Diego Milito is hero for success of Inter 2009/2010 but not included in Ballon d'Or nominees.
Inter Milan boss Rafa Benitez has been left baffled by striker Diego Milito's absence from the list of nominees for the Fifa Ballon d'Or award.
The 23-man shortlist for the newly-merged world player of the year honour was announced earlier this week, with the Nerazzurri forward conspicuous by his absence.
Milito played an integral role in Inter's treble triumph last term with both goals in the UEFA Champions League final victory over Bayern Munich and key strikes to help them claim the Serie A crown and Coppa Italia.
And Benitez, who took charge in the summer following the departure of Jose Mourinho to Real Madrid, revealed there is a sense of confusion around Giuseppe Meazza at the hitman being overlooked.
