Loon River First Nation has failed many times to lend the community band members a voice. By signing this petition, you will be in agreement that all band members of voting age, (18 and older), have the right to vote on how our oil distribution money is being distributed to our children.
This petition is designed to promote a community meeting for voting on the trust fund before distribution. If you agree that our children should have the right to use their money for sports, hobbies or as they wish, then please sign below to support this cause. If you do not agree to the full amount being locked into a trust account and that half may be distributed annually to families, then please sign this petition.
We, the undersigned, call on LRFN Band Council to allow our children the right to claim their oil distribution money now, in place of putting monies into a trust fund for the future.
