The children's play area in Walford Avenue, Worle, Weston super Mare has been neglected and is now a dangerous site for children to play in. The equipment is unfit for purpose, the fencing is damaged and the area has not been maintained making it unsafe for children to play in.
I brought this to the attention of the developers back in October 2009, who acknowledged it needs replacing but have still not had the decency to repair or make safe the site.
The council has agreed to adopt and develop the site once the developers have made safe the area.
We, the undersigned, call on the developers of the St Georges and North Worle housing estates to make safe the children's play area on Walford Avenue and allow our children to play in a safe and child friendly play area.
