played for the North Olmsted Eagle Marching Band.

Everyone who signs this petition is agreeing that they want the new Cadence 5 (Bobcat) changed back to the traditional Cadence 5.
