At the present time Mulberry High School does not allow same sex couples to attend prom together, while other schools in the Polk County District do. I see this as unfair. Last year I had to attend a prom at another school to be able to go with my girlfriend, I did not even go to my prom.
Schools are going all out with this bullying policy but they turn there back when it comes to gay couples. School is suppose to teach you not to discriminate but they tell you that you have to go to prom with the opposite sex.
We that have signed call upon Mulberry High School to stop the discrimination of same sex couples and allow them to go to school functions together i.e. Homecoming and Prom.
