1. According to GaiaOnline, accepting their ToS (Terms of Service) it means you give right to ban you anytime for any/no reason at sole discretion, and you can't do anything, even if you spend hundreds of legal US dollars. You might think: they want to grow so they will not ban for nothing! Think again!

There are stories of people being banned simply because they accessed a friend account, or had too much gold for the admins.

2. Their ban process is horrible. In their Rules & Guidelines, Gaia Online states that they give temporary bans and then give permanent bans. Nothing can be further from the truth and I've yet to see someone being "temporary banned". Your only and last e-mail will be:

You have been permanently banned for:

Botting/Profiting from botting

If you have any further questions, please e-mail us at inquiry@gaiaonline.com

They rarely, if ever, read bans e-mails and never unban accounts. A person got banned for hosting a charity, an obvious proof of selling gold. No warnings, nothing, and she was gone for absolutly no reasons. It took over 500 hundreds posters and over a week to lift her unfair ban. Think you will have the same kind of luck? You better start making friends right now. The truth is that Gaia Online doesn't give a shit about you.

3. Gaia Online keeps announcing new features, but look how many are really introduced. House voting was announced for 2005 and has just came out. Oh, you might want to check what newest feature they introduced: another way to pay for their collectibles, of course!

5. Gaia Online claims that it is PG-13, but we say it's bullshit, and you can look at their severe measures to prevent younger from registering here. Frank from Chaos Programming frequently reported people being eight, ten or eleven, and their forums are there to proove it. But the biggest problem is the pressure they put on children. We all know that at these are ages, kids are the most influential, and the amount of brain-washing they throw is almost unbelievable.

6. Gaia Online takes great proud into saying they are free, but is it really? There are things to buy every single corner, not counting the ads at every single corner of the page. Worse: Gaia Online states that it accepts money by mail. Is this legal? We don't know. What happens if the letter get lost or stolen? We don't know neither. We all know little kids can hardly get credit cards without their parents consent, same for checks and some place refuse money orders to kids. Solution? Money through mail. Here comes the joke: Gaia states that monthly collectibles are 2,50$, but they charge an extra 1,49$ for dealing it by mail. The most expensive mail opener in the universe. Not only will you pay more for stamps, with the risk of the letter being lost, but you also have to pay extra! Unbelievable.

7. Gaia Online though it was necessary to make a ''tips for parents'' section. The reason is simply : there are so many pedophile on Gaia that it's almost unbelievable. It is, in fact, the number one place where pedophiles can reach kids simply because there are so many of them. Pedophiles used to catch little kids with candies, they now use Gaia gold.

Here is an exhausting list of what Gaia Online does to prevent it : ____. Oh, and pedophiles are always hidden behind cutes, smiling avatars pretending to be 12 and ''just looking for friends''

8.Gaia Online loves to harass its player into playing the most possible. They give you gold for every action you do, which means that unlike other games, you can't do ''just a little every day''. You have to keep playing over and over to get gold and get items you want. Gaia Online takes litteraly no precautions against excessive play. They decline the gold income for actions after a certain time, but you simply have to log on a mule and keep playing. Too much playing also makes them believe you are btting, so find the perfect balance!

We, the users, and the parents of the users of Www.Gaiaonline.Com agree that Gaia must follow the given regulations and rules or it should not be allowed to remain online.

By signing this petition you do agree:
-Www.GaiaOnline.Com is an unsafe enviroment for its users and action must be taken against it.

-You are not signing this petition simply because you dislike the site but instead because you demand that something is done about its poor condition.

-You ask for one or more of these things to be done:

A.) A large banner is applied to the home page and log in page of Gaiaonline.com

B.) If during resgistration you enter a birthdate stating you are under the age of 13, a cookie is applied to your computer disaallowing you to sign up and when attempting to sign up you are prompted you are underaged and you must be at the age of 13.

C.) When users sign up they must be strictly prompted each and every rule, since users do not tend to read the rules, we suggest an instructional video is made and it follows corresponding regulations:
a.) The video over each rule of GaiaOnline

b.)The video can not be muted

c.) After the video, a quiz is given to ask each user about rules to see if each one is clearly known.

D.) All new users are isolated from forums and are locked into a "New User Forum". After 1 month, the user may be able to access any other forum of his/her choice.

E.) The gold system is rearranged so instead of gold given at most at your first post and slowly decreasing, your gold amount given to you upon a post is decided based upon the amount of text entered and that gold is deducted for each typo.

F.) When a user gains over 3500 posts, has been a member for over 2.5 years, is recomended by over 50 users to be a mod through a small button under their avatar saying "Mod Rec.", and is given another quiz which asks them about strict rules about modship, they will be applied to a list of eligible mods, from there, admins will choose users to have a 2 week mod trial where they are given a mod name, yet is retsricted to mod powers, and an admin approves, that user can become a mod upon consent.

G.) Any user who posts the same material, wether through PM, or forums, 1,000 times in one hour, be banned for botting. Since no human can post so much in such speed and time.

H.) When a user is accused of botting, they are not permanentely banned, but instead given an urgent PM, in the popup window, the text "You have an urgent PM! Answer Now!" or something similar to such while the user is online, and if it is not answered in 1 hour, you are directed to the PM, if, after another hour it is not answered, that user is banned.

I.) When a user is given an account, they are e-mailed a Pin code, if a user claims they have had an account that is stolen, and they supply thir pin, and their account is logged into and the user still claims they do not have access to it, the user that logged into the stolen account has his IP adress banned and their ISP is alerted.

J.) No Game on Gaia Online should alow their room to be private, although users do not have access to a private fishing room, it will greatly cut down on btting as admins can not ban people if they are not fully aware of their actions.

K.) Anyone who signs this petition shall not be banned simply because they support the petition.

L.) If Gaia does not follow each guideline and regulation, it must be shut down until they provide each and every feature.
