There are more non-violent criminals in the prisons today and with lack of change there will be more. True rehabilitation is the answer.
Criminal history checks have not prevented workplace violence as it is those individuals who have a clean criminal history who have committed the crime of workplace violence.
We the undersigned call on Congress to reform the law which prohibits convicted felons from receiving housing assistance and food stamps.
In addition to freeze criminal histories of those individuals who have served their sentences and have remained crime-free for a period of one year so as to allow these individuals to become taxpaying productive citizens.
