THE NYPD HAS QUICKLY BECOME AN ORGANIZATION THAT APPEARS TO PROTECT ITS AGENTS MORE VIGOROUSLY THAT THE CITIZENS AND RIGHTS THEY WERE HIRED TO PROTECT.

ON SUNDAY NOVEMBER 15, 2009, KEITH "SAY" WHITE WAS SHOT IN THE NECK BY GUN WIELDING UNDERCOVER OFFICERS IN A BROOKLYN NIGHTCLUB. AND LIKE THE CASE OF SEAN BELL AND OTHER SENSELESS SHOOTINGS INVOLVING POLICE OFFICERS, BOTH UNIFORMED AND PLAIN CLOTHED, ANSWERS ARE NEEDED AND THE LAWS NEED TO BE AMENDED.

The undersigned, being residents and citizens in the City of New York, New York, do hereby petition
your Honor for the law and/or ordinance to be amended to include the following:

No “Under-cover” or “Out-of-uniform” officer, who is charged with the responsibility of upholding basic civil liberties protected by both the 8th and 14th amendments, should be allowed to discharge their firearms in a private establishment whether acting “under color of law” or not, under any circumstances.

There should be a “Zero Tolerance” policy implemented for those in violation and they should be charged with a felony and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
