Hello, my name is Carla Sweet. I live in Taylors SC and have been a resident of South Carolina for over 29 years. I am also a single mother of two great kids; Christopher age 17 and Rachel age 12. Being a single mother is far from easy, and unfortunately I made a few bad choices in my life that I have learned from.
In 2007, I dated a guy (which was a BIG mistake) for a short period of time. He was always in and out of house and come to find out he sold drugs to make money. I had just gotten out of a very painful marriage of 11 years because of drugs. This woman named, xxxx would come to my house and buy drugs from this guy while he stayed at my house. This is the ONLY way that she even knew where I lived or my telephone numbers. We never hung out as friends and I never associated with this woman. After I had kicked this man out of my house, she decided to target me in some sting operation. She KNEW I wasn't a drug dealer that I unfortunately came to know some. So instead of turning in someone who REALLY sold drugs, she TARGETED me. When all was said and done, I never sold her any drugs nor did I profit financially from the sell of any drugs. I have never even been arrested before.
PLEASE STOP DRUG ADDICTED CRIMINALS FROM BEING ABLE TO STAY OUT OF JAIL/TROUBLE JUST BECAUSE THEY WORK FOR THE LAW AND TURN SOMEONE/ANYONE IN -GUILTY OR NOT GUILTY? WHO'S TO SAY? THE DRUG ADDICT? LET'S KEEP IN MIND THAT THESE VERY "TRUSTWORTHY" DRUG ADDICTS ARE STILL ABLE TO DO THE DRUGS THEMSELVES WHILE THEY ARE WORKING FOR THE "LAW" SO IT MAKES YOU ASK THE QUESTION-WHO'S REALLY GUILTY AND WHAT'S BEING ACCOMPLISHED HERE? TURN A DRUG ADDICT IN JUST TO LET ANOTHER ONE GO? DRUG ADDICTS SAY AND DO WHATEVER IT TAKES JUST TO GET WHAT THEY NEED-"DRUGS" NO MATTER WHO THEY HURT OR DESTROY.
I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT DRUG ADDICTED CRIMINALS SHOULD BE ABLE TO DECIDE ON ONES FATE-ITS NOT THE LAW I GREW UP TRUSTING AND BELIEVING IN.
Her testimony could cost me 15 years in prison, and I AM NOT GUILTY. The police believe her and they don't even know the whole truth.
Please stop drug addicts from being Credible Confidential Informants.
Please stop drug addicts who commit crimes being able to get away with them by turning in people that they ONLY want to turn in. How can anyone trust that they are trying to put the REAL dealers in prison? Are they really going to give up the ones they still want to deal with?? NO
Why are drug addicts being able to legally ACTUALLY DO the drugs before turning the rest of them into the police. This is unfair, and is excusing someone from breaking the law themselves.
