For Chesterfield County and Richmond area. I have never smoked and I have asthma from the environment. Senior housing should not allow smoking near and around the doorways or near the entrances.
Smoking should not be allowed in the apartments of the buildings. If an area is needed, they can provide a place within 20 feet of dwelling. Senior buildings have oxygen in use and also the second hand smoke is making other seniors lungs weaker.
I'm asking for support. I live in a senior retirement complex that allows the heavy smokers smoke in the entrances and all of the rest of us have to walk thru it to get to our cars and other outside activities.
Most of us have Asthma, COPD and use oxygen.
