Belletetes Corporation of Jaffrey has been approved to fill 60.000 square feet of land including wetlands. They wish to build a 13,400 square foot "Lumber Supply Storage Building" and a 7000 square food "Truck Maintenance and Repair Facility" on Peterborough Rd. and Nutting Rd. in Jaffrey, NH.
We are appealing the ZBA's decision to grant these variances with no specified conditions. Because of lax policies, for the past 20 years Belletetetes has directed all of their storm flow onto neighboring properties, causing great damage during every heavy rain event. This mix of storm water, pavement debri and snow brine ends up in the Contoocook River.
Their expansion will bring more noise, pollution and property damage to neighboring families. We feel insignificant and powerless against this $65,000,000 company. Thank you for signing and your support! Bob and Joan Aho
We the undersigned request that the Town of Jaffrey Zoning Board of Adjustment and Planning Board uphold the zoning regulations adopted by the Town of Jaffrey by not giving the Belletetes Corporation special treatment which would allow them to expand and continue to damage protected wetlands, the Contoocook River and family properties.
