1. We seek support from rest of India 
J & K Governor Gen, Sinha surveyed condition of pilgrims of Amarnath yatra & found that people have to relax in open tents and therefore he signed a project for constucting permanent shelters for pilgrims and alotted 100 acres (800 cannals) of land to shrine board after passing it in J & K assembly.
The Forest Minister in the Cabinet was from the PDP, a coalition partner in the government. Yet they (the PDP) refused to accept responsibility for the joint decision (of allocating forest land to set up temporary structures for facilities for Hindu pilgrims during the Amarnath Yatra) Then PDP and some Pro-pakistan parties started agitating against decision with anti nationalist slogans and ransacking public property.
The Congress sans PDP minority Govt took decision back and surrendered in front of these anti nationalist and fundamentalist forces. People of Jammu started agitating against this anti national, anti harmony decision with all groups together. Later jammu muslim comunity supported agitation through a press conference. When Omar Abdullah gave statement in parliament that his people will not give an inch of land to pilgrims or shrine board ; emotions n sentiments of jammu people ran high and one of the protesters KULDIP DOGRA commited sucide in front of 500 people.
At 3:00 am next day police took his body after beating his family, AND STARTED cremating HIS BODY BEFORE SUNRISE AT 4:00 AM WHICH IS AGAINST HINDUISUM. one of the family member used local temple loudspeaker and informed people, Anger rose high and people started beating police .Police hit back and violent agitation turned into massive rallies with more than 40,000 people. Police killed 2 protesters days after. Latest opression is that Local Cable TV as well as SMSes have been banned in Jammu.
Most sadly these people are not getting required support from national media against such dictatorship and their lonely battle is still ON.

the jonas brother have been on hannah montana, they made their own movie, they started filming their new show called j.o.n.a.s, they were on operah. i dont really remembeer them being on the suite life of zach and cody. sign this petition if you believe they should guest star on the suite life of zach and cody!!

4. Start a Big Brothers, Big Sisters Program in Brazil
Similiar to Big Brothers, Big Sisters of America a Big Sisters, Big Brothers program in Brazil needs to be started to prevent more children from going to the streets or into premature prostitution.
Also, to enable a closer bond between the huge gap of rich and poor Brazilians.
5. Get Rid Of Quizmania & Midnight Zoo

Night owl TV watchers in Australia are angry at the lack of selection after midnight on all 3 commercial networks in Australia.
The Nine Network started screening a version of Channel Ten's "Up-Late Game Show" called "Quizmania".
A week later Seven started their own version "Midnight Zoo". All these shows are exactly the same.
Where's the variety? Channel 31's Fishcam and SBS's Weatherwatch are more interesting then these quiz, and I use that term lightly, shows.
This petition is the try to get the Nine and Seven Networks in Australia to listen to their viewers and act accordingly.

We received your letter dated 29 September 2006 regarding Midnight Zoo.
The final episode of Midnight Zoo goes to air the morning of October 21 2006. After that time, the Seven Network will again be scheduling normal programming including brand new episodes of The Jury and repeats of series 1 and 2 of Lost.
We hope this provides you with the variety on late night TV that you have been missing.

Channel Nine has lost their deal with CBS and Network Ten has struck a deal with them. The Late Show with David Letterman will move from Nine.
6. Get Back The Aussie Forum on GSB

The Aussie Group was started by Daniel in early 2005. It started out with about 5 people. Word soon grew and it became a big thing.
A group of people [TRPM] had a fight with some people and they left to start their own forum.
Many people still used the forum, but Dujo deleted it saying it was spam that "You [Me, Hannah] + 3 other people". Which it was not.
7. Induct Marty Stuart into Country Music Hall Of Fame
Marty Stuart started his musical career by playing mandolin with Lester Flatt in 1972 at the age of 12. After Flatt's death in 1979, Stuart released two albums that were left on Flatt's contract, and has played with such legends as Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, among others.
He has been a constant mainstay in the country music industry, with album releases "This One's Gonna Hurt You", "Country Music", "Busy Bee Cafe", "Hillbilly Rock", "The Pilgrim", and "Tempted". He has written the score to the feature films "Waking Up In Reno", "All The Pretty Horses", and "Daddy and Them".
He recently started an imprint under Universal South Records, called Superlatone Records, and will release three albums, one in which is a gospel album, one is a tribute to the music of the American Indian, and the other will be of his music. He has released a photography book, and has six more on the table.
Kevin Young has been the core drummer of local hxc band my dying wish, after a year of struggling my dying wish has started to make an impact on the hxc world.
Because of Kevin's success in my dying wish another band (name not listed for safety reasons) is trying to take kevin for their own.

9. Continue the anime series - Inuyasha!
Arts Central has run commercials of the anime "Hellsing" to be aired at 11.30pm, Wednesday - Fridays, come 5th January 2005, thereby implying the discontinuance of the show "Inuyasha" which started showing at the same timeslots in the last quarter of 2004. This news is extremely disheartening to the huge growing fan following of "Inuyasha".
We hereby strongly implore Arts Central to keep broadcasting Inuyasha at the same timeslot till the very last episode. Hellsing would be very much welcomed at another timeslot if Arts Central so insists on airing this new anime show.
10. Foxtel bring UK soaps up to date
September 05, 2004
UK soaps Coronation Street and Eastenders are shown on Foxtels UKTV channel. Episodes currently screening are 2 years behind episodes screening in the UK. Originally these soaps were shown only 2-3 times a week in UK but now Eastenders is shown 4 times a week and Coronation Street 5 times a week.
For the last couple of years UKTV has started showing double episodes of Eastenders over the Summer to help catch up but never has it shown double eps of Coronation Street. This means it will never catch up unless extra episodes are shown.
I have started this petition as I love watching both shows and although I appreciate the double helping of Eastenders watching 1.5 hours of soap a night is a big commitment and can be overkill. It seems only logical to me to screen some episodes of both on weekends instead until both are up to date.
One idea could be to move Eastenders 4 eps to Sat & Sun 6.30pm-7.30pm whilst showing double Coronation St weekdays and when Coronation St catches up move Eastenders back to weekdays but leave Eastenders on weekends until it also catches up.

11. Investigations on Depo Provera Contraceptive Injection
I started the depo-provera contraceptive injection in October 2000 after having my son and was told by the Dr that once I decide to stop in the future my cycles may take up to 6 months to regulate and for my fertility to return to normal. In Feb 2002 I decided I would not have my next injection as we wanted to try for a baby the following year.
I did not menstruate at any point whilst on depo so was surprised when a cycle in June 2002 begun a string of regular cycles. I thought that everything was back to normal and we started trying to conceive in January 2003. My cycles were regular but nothing was happening. NINETEEN cycles later and I have been referred to a Fertility Consultant at the local hospital and I am on Clomid because there is something wrong with the hormone levels affecting the quality of my eggs.
I am 25 years old, I already have a son and the only thing I have done is take Depo. I have since joined many fertility boards and found that this is a COMMON problem for women who have had depo and I want this recognised. If you are lucky some Dr's give you a 1 year warning for your cycles to regulate but mostly Dr's turn their noses up at you if you suggest your problems are related to depo.

12. Help support women's rights in Jordan
This petition was started by teenagers in Ontario. They had been given an assignment to study women's rights in the world and were disgusted by their findings. They feel that it is Canada's role as a leading nation to show that it really cares about these situations.
Todays's society is too enravelled with their own affairs and we believe that it is time for change. Hopefully with this petition, it will further interest citizens of Canada to look into this issue, and see for themeselves the terrible situation that is and has been occuring in the third world for many years. There were no girls in the group that started this petition, so it is not an act of feminism.
In Jordan about half of the population of the Jordanian woman there are being abused. No matter where these woman turn they are most likely to get sexually, verbally or physically abused.
Average monthly income for males in both the public and private sectors is much higher than that of females, while the unemployment rate among men is 14%, compared to 22% among women.
Well, it all started waaaay back when i was in grade 3. That is when my friends and i really started to get interested in music... but there was one thing wrong. Everybody seemed to be listening to "rap" or "pop" music...when people asked me what i listened to, they laughed at me! What on god's green earth is wrong with country music?! Their burning insults and lame comments did not however discourage me from listening to country music. But ever since then, i have never found another person that listens to it! What ever happened to country music?
Can you imagine a live goat being thrown in a pond and torn apart by young men? Can you picture 7000 young buffaloes being rounded up and killed by a thousand drunk men carrying khukuri knives? A festival where 200.000 animals are killed to please a goddess? Mass sacrifice with financial support by the government?
Perhaps you cannot. However, events such as these take place regularly in Nepal. We at Friends of SPCAN have launched the 'Worship Without Cruelty' campaign in order to raise awareness about these practices and to ty and stop them. Please take 5 minutes of your time to write a letter to the Nepalese authorities and/or Nepalese Embassy in your country.
The Gadimai Mela takes place every five years in Bariyarpur, Bara district, in the south of Nepal and is scheduled for Kartik (October-November) this year. The fair is infamous for the large number of animals (up to 200.000) which are sacrificed to appease the Gadimai goddess. The fair reaches its climax on an 'auspicious' day, when thousands of buffaloes are sacrificed. The blood letting that takes place turns the entire area into a marshy land of blood. It is expected that this year some 60.000 young he-buffaloes will be killed, as well as an additional 140.000 chicken, goats, pigs, birds and other poultry.
The first ritual during Gadimai is to worship the weapons which are used in the sacrifice. The priests chant different hymns to appease the Goddess Gadimai. Once the pre-sacrificial rituals end the animals are brought in for the kill. The sacrifice starts with the offering of five different animals: pig, buffalo, goat, wild rats and birds which include chicken and pigeon. The different animals represent the mental obscurations sacrificed by the community including anger, stupidity and desire.
After the sacrifice of the first animal, a goat, thousands of pigeons are sacrificed by severing their heads. Next three wild rats are brought and sacrificed before a comb like pole. After this more than 250 people carrying naked swords and axes wrapped in red clothes, all with a license to kill, approach the temple. They frantically rush towards the field where more than 7,000 young buffaloes are kept. Before the beasts are slaughtered, seven buffaloes tied to a pole undergo the sacrificial ritual. In the end, only the heads of those gentle animals who were alive just a few moments ago, remain.
The Khokana festival is held every year in August, the day after Gai Jatra. A 5-6 month old goat is thrown in a pond close to Rudrayani temple in Khokana, a village in the south of Kathmandu Valley. Nine young men enter the pond and start to tear the goat apart by grasping its legs, ears, hoof or tail. The one who manages to kill the goat is the 'hero' and leads the Shinkali dance which is held afterwards. Khokana residents have witnessed the barbaric scene year in year out and think it provides religious merit. It is not clear why and when the cruel goat-killing was introduced. Locals believe that when children started to drown in the pond in the 12th century, residents started to drown a live goat to appease the gods. However, there is evidence showing that devotees in former times offered fruits and flowers in the temple and that the act with the struggling goat was introduced to create a spectacle.
The campaign against the Gadimai and Khokana cruelties will include letter writing to Nepal's political leaders, awareness raising programmes in schools following by signature campaigns, meetings with Bara officials and possibly a demonstration

16. Improve the pathetic state of Reliance Infocom Services
Ever since the reliance Infocom service started it has been nothing but a joke. The network isnt well spread, SMS don't work, tech support rarely has an idea as to when things will actually work. The so called 'features' of the handsets are actually shortcomings and Reliance has no plans of replacing them. The Samsung handset can't ring and vibrate at the same time. Moreover the max SMS length is an apalling 140 chars.
17. Ban Dolphin Tuna
This petition was started on July 25th, 2003. I started it after reading something about dolphins being killed for tuna. Animals have rights, that includes Dolphins. Yes, I see that fish are still being killed for tuna, but the only way to stop making dolphin tuna is to stop making tuna all together.
18. Stop Victimisation of Talat Butt
PETITION TO STOP THE VICTIMISATION OF TALAT BUTT BY SWEDISH REDERI ALLANDIA
Background:
Talat Butt is a worker from Kashmir based in Sweden and working at M/S Birger Jarl - the old name for the Baltic Star when it was under the Panamanian flag. He started working on board in November 1997. Along with his 24 Pakistani colleagues, he was used as cheap labour in grave violation of the Swedish law. Talat Butt had a 12-hour working day for seven days a week. This went on for 21 months without a single day off. His wage was less then SEK 7,000 (approximately $750 or Euros) a month.
He started a struggle against this injustice. Working class organisations including SEKO Sjöfolk gave him help in his just struggle. After a long fight, he won equal rights according to the Swedish laws for the non-EU workers. It cost the company - Rederi - around SEK 5,000,000 (half a million dollars) for 24 workers. New situation:
By early 2002, Rederi changed its flag and registered itself with the Swedish flag. Using its new registration, the company tried to make use of European Union laws to fire us.
Talat Butt, one more time, started a campaign to save our jobs and for an improvement in our working conditions. As a result, he had to face deportation from Sweden during this campaign. The Swedish Immigration police arrested him from his work place and detained him for two hours. The police had to release him as there was no charge against him to keep him in custody.
Next day, however, when Talat Butt went onto the boat for work, he was stopped by the police with a notice served by Rederi. The company, through this notice, had banned him from going on the boat either for work or for meeting his colleagues. The company was afraid that his visits on board would help other workers getting organised.
Meantime, Rederi announced 25 vacancies for stewards through the Arbetformadeling (Labour Exchange). These jobs were announced without serving us any prior notice.
Talat Butt, along with his colleagues and some working class organisations, formed a "Solidarity Committee for Justice on the Baltic Star". The Committee launched a campaign to stop the deportation of Rederi´s non-European workers.
Visa denied
Following this struggle, Migrationsverket (the Immigration Office) granted 18-month work permits to all the workers but not to Talat Butt. (Again, more information also at: www.justiceatbalticstar.com
Rederi didn't find any reason to lay off Talat, but still his employment papers were not sent to the Migrationsverket for his work permit. He was however getting his full salary meantime.
Rederi, in November 2002, offered Talat Butt a job in a meeting with SEKO Sjöfolk. The job was offered on "M/S Harley-Davidson" to solve the conflict. However, after one month, Rederi withdrew the job offer.
This state of affairs went on until 28th of February 2003 when the Migrationsverket finally denied Talat Butt any visa as Rederi management had deliberately avoided sending relevant papers to the Migrationverket.
The company has manoeuvred in order to fire him by denying him his stay and work permit in Sweden. This is just a tactic to fire him.
This is clear victimisation for his peaceful, just and bold struggle for working class rights guaranteed by the Swedish law. This also is an attempt to make an example out of him for those who want to struggle for justice and equal rights.
Demands of the campaign: Stop the victimisation! Grant a work permit for Talat Butt! Allow SEKO Sjöfolk intervention to help Talat Butt!

I started this petition in the hopes of getting a big amount of people to sign saying they want a better Hocus Pocus DVD with special features such as Deleted Scenes from the movie featured in the theatrical trailer, Behind the Scenes featurettes, or Interviews.
