Stop the City of Ellettsville , IN from blocking access to Turtleback Street to Greenbriar neighborhood from Park Street.
We, the undersigned. call on the city of Ellettsville, IN to stop shutting down Park street and Ritter street during the Monroe County Fall Festival and or any other activities related to the Campbell's Park area.
Shutting down these streets affect many people in the Greenbriar and Greenbriar Knolls neighborhoods. Another alternative is to allow work traffic in the morning and afternoon of the festivals dates to either travel down Park Street or use Park Street to Ritter Street for access to SR 46(Temperance Street) and also allow Emergency Vehicles to use Ritter Street to Park Street access to Turtleback Street to eliminate an extra 10 minute detour to the Greenbriar neighborhoods.
During the Festival and other activities that shut down access to Turtleback street residents have only one route to their respective homes causing and extra 10 minute detour. As the may mean a short nuisance to some it could mean an extra few minutes first responders and emergency personal have to drive to get access to many homes in this area.
We just ask that the City of Ellettsville review the closing of these streets.
