An enterprising hub for Lewisham

It's agreed that Lewisham, Deptford in particular has an abundance of betting shops (14 last count), pawn brokers and chicken & chip shops.

An alternative way to counteract the current culture of short term instant gratification rampant in the Lewisham borough is to build an enterprising hub where people can start up and stay up in their careers including self employment and have long term sustainable futures.

We propose the now closed down Ladywell leisure centre that Lewisham are considering to becoming a cinema, we welcome a cinema but believe it will further benefit the community to have an enterprising hub.

This hub is open to all to support innovative start ups that start up and stay up (90% of new businesses fail) and people to enhance their skills to grab the careers they want. In addition we will also focus on the right brain creative types, specifically those with learning disabilities as we believe this sector are often written off within society and can be a great asset (over 40% of self made millionaires have a learning disability).

We want to focus on being a signpost for those who want to test their ideas out on the market with minimum risk.

Inclusive never exclusive - we don't plan to cater to the exclusive group we want to help vulnerable people too - we can help the 8m in the UK who need to learn how to read and write with proven technology so they can then access mainstream start up and stay up services. Our aim is put a dent in the £81billion cost to the economy that according the International Literacy Foundation is the cost per year due to those that can't read and write.

This is an opportunity Lewisham must not miss.
We believe that because of Deptford's location, size and issues that is by far the most realistic option for a successful hub for Deptford and that Lewisham Council should engage with us at the Celebrated Not Tolerated company to make this vision a reality.
