The New York Post columnist, Andrea Peyser's vile & insensitive rant on the subject of the death of actor Heath Ledger was not only hostile, slanderous & spiteful, but also completely disrespectful of the family & loved ones mourning the loss of this man who she herself knew nothing of.
Her article was full of nothing but her own self-serving, narrow minded & unwarranted opinions & had no grounds to support her outrageous accusations. In fact her claims are in direct conflict with any & all records & documents released by the Medical Examiner's Office stating the cause of death.
This article though clearly nothing more than an attempt to get some recognition should not however come at the price of causing the grieving family & other loved ones of Mr. Ledger anymore undue pain & suffering.
This article is nothing if not slanderous, libelous & a defamation of character & it must be retracted immediately & should be accompanied by a personal letter of apology printed to the Ledger family & all who have been offended by this fabricated pack of lies.
We the undersigned, call upon The New York Post to immediately print a retraction concerning Andrea Peyser's article on the subject of the death of Heath Ledger.
Her article was not only in extremely poor taste but was also malicious, slanderous & completely disrespectful of Heath & his mourning loved ones.
We the undersigned also hereby DEMAND a printed letter of apology be addressed to the Ledger family & to all who were hurt by this verbal attack by Ms. Peyser.
