In March, 2010, Locale Nightclub opened at 1221 Bay Street, Staten Island, NY. The purpose of the nightclub is music, drinking and dancing. The owners have not obtained a Cabaret License which is required for a dance club. Locale also is not their legal business name.
Our quiet neighborhood is overrun 4 nights a week as unruly patrons urinate on our streets and in our driveways. Drugs are now sold on our sidewalks and street corners and weapons have been brought to this club. The patrons hang around on our streets long after closing time. The owners and managers have been approached numerous times regarding these issues and have not taken action to correct the situation.
This establishment offers nothing of value to our community and the owners have made it clear they have no respect for local residents and businesses.
We the undersigned, ask the 120 precinct, NY State Liquor Authority and Community Board 1 for assistance by enforcing Nuisance Abatement and closing this establishment that has become a threat to Public Safety and is a drain to precinct resources.
