Traffic Light and Speed Limit Lowered to 45 On The West Side Of 29 On Molino Road

We the people of North Escambia County, Florida, are in dire need of a traffic light, not a flashing light, installed at the intersection of US 29 and Molino Road, also known as SR 182.
We would also appreciate having the speed limit lowered on the West side of State Road 182, also known as Molino Road to at least 45 miles per hour to as far as at least Chestnut Road.
We've had a flashing light at US 29 and SR 182 (Molino Road) for years, which has not helped at all. People will pass you like you are sitting still in the 55 mph zone that is in Molino. We use to have State Troopers up here, they wrote many, many tickets in this area.
I have taken the time to contact Mark Nallick, who is with the State of Florida Road Operations @ 1-888-638-0205 to discuss this problem. He said it would be Monday before anyone could call me back concerning this problem.
We the people of North Escambia County Florida are signing this petition because we desperately need a real traffic light installed at the intersection of US 29 and Molino Road also known as SR182.
We've had a flashing light here for many years, which has not helped. The speed limit is lower on the East side of State Road 182 it is 45 mph. We also need the speed limit lowered to 45 mph on the West Side of State Road 182, also known as Molino Road to as far as at least Chestnut Road. The speed limit drops to 55 miles per hour when you are first entering Molino from the south on US 29, and it changes back to 65 mph just past Atmore Road.
A traffic light is badly needed there also. If you are traveling 55 mph though this stretch of 29N or 29S you will be run over by people ignoring the speed limit dropping in this area, most of them are traveling at 80 to 90 miles per hour through this area. There have been two accidents at the intersection of US29 and SR182 (Molino Road) in the last 2 weeks. The East side of 29 on Molino Road is 45 mile per hour speed limit.
We have had numberous wrecks at Chestut Road approximately 1 mile from US 29 on the West side. It is at the top of a hill, which anyone exiting Chestnut going across, or either way on SR 182 (Molino Road)can't see anything coming unless they are right on top of you. There are several families with children and grandchildren who live close to both of these intersectons. God forbid, if a child should wander close to Molino Road, they would surely be killed. Since Molino Road has recently been resurfaced on the West side, it has become a racetrack.
I was almost hit by a truck passing me with my blinker on to turn left into my driveway. Had I not seen the truck in my side view mirror, I would have been T-boned, and probably killed. Something needs to be done now, before anyone else is killed or maimed for life. A light would be very much welcomed by anyone in North East Escambia County.
We seem to be the part of Escambia County that is put on the back burner, we pay taxes, we should get that traffic light installed as soon as possible... PERIOD.
