Background: The DPWSC is required by law to post its meeting agendas at the courthouse in Georgetown 3 days in advance of a meeting. As a courtesy, they have been posting it on the bulletin board outside of the office as well.

My concern is that the agenda was NOT posted outside of the water board office on this Friday and only was posted after a complaint was taken. There are some important and possibly controversial items on this agenda (we will find out at tonight's meeting)

The office manager (or district manager) who is responsible for this said she forgot when asked about it. The problem is that when there is a VERY IMPORTANT issue regarding the supply of our water on the agenda, there is no easy way for the owners to be notified.

I will show the petition to the water board members at their regular meeting.

I would like to amend the bylaws of the DPWSC by member vote so as to alleviate this problem.

You can sign with your name in full view or this petition can be signed anonymously if you want the privacy, but I as the administrator can view all the names and emails. IF appropriate (as in a court case) I will turn over the names to the correct authority. The bylaws of the DPWSC can be amended by a vote of enough customers. Will you join me? Water supply is important to ALL of us.

As a customer of Durham Park Water Supply Corp, I would like to see a DPWSC bylaw amendment which requires that the water board take the following action before their meetings and that these requirements be met before the actions taken at the board meeting can be valid.

1. The agenda MUST be posted at least 3 days in advance outside of the DPWSC office and accessible to owners for viewing. The agenda must also be emailed to people who chose to suscribe to email updates on the DPWSC website (a service to be required).

2. The agenda and meeting minutes, treasurer's report, plant operations report, and yearly budget MUST be posted to the DPWSC website immediately upon approval. The proposed yearly budget should also be posted prior to the meeting in which the board seeks its approval and an email sent to suscribers of email update list to be maintained by DPWSC.

3. Signs notifying owners of the DPWSC meeting MUST be placed at all entrances to the subdivisions to remind owners at least 3 days in advance of the meeting.
