Water is life and forms two-thirds of the human body. The serious issue is that almost all water sources in the country is been destroyed by the activities of illegal miners. Pits by their operations have been left uncovered and has led to the lost of many life. The death traps of many pupils who died out of this is because how close the mining sites were to their respective schools and homes. It is estimated that by June 2017, Ghana will be importing water. Water has been a issue as many finds it a burden to go about their activities
We the undersigned, call on the government to ban illegal mining and order all miners to fill pits left uncovered and plant trees whiles caring for water bodies.
