Free Sherry Gregory

We, the undersigned, request that Sherry be released from custody and that all charges against her be dropped. Ms. Glaze has been in custody since March 19, 2010 awaiting an appeal for her case against her in Lancaster, KY. Sherry’s was convinced by her public defender that there was nothing that they could do for her and that at the end of the day I go home the public defender said.

Also the public defender on many accounts said "I have never handled a case like this and I am not in the click there is nothing that I can do, you are going to get 40 years" Sherry was lead to believe that there was nothing that could be done and on Feb 16, 2010she received a call from her public defender and was pressured to take a plea deal for 10 years in prison on an assault 1st degree charge and all other charges to be dropped. She was under doctor’s care for a surgery after a cat bit and also a sinus infection that she was being treated for. Her lawyer was Ineffective assistance of counsel, because she was deficient in her performance for sherry, she lacked proper experience to handle Sherrie’s case.

Sherry was also proven to be a victim of domestic violence and her attorney did not use findings from the states physiologist or the forensics psychologist that she sent sherry to to assist in her case. She was in no way shape or form able to accept a plea deal. Sherry has the sixth amendment right to claim ineffectiveness of counsel even after taking a plea deal. Sherry was lead to believe that there was interviews from the children that had been done in Jan 2010 after a meeting with Leslie ayers and her boss , but those interviews had not been completed and she had asked to hear the interviews of the children that had been completed and they wasn’t available to been heard. Also Sherry has not seen her children since dec 2007 or even talked to them while James had lived next door to them for three years and now is free on 2 years probation. We are requesting the court to withdrawal Sherrie’s plea deal and release her from prison.

Also we request the court to allow sherry to see her 3 children that was not considered a victim of the charges against her. James sentence is a severe disparity in sentencing. We ask that sherry is released from prison and allowed to be with her mother who is dying of cancer. Sherry has suffered enough for almost a year now. Thanks for your time. The undersigned.
