Dear GUC Administration,

This is a petition for the GUC to host ALMUN's fifteenth Junior Program that's expected to take place from the 4th to the 8th of December and to host 200-250 participants (students) from international schools.

ALMUN is a live simulation of the workings and deliberations of the United Nations and the Arab League. The Faculty of Economics and Political Science (Cairo University) hosts it. ALMUN was founded in 1996. It’s the oldest simulation model in Cairo University and for two decades it has been known for its professionalism on the Academic and the organizational level as well. ALMUN raises students' awareness of current global and Middle Eastern issues. Each year, we recruit hundreds of Egyptian, as well as foreign, students to take part in our activities, sessions and the annual conference. A sizable portion of those recruited peruse a diplomatic career.

Junior ALMUN will be organized for the 16th time, it was decided to organize a simulation model for high-school students by holding a “mini-ALMUN” conference; that aims to raise awareness of youth regarding global issues.

The upcoming Mini-conference

This year we are looking forward to organizing a couple of juniors' programs in the form of a mini-conference for high-school students; as there will be a two-days conference preceded by three days of sessions besides a number of workshops and activities , the first mini-conference is expected to take place at the beginning of December based on the UN sustainable Development goasls theme of the camp .
That mini-conference will adopt the Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality education, The conference will include 5 councils; two UN councils concerned with the global issues and two AL councils concerned with the regional issues, in addition to the fifth council, where the main goal of the conference will be covered by academic sessions and workshops in a broader and intensive way.
