1. Pave Havens Road

Whereas, Havens Road is a two way road half of the way down. It presents a significant hazard to anyone travelling by vehicle on the road when having to go to a one vehicle road.

The large hazard is a sharp curve you cannot see around. When it rains it washes the road into in places. The constant regrading of the road produces delays and dangerous conditions for anyone traveling on Havens Road.

Whereas the constant regrading has been progressively less effective with every rain. Limestone and dirt has to be brought in to build the roadway back up. And ditches to be cleaned out. The town is incurring unnecessary expenses due to constant regrading and etc.

We the undersigned, respectfully request that the unpaved road immediately be properly prepared for paving and then paved as soon as possible. And to include repair or make ditches to accommodate the flooding of the road.

2. Comcast! We miss KBS World programs! Add MKtv!

As of November 1st, 2009 WMBC ended its broadcast of KBS World on digital channel 63.5. This service was free and only required a digital tuner connected to a television to be viewed within the metro NY/NJ area.

Two local cable companies-- Time Warner and Cablevision both offer a channel called MKtv which broadcasts many KBS World programs which are entertaining, educational, and family-friendly most of which offer english subtitles for non-Korean speakers.

A list of programs available on MK:

The MK coverage area includes:

Both of these providers are not offered in my town of residence. I am within the Comcast coverage area and I am sure that I am not the only one that want MKtv to be added to Comcast.

4. Enact Leash Laws for dogs

Oak Grove, KY is a rapidly growing area and needs to adopt a leash law for the safety of the citizens and the animals. Animals roaming free are more likely to come into contact with known rabies carriers such as skunks and raccoons. They are also more likely to spread parasites and other diseases to animals and humans.

Each year, free roaming animals cause millions of dollars in insurance claims, property loss and damage, medical bills, and loss of productivity. Animal bite injuries, property damage, and car accidents are major problems caused by animals allowed to run at large. Free-roaming dogs are a danger to local wildlife, they are traffic hazards, they spread disease and breed (causing an overpopulation problem) and in addition, some people just do NOT want these pests in their yard.

Dog owners, we therefore ask that you please have some consideration and either keep your dog indoors or put your dog on a leash when you let it out. We the undersigned feel that while it is everyone's individual right to own a pet, not everyone wants to come into contact with everyone else's pet.

Therefore, we would like to see a LEASH LAW enacted for dogs. We would like to see some official legislation on this topic.

7. Condemn House located at Hollar's Extension in West Providence Township

We, the undersigned, petition the supervisors of West Providence Township to condemn and have removed the house located at Hollar's Extension in West Providence Township in the town of Everett, PA.

This house was in a fire many years ago. No one has lived in it since that time. The owners purchased a mobile home and placed it on the property next to this burned out house. The house has been deteriorating since it burned. It now has broken windows, a front porch that is ready to cave in, and a roof that is rotting away.

This house is not only a nuisance, it is a hazard. Roofing is ready to fall off which could hurt an individual or damage others' property. The broken windows could entice individuals to try to enter the house and they could be injured. This house also attracts rodents and stray animals that can cause problems to other individuals living in the neighborhood.

This house hurts property values in the neighborhood. Many in the neighborhood have done improvements to their homes, only to learn that the property value has to be decreased because of this house. The tax value, however, remains the same on these properties. This devaluation is not fair to the rest of the individuals that live in this neighborhood.

8. Keep Mrs. Linda Dysart Teaching

On May 11, 2009 Mrs. Linda Dysart's class was informed that she would not be returning as she was being let go. Holding back tears she explained to the class how all of her classes had been redistributed to other teachers or completely taken off the available classes. Classes like drama, speech, and psychology were all given to other teachers to instruct. Classes like creative writing were gotten rid of.

She also coached both flags and show choir; she herself has not been informed of what is to come of those and is not even sure if she will be allowed to continue coaching them. Linda Dysart is an exceptional teacher and lady. If she is let go so many people will be let down. All the students taking, or planning to take, her prior mentioned classes will not be able to experience what an amazing teacher she is. If let go students in drama, psychology, speech, flags, and show choir will all be let down as they will not have the teaching of Mrs. Linda Dysart behind them.

She is an exceptional role model for Delta High School students and is one of the best we've seen in communicating, sympathizing, and directing students.

11. In support of a cooperative agreement with Autrey Mill Nature Preserve Assoc.

The Autrey Mill Nature Preserve and Heritage Center, is a unique facility in the bustling City of Johns Creek GA. It features 46 acres of forest, woodland trails, winding creek, heritage gardens, historic buildings, and animal exhibits.

The beautiful Autrey Mill of today was built over a 20-year period under the leadership of the non-profit Autrey Mill Nature Preserve Association (AMNP) Board and its talented staff, with the vital help of generous public and private supporters, and by harnessing the indispensable work of volunteers.

With the stability provided by a 30-year lease agreement (originally with Fulton County and now with the City of Johns Creek) AMNP has been able to conduct long-range planning; receive major grants; undertake larger, multi-year projects; and accept donations of heirlooms and important historic items. Operating under this lease, the AMNP Board has provided responsible stewardship of the land and continually made improvements.

On March 11, 2009, the City of Johns Creek took the extraordinary step of suing the AMNP non-profit corporation operated by community volunteers. In its lawsuit the City seeks to invalidate the 30-year lease and seeks control over the historic items that have been donated to AMNP over the years.

12. Protect Class Size Reduction

Studies done by California Department of Education and U.S. Department of Education consistently identified a positive relationship between reduced class size and improved student performance. Results from the Tennessee Project STAR (Student/Teacher Achievement Ratio) study have continually demonstrated that reducing class sizes in grades K-3 to 13-17 students substantially increases children's reading and mathematics scores. Our School District is proposing to increase these classes to 30-1.

13. CCIMLS Public Facing Web Site

THIS PETITION WILL BE CLOSED AT 9:00AM ON TUESDAY DECEMBER 9, 2008 AT WHICH TIME IT WILL BE PREPARED FOR PRESENTATION TO THE CCIAOR/CCIMLS BOARD OF DIRECTORS

On Monday November 24, 2008 sixteen members of the Cape Cod and Islands Association of Realtors assembled in Orleans to review the most recent developments of the CCIAOR/CCIMLS websites. Following are some of the questions discussed.

General questions and concerns:
• Did enough planning go into these web sites?
• What are the possible unintended consequences to CCIAOR/CCIMLS members?
• What is the primary objective?
• Whose interests are best served?
• These web sites will make it more difficult for agents to distinguish their Internet services from others.

Sales questions and concerns:
• Prospects may move away from the individual web sites of agents and agencies.
• Prospective buyers have little or no reason to register on a member’s web site.
• CCIAOR/CCIMLS is unfairly using membership dues to compete with the agents for prospect traffic.
• Agent/Agency web site investment of time, effort and treasure is wasted.

Rental questions and concerns:
• A highly publicized web site places the association in competition with the member's sites. Members spend a great deal of time and money on software and SEO. The members now have one more very powerful and strong competitor for rental cutomers.
• Rental listings are mostly non-exclusive. The new web sites will inevitably have the same property listed many times by different agencies with different rate schedules, availability calendars, etc. This will be confusing to the consumers and drive rental prices down.

In reliance of the Prime Minister's pre-election promises we the undersigned hereby petition the Prime Minister to Ban Live Exports in accordance with ALP`s then stated policy.

The Prime Minister is aware that the ALP pre policy promises aired on ABC Landline regarding the cruel live export trade have been broken by his Government within weeks of the 2007 elections.

During transportation the animals are subjected to inhumane conditions resulting in unacceptably high death rates and suffering. Upon arrival they suffer extreme cruelty and barbarism prior and during slaughter- practices that are illegal in Australia.

19. A Petition to Boycott British newspapers

This petition has arisen as a consequence of the biased and one-sided reporting emanating from most sectors of the British press.

We the British public feel that you are not voicing either our concerns or our opinions with respect to the McCann case. We are fed up of the press presenting a slanted and incorrect depiction of the opinions of many, many members of the public. As a consequence we now intend to stop buying your newspapers until you decide to report the McCann matter in a more judicious way.

Not everyone believes that leaving children alone in a hotel room was the correct course of action.

20. Let TC Sorell Play Football

Trenton Sorell had gotten into some trouble this summer. No one was hurt by his actions. He is a juvenile and he made a stupid mistake. Trenton is paying for his mistake by community service and probation.

The School Board has voted not to let him participate in football this upcoming season. Our problem is that policy has not been followed the past four years when situations like this occur. We feel that Trenton is being made an example of in this matter.

Football is his life and he keeps his grades up to play. By taking away football, they are taking away his education. Should there be a one strike and your out law for this school, or should these juveniles get a second chance and learn from their mistakes?

21. Support Mansion House Paintball

Mansion House Paintball field is owned by a local farmer whose farm has been in operation since 1939. This farmer has opened a portion of his property to paintball after seeing that there had been a vast amount of "painting" by the local teens. Teens were shooting at peoples homes and other property.

Mansion House Paintball is a small Paintball field located in Delaware. This field is currently under going up dating in order to make it more appealing to players around the United States.

Recently, someone has submitted a complaint that this field should be closed because paintball is a dangerous sport.

As many Delawareans know there is very little for our children/teens to do in the form of recreation. Mansion House Paintball helps keep children out of trouble and gives them something to do.

Since opening the field the vandalism by paint has dropped drastically and is almost non-existent.

23. Deny Curative Amendment Request: Cali Entertainment

Cumberland Township is being forced through Pennsylvania Law (Landowner Curative Amendment) to entertain an application to cure our zoning laws of an omission of the term "water park" on behalf of Cali Entertainment, Mechanicsburg PA. Cali Entertainment wants to purchase land, develop a "mixed used facility" including a hotel/theater/indoor out door water park and condominium space/retail space. The land in question, 96.7 acres of privately owned parcels is located at the intersection of Business 15 & Cunningham Road, Gettysburg, PA.

Cumberland Township residents, Freedom Township residents/businesses in the impact area were invited by certified letter to attend a special April 17th 2007 Curative Amendment Application Hearing at the Cumberland Township Offices, Fairfield Road. The residents in attendance who expressed opinion did so overwhelmingly against this curative amendment application and in fact against this project as a whole. The residents were not expecting such a high density development with multiple and ongoing demands of water and septic when the area was rezoned 3 years previous. Additionally, the size of the facility and it's components remove every spectre of real nature and wipes forever the serene bucolic quiet views. This facility will operate days, nights, weekends and all season long.

The attendees were informed that there is no public referendum required or permitted to deny this application at the outset. The Township soliciter advised that current PA law permits for only acceptance of curative amendments - there is no denial in a direct sense. They have to approve it and take the time and money to research what changes need to be made to the plan to make it happen.

Cumberland and Fairfield Township residents have grave concerns regarding the consequences of such a project from water use of this facility: not only the pools proposed but the regular commercial use. This project presents a bevy of environmental concerns from loss of habitat for native creatures, loss of greenspaces (note: handy landscaping does NOT replace greenspaces) to increased noise pollution from traffic, congestion on this road as there is no possible way this can go in without a traffic light; light intrusion from the facility, visual intrusion of this facility the folks who have to face this compound.

The plans as originally stated call for 85% impervious coverage which nearly doubles the current standards in the township of no greater than 45%.

In adequate EMS support in terms of manpower and equipment and water resources is a huge safety issue.

In this particular case harm comes to not only the quality of life for Cumberland Township residents but Freedom Township residents in the immediate impact area. Given the two townships being governed by separate entities and the final say being in the hands of Cumberland Township, the rights of those in Freedom Township appear to be swept under the rug as their supervisors have left them alone with their issues with no hope of support or protection.

We the undersigned are resolved that future problems resulting from approval of this curative amendement will be caused by a flurry of land speculation and rampant residential development. This will cause an influx of more residents to an area that will be woefully unprepared for their immediate and future needs, including but not limited to water, septic, educational, emergency/medical and professional services. The loss of greenspace and the further flushing of our wildlife from rural areas will also be devastating.

We also believe that despite the thousands of dollars and time spent rezoning the area over 3 years ago were not adequate to meet the savvy methods of developers/builders of this era.

25. Merciless team members speak up!!!

One of the captains of team Merciless, j-rod (jerad arias) has a history of being an elitist, displaying hard-nosed tactics to achieve his desires, constantly issuing double standards, and being totally unqualified for the position he occupies on team merciless (co-captain and 'coach').

These personality traits have been evident to numerous members of the paintball community since 2003, most recently to members of team Merciless (undersigned). We, as members of team Merciless, care about the direction of the team and we feel that if j-rod is allowed to run practice and carry on as co-captain and 'coach', the team will be going in the wrong direction, not to mention destroy team morale.

27. Halt proposed development on Glendale Court

Infinity Developer has proposed to build a single-family house on Glendale Court.

This action has created concerns about the undeveloped land and surrounding infrastructure issues.

We note the following concerns that have been raised by neighbors about existing problems:

STORM WATER DRAINAGE ISSUES:
. Neighbors have complained of flooding and soilerosion along the creek behind Glendale Court and Pine Valley Circle resulting from poor storm water drainage.

. Storm water from nearby school, Woodland, drains out of a corroded pipe into the debris and eroded creek behind Glendale Court and Pine Valley Circle, creating a run over.

. Run-off water improperly channeled onto nearby land/property has caused damage to vegetation and parts of the landscape on Glendale Court and Pine Valley Circle.

SEWER ISSUE:
. Neighbors have complained of sewage smell in the area behind Glendale Court and Pine Valley Circle. This is a health issue in the community.

We're seeing the blight in the neighborhood of sink holes, buckling/cracked streets and driveways. The proposed site is next to a vacant house, surrounded by these deteriorating conditions.

28. Right to Choose Educational Facility

Head Start is a program that was founded by parents and supported by government funds. The organizational structure of Head Start allows parents to vote on issues that will affect their children's well-being. Parents are entitled to reject the decisions made by board members.

The main objective at Head Start, Inc. should be to make sure the children are being taught in a healthy and safe environment. The move of Head Start from its current location to the Paulding's Children's Academy located at 145 Academy Drive in Dallas, Georgia 30132 was not voted on or approved by any parents who children attend the center located at 55 Hiram Drive in Hiram, Georgia 30341.

This move will cause parents to have to make alternate child care arrangements for their children. The center is not within reasonable proximity from each parents home and Head Start does not provide bus transportation for its students.

The new location smells unsanitary upon entering and parents are not allowed to take a walk through the center to get a better idea of the environment in which their children will be learning.
