نحن الموقعون/ات أدناه
نؤمن بمبادئ وقيم حقوق الإنسان، وبأن المساواة والعدالة الكرامة حق وبأن حقوق النساء جزءُ اساسيُ لا يتجزأ من حقوق الإنسان،
ونعلن عن تضامننا مع حقوق السجينات في السجون اللبنانية لكون السجون هي حلقة من حلقات العدالة التي لا يمكن أن تتحقق إلا عبر التمتع بابسط الحقوق الإنسانية،
ونطالب الدولة بتعزيز الجهود الوقائية ومعالجة الممارسات والمعايير الاجتماعية التمييزية على أساس النوع الاجتماعي (الجندر)، وبذل الجهود الدؤوبة لضمان معاملة السجينات بما يوافق معايير حقوق الأنسان في جميع مراحل الإعتقال والمحاكمة والحكم والسجن والإنخراط في المجتمع، وإيلاء الاهتمام لخصوصية المرأة من حمل ورضاعة ورعاية الأطفال، من خلال وضع إطار داعم من التشريعات والممارسات.
We, the undersigned below, believe in the principles and values of human rights, and that equality, justice, and dignity are rights, and that women rights are essential and integral part of human rights.
We declare our solidarity with the rights of women prisoners in Lebanese prisons, because prisons are part of justice that cannot be achieved without the application of the simplest human rights.
We call on the state to enhance prevention efforts – to change the gender discriminatory practices and social norms – to make unremitting efforts to ensure the treatment of prisoners, in accordance to human rights standards in all stages of detention, trial, sentence, imprisonment and engagement in the community – and to highly consider the special needs of women from pregnancy, breast-feeding and child care, through the development of a supportive framework of legislation and practices.
نطالب بضروة الأخذ بالإعتبار التوصيات التالية عند أي تعديل للسياسات والممارسات:
• مراعاة الإحتياجات الصحية الخاصة بالنساء بما يرتبط بالحق في الصحة لجهة إجراء الفحص الصحي الشامل عند دخول السجن إلى جانب الإهتمام بالصحة الجنسية والإنجابية والوقائية للسجينات.
• مراعاة الإحتياجات الخاصة بالنساء بما يرتبط بالحق في الغذاء لناحية توفير وتحسين نوعية الطعام وكمية الغذاء بما يراعي السجينات الحوامل والمرضعات وذوات الاحتياجات الخاصة.مراعاة الإحتياجات الخاصة بالنساء بما يرتبط بالحق في النظافة الشخصية لجهة تأمين المستلزمات الاساسية للسجينات.
• مراعاة الإحتياجات الخاصة بالنساء بما يرتبط بالحق في التأهيل وإعادة الإندماج لجهة تطوير البرامج والانشطة التربوية والمهنية والترفيهية للسجينات.
• مراعاة الإحتياجات الخاصة بالنساء بما يرتبط بالحق في التواصل لجهة تعزيز تواصل السجينات مع افراد اسرهن سيما أولادهن.
• مراعاة الإحتياجات الخاصة بالنساء بما يرتبط بتفعيل المعونة القضائية لتقليص مشاكل توقيفهن وإحتجازهن.
• مراعاة الإحتياجات الخاصة بالسجينات الأجنبيات والحق في تأمين الحماية القانونية والنفسية لهن.
• مراعاة الإحتياجات الخاصة بالنساء بما يرتبط بتطوير إدارات السجون وتدريب الحارسات والممرضات والاطباء العاملين/ات في سجون النساء على مقاربات حقوق الإنسان والنوع الإجتماعي.
We demand to take into consideration the following recommendations when amending the policies and practices:
• Take into account the special health needs of women associated with the right to health; this includes conducting a comprehensive health examination upon entering the prison, along with giving attention to sexual, reproductive and preventive health of prisoners.
• Take into account the special needs of women associated with the right to food, in terms of providing and improving food quality and quantity, especially of the pregnant, lactating and those of special-needs prisoners.
• Take into account the special needs of women associated with the right to personal hygiene, in regards to securing the basic necessities to the prisoners.
• Take into account the special needs of women associated with the right to rehabilitation and re-integration, in terms of developing educational, professional and recreational programs and activities.
• Take into account the special needs of women associated with the right to communication, in terms of enhancing the communication of the prisoners with their own family members, especially their children.
• Take into account the special needs of women associated with activating the legal aid to reduce the problems of arrest and detention.
• Take into account the special needs of foreign women prisoners and the right to secure legal and psychological protection.
• Take into account the special needs of women associated with the development of the prison administration, and training of the guards, nurses and doctors working inside women's prisons on the approaches of human rights and gender perspective.
