1. High Profile Campaign To Raise Government Awareness & Funding of Children's Neuroblastoma Cancer
Neuroblastoma is one of the most aggressive forms of childhood cancer; after domestic accidents, cancer is the second most frequent cause of death in children.
It is the single most common type of cancer in infants and the 3rd most common type of cancer in children. However, very few people have ever heard of it and most do not know the signs and symptoms.
This means that although symptoms may have been present in the child for some time, in over 75% of children, the diagnosis is not made until the disease has metastasized and reached stage IV, the final stage. Prognosis for this group is very grim, offering a 30% chance of survival.
In contrast, children diagnosed in the early stages have up to a 95% chance of survival.
Treating a child who has stage IV neuroblastoma costs an average of $976,860 in the first year alone. 600-1000 kids a year are diagnosed with neuroblastoma in the US every year.

5. Support President Musharraf: PLEASE don't go!
This is a petition drawn up in light of the recent events in Pakistan. It seems the opposition parties after winning the majority of seats are intent on making President Musharraf resign. Through this petition ordinary Pakistanis make an impassioned plea to President Musharraf to NOT RESIGN!
As ordinary Pakistani citizens it is heartbreaking to see that former political leaders such as Nawaz Shareef and Asif Ali Zardari back in power. It is these same people whose previous rule was characterised by intense corruption, mismanagement and dazzling incompetence. They looted and plundered the country.
Nawaz Sharif’s incompetent government and Benazir’s corruption (wife of Mr. Zardari who is popularly known in Pakistan as 'Mr. 10%') left Pakistan in a dismal state. Thus prior to Musharraf’s debut on the stage of Pakistani politics in 1999,
* The country was almost bankrupt;
* Pakistan was on the verge of being declared a “failed” and “terrorist” nation;
* It was listed as being the second most corrupt nation in the world (the first being Nigeria)
* During the time of Benazir and Sharif, the KSE 100 index was less than 1300. Now it is over 12000.
* Atrocities such as judicial killings of opponents took place shamelessly throughout Pakistan, particularly in Karachi, for which Benazir and Sharif were both primarily responsible.
During President Musharraf's rule Pakistan's economy has seen unprecedented growth. Corruption is at an all time low and large-scale development is taking place all over Pakistan, with a significant amount of construction going on in Karachi and areas of Baluchistan. Moreover, Musharraf is the only leader of Pakistan who has taken a strong stance against religious extremism.
This is a crucial stage in Pakistan's history and we need Musharraf to help us through this phase. We, the people of Pakistan are sick and tired of seeing our national wealth looted and our country mismanaged by incompetent and satanic politicians such as Zardari and Nawaz Shareef.
6. ADDITIONAL GRADUATION AT BETA TECH
August 3, 2006
This petition is to state that here at Beta Tech we should have more than one graduation date.
A student should not have to wait almost an entire year to walk across a stage in a cap and gown that they pay for.
7. Human Rights for Guantanamo Detainees
At least 210 detainees have been on hunger strike since 11 August in protest at their conditions. An earlier hunger strike was stopped when the US authorities promised some changes. They reneged on these promises and the detainees have resumed their protest.
Anyone familiar with the Irish hunger strikes of the 1980s will realise that these detainees are at a critical stage - it's a matter of life and death. Please contact your civil representatives in European, national, regional and local bodies and urge them to press the American authorities, as a matter of urgency, to release those held without detention and allow families, medical practitioners and democratic representatives access to these detainees.
Detainees have now been held at Guantanamo for over three years without proper access to a due process of law. Their families are refused access and they are not even allowed proper access to their legal representatives and where that access is allowed unreasonable restrictions are placed on the lawyers concerned.
This situation needs to be resolved and proper rule of law established in places that are used as prisons by the American administraion and its allies.
8. School color issue at Richland
Wanting to allow the use of navy blue or gray on sweatshirts, warmups, hats, jackets, sweatpants, etc, etc on the field, court, stage or in the stands before any contests held regardless if it is a sporting event, speech and or debate contest.
In no way does this petition have an effect on changeing the school colors of columbia blue and gold.
We, the undersigned registered students of San Diego State University (SDSU), hereby petition the Theatre, Film and Television Department of SDSU, to submit to the students request to have Theatre 525 also known as Stage Combat offered in the next school year 2005-2006.
Stage Combat is a highly popular class for all classmen in the major Theatre Arts. Theatre 525 has been utilized by students in their forever attempt to improve on their skills as actors and professionals in the Theatre industry at SDSU and after graduation.
This personal enrichment is a great addition to ones confidence, health and mind.

11. Find out the Greywethers Login
There was an online game titled Chasing the Wish that lasted 6 months. This particular puzzle was never solved. (There are 13 pages that lead up to the Login page). On Sept 21, 2003, there was a post game mini quest and poor Dave lost all material for it. After frantically reproducing the puzzles for the mini quest, the second stage, which included the Greywethers Login, still refused to cooperate. So, the Greywethers Login is still flying in the wind, as are we, the faithful players.
12. We Want MC E.N.D. at the next Hulla!!
I created this petition on behalf of the ravers that will attend and have attended a hullabaloo event before. Being that Hullabaloo gets worldwide recognition as one of the biggest happy hardcore events in the world, i see it as a good opportunity to get the name of a great performer out. E.N.D. is one of North America's fastest rising stars in the world of hardcore, in both MCing and DJing, and we would like to see him on the stage rockin' the mic at the next hullabaloo!
13. Some one get Britney off the stage!
She hardly wears any cloths and her words are bad. What kind of role model is she?
14. Glivec should be placed on the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme
Nicholas Poulos is 30 years of age with a wife and 20 month old daughter. Nick was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia in the Chronic Phase in April Last year. Nick's only options for remission are the drugs Interferon, the new drug Glivec or a bone marrow transplant. As he has no suitable donor at the moment for a bone marrow transplant this is not an option.
Unfortunately Nick is intolerant to the drug Interferon as he suffered an extreme adverse reaction resulting in him being hospitalised.
This leaves Glivec as the only option unless a suitable donor is found for a transplant.
Glivec is only available under the Federal Government's Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme for patients with Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia in the Accelerated or Blast phase. The accelerated phase is when the disease is developing more quickly. The Blast phase is the final stage of Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia and patients in this phase would have only a matter of months to live.
Obviously we do not wish to wait for him to reach this stage. Currently the cost of Glivec is $4000.00 per month.
