Stop Islamophbia, Call on the Resignation of the Prime Minister Max Naylor of the Canadian Youth Assembly

On August 6,2010, Max Naylor the Prime Minister of the Canadian Youth Assembly, posted a video with the purpose to spread fear and propaganda about Islam. The video was entitled “No Mosque at Ground Zero”.

Some of the comments on this video were “Islam despises what America is, and it rejects what America stands for, including freedom and diversity, and any Muslims that denies that, is a liar.” This man on the video also state that Islam has no right to call itself a religion and compares it to Nazism. I wrote on Max Naylor wall to see if he posted this to video as a joke. I was deeply disturbed to find that his views were even more extreme than the man on the video. Max Naylor, stated that “Islam is based on the violent conquests and forced conversions carried about by Muha...mmed.” This was not his most saddening comment. He even went on to call “Islam a religion of hate”.

As a Young Liberals and fellow youth, I am appalled and disguised by these comments and views. We can not have a Youth Liberal Prime Minister who has these extreme views. It is not only an embarrassment to the members of his cabinet but to the whole Liberal Party.
