Enough complaining, street protestations, chips-devouring and ludicrous festivities in Belgium: time for the next step!

The ‘shame-manifestation’ in Brussels, the ludicrous celebration of the world championship government forming and the chips revolution have called for more effective action than “blather” from the politicians. It is now more than time to give them a hand by giving them a clearer insight into us, the officially recognized Belgian voters.

Under the motto ‘Assess to Know’ it would be good to consider, by means of an extensive values assessment, what the exact similarities and differences between the 4 cultural entities are in this small Belgium. What are their aspirations for their cultural community or region? How do they wish to participate in the democratic process ?

By making this assessment possible you can contribute to giving a worthwhile present to the political negotiators allowing them to see how citizens of Belgium really are and what they really want. This knowledge might help the negotiators to surpass their ego and individual perceptions. To this end we need the active support of the media in all its forms: T.V., radio, press, etc… Without the co-operation of the latter, throughout the country it would be very difficult not to say impossible to reach all the layers of the population or to bear the cost of such an inquiry.

Let us take our responsibility and together make a united positive contribution to those whom, more than 249 days ago, the Belgian citizens gave their trust to take care of their future.

We wish to ensure you that this initiative has nothing whatsoever to do with any political or philosophical conviction.

If you feel you can help to give direction to the future of the fellow Belgian citizens we ask you to sign this petition. Meanwhile, thank you for your support.

Joan de Winne

We the undersigned ask the Belgian media to surpass their ego, their opposite perceptions and their commercial interests by TOGETHER making an extensive assessment of the population’s will. We wish to see this done based on the tools of the “Barret Values Centre” applied and validated by such a large sample of the Belgian voters as feasible.

The results of this assessment will be analysed by Mrs. Else Nollet who, since 2002 has been and hence, still is a certified consultant and trainer of the ‘Cultural Transformation Tools’. This analysis, without any form of interpretation will then be handed over to the Belgian Media and the results further spread to their viewers, readers or listeners with or without comments or opinion columns.

Furthermore we wish the media to organize an extensive public debate, concerning these results, with the responsible politicians.
