Why Does the Irish Cultural Centre Need To Be Saved?

The Irish Cultural Centre is a unique and valuable resource, offering a diverse cultural programme encompassing music, art, dance and lectures.
In January 2009, Hammersmith Council agreed to extend the lease on our building from April 2012 to April 2017. They have since announced they will no longer honour this agreement and have decided to sell the Centre's freehold. The council have proposed a purchase price of between £2m and £2.2m.
Please sign our petition urging the council to reconsider their decision, or at least extend our lease until 2017 giving us a more realistic timeframe to raise the required funds.

Help to preserve their excellent Cultural Programme, the broad spectrum of support and services it provides, and to maintain a centre for both the Irish in London, and the large number of users from all other backgrounds.
