Legacy Fountain Plaza has a history of theft, vehicle break-ins. Recently there has been an increase of these vehicle break-ins, multiple vehicles hit in a single night with a rather consecutive nightly pattern.
It is understood that when items are left in plain view whether they are of value or not, there is an increased chance of theft. However, when as many as 4 cars are broken into in 1 night on the same floor with 1 of those being a truck with tinted windows totaling a loss of over $4,000.00 of tools and electronics which were kept in compartments as well as on the floor in the back seat, covered, it really raises questions as to where was this patrol this night of these break-ins. That was just 1 of the 4 nights of break-in's in the last 7 days! That is not what any person would call “security under control”.
When living in a gated community one would assume that there belongings would remain safe within the gates of there community. It would seem as a plus to have the patrol come though to check on things in this seemly safe community. However, it is apparent that they do not come often enough, if at all?
We, the undersigned, residents of Legacy Fountain Plaza, request the management of, Legacy Fountain Plaza Apartments, to increase security of the parking garages on a nightly bases.
We suggest having 2 security guards stationed at each garage (1 per garage) so that it would help eliminate the possibility of these break-ins. Another suggestion to either add onto patrol or try solely is to increase the lighting on the 5th floor level and add multiple motion sensor cameras with the ability to cover every parking spot and signs stating this community is under constant surveillance.
We feel that the security of our personal belongings is in constant jeopardy and are uncomfortable with our parking situation. Being such, we demand something to be done about these parking garages as the management and office staff are fully aware of these break-ins and have yet to purpose anything to the residents who reside here.
