My sister lives in a small neighborhood in Vilonia, AR. She across the street to check her mail and was struck by a SUV going 45-50 MPH on a 35 MPH road. She was severely injured and was medflighted to a hospital in Little Rock, AR. The person that hit her was speeding and was not paying attention to his surroundings.
I have visited her on several different occasions and have seen people fly down this street with no care or worry. THIS HAS TO STOP IMMEDIATELY. We are blessed that she is still with us but please let's stop this behavior before it happens to someone else.
I would like to see speed bumps placed on different sections of this road. The signs that are there have proved to be NO help.
We, the undersigned, call on the Conway/Vilonia community to place speed bumps on Liberty Rd in Vilonia, AR to stop speeders and make drivers more cautious and aware of their surroundings.
