In the face of the cuts the community of many young parents are particularly in a vulnerable position. Services for young parents like Sure start plus are a vital support to young parents in the community.
From child care courses to consultancy, sure start plus is catered for young parents who need support in this age which may not be available elsewhere.
The government have already taken action by closing down Connexions in Lewisham, a popular a centre for the young people to obtain important information and advice (March 2011).
PLEASE SAVE YOUNG PARENTS SERVICES!
As a community we, the undersigned, understand and accept that cuts have to be made.
We are asking for an open transparency between the local authority when making decisions concerning public services for young people, children centres and particularly young parents.
