In the wake of a Carr-Saunders student arrest and subsequent conviction for armed robbery, the LSE has decided on the basis of untested allegations, to suspend John Kent since June which has prevented him carrying out his warden's role this academic year.
We are concerned at the unfair and inconsiderate way the LSE has been treating John Kent and his family since June. We would like to emphasise that our experiences at Carr-Saunders Hall, facilitated by an academic warden, were both positive and beneficial.
We regret that excessive managerialism and inappropriate procedures are preventing the new intake at LSE from experiencing similar benefits at Carr-Saunders.
And we are anxious that this year vulnerable students at Carr-Saunders will not be provided with a live in warden.
