Open letter from the Community of Global Defenders of Truth, Justice, Peace and Tolerance:
The modern world is crying with blood and tears for a universal and sincere recognition of these values. Are not these values enshrined in the Holy Quran and the teachings of our beloved Prophet (saw)?
Over the last 50 years (half a century!) no single human being has supported and defended these values more ardently than the Most Venerable Sheikh ul Islam Muhammed Nazim Adil Haqqani.
He was born in Cyprus and brought up and educated in a great tradition of learning and practice by some of the greatest saintly scholars of Islam, in the last century. In his mission to serve the Almighty Allah Ta'ala, Sheikh Nazim has traveled the world to communicate the message of Truth from the shores of California in the west to those of Japan in the east, and from the confines of the Caucasus in the North to the perimeter of the southern seas in South Africa. His 25 years (1975-2000)of observance of the holy fasting month of Ramadan in Britain, the nightly celebration of Teravih prayers in London, and endless weeks of lecturing, advice and support to countless number of adherents to the faith of Islam, and to non-Muslims, are all testimony to a remarkable life dedicated to preaching Truth, Justice, Peace and Tolerance.
Having now returned to his native Cyprus he continues to dedicate whatever remains of his life to serving the cause of Allah Ta'ala as before. Recent events in TRNC (Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus) regarding the harassment of Sheikh Nazim are deplorable to say the least. His weekly newsletter- one sided A4 printout, 40-50 in number- has worried the TRNC police (in TRNC police forces are under the military forces of mainland Turkey and not the local government minister) so much so that they confiscated a computer on 22-03-2006 and they are now running a full scale investigation which will lead to the prosecution of Sheikh Nazim for allegedly acting against the TRNC!
The message given out in Sheikh Nazim's leaflets do not carry any material that threatens national security or is inflammatory and likely to produce an upheaval. They are simple guidance calling on all people to recognize their creator and not to neglect their duty to Him. The forces responsible for this unfortunate behavior are acting independently of the democratic government of the TRNC.
The government of the TRNC is democratically elected and the whole world has followed with intent the evolution of democracy on mainland Turkey and the TRNC. It is a great credit to the people of these lands that they act as a beacon of democracy to the rest of the Muslim world, which is at present caught up in the throes of change.
The personality and standing of Sheikh Nazim is undoubtedly linked to the march towards freedom and peace of this important geographical and strategic region of the globe. It is sad to note that those who want to hamper this natural evolution of events leading to the welfare and prosperity of society misunderstand the essence of Sheikh Nazim's message.
After more than a century of official atheism, crass materialism, capitalism -you name it- human society across the world inspite of severe dislocations to- day seem to be poised to recognize the role of his creator in his worldly affairs. Many heads of state and government across the world do not hesitate to express publicly their belief in and worship of God.
The message of Sheikh Nazim is pure and simple, namely : Acknowledge Allah Ta'ala as your creator and Master first and the rest will follow. Let government and society show allegiance to the Lord Almighty- the fall out of a sincere and genuine faith in Him can but lead to peace, prosperity and happiness not only in this physical world but most importantly in the next world after death.
No amount of improvement in economic, scientific and technological progress etc is likely to bring peace to a world in dire need of it when this important criterion of Belief in Allah Ta'ala is missing in human affairs.
Sheikh Nazim is highly respected by both governments on the island of Cyprus as an exponent for peace. His role in the last referendum for unification of Cyprus was crucial in enabling the TRNC to project a worldwide and unique image of tolerance. This tolerance in fact is a national characteristic of the TRNC people.
We call on the police and the Turkish military presence in the TRNC to reconsider their position in the light above. May Allah Ta'ala help them to do so.

33. Expose False Child Abuse Reporting
The Hennepin County Juvenile court prosecutes so many false child Abuse cases that it is damaging families unnecessarily. I think that a class action suit should be filed against them for defamation of Character and Slander.
The courts take the word of a child mad at the time at their parent or guardian and file a report that goes to the police. Whether the police drop the case or not the Hennepin County prosecuter still gets a copy and files a suit on a dropped case. This means the innocent person then has to do some form of restitution for something that should never has been tried in the first place, and ends up with a record they don't deserve. They are faced with background checks and the inability to obtain decent jobs to provide a decent standard of lifestyle to children that are no longer angry.
The problem still remains that the child needs to get disciplined so they won't end up a menance to society but this is not taken into account when that same child that lied in the first place is stealing or vandalizing or some other horrific crime that could have been prevented before the right to discipline a child was taken away from their parent.
34. Please Don't Euthanize Pit Bulls By Default

Petition to encourage the Michigan Humane Society to stop its policy to euthanize all surrendered or seized pit bulls because of their breed.
Reality television is a cancer in the fragile entity we call society. It is turning unambitious losers into couch-dwelling slobs with no purpose in life, giving them a reality which isn't real, fulfilling their desire to live an interesting life by forcing them to live a shitty one through others.
Reality television is evil.
36. Virginia - We have paid our debt to society.
By the end of 2001, a record 6.6 million people were in the United States correctional system. One in every 32 adults was either in prison or on parole. Almost 4 million people were on probation at the end of 2001, up 2.8 percent over 2000. The prison population grew by 1.1 percent, the smallest annual increase in nearly three decades.[1]
The increased number of prisoners has resulted in increased numbers of released prisoners seeking to reenter mainstream society. This is creating a major social and public policy problem in the United States. People enter prisons poorly equipped to be productive members of society and they typically leave prison in worse shape than they enter it. The problem of recidivism is partially due to this poor preparation for the world outside of prison. Ex-offenders cannot find or hold jobs and before long many renew a life of crime and are returned to jail.
Marc Mauer, assistant director of the Sentencing Project, a Washington think tank that follows criminal-justice issues, said the laws are taking jobs away from people who served time for their mistakes and have since put their lives back together.
"You have lots of felons who were convicted 20 years ago and who haven't been involved in a crime since," he said.
The vast majority of those in jail do not present a direct, violent threat to the average citizen. Many are drug addicts and dealers, and a large number are illegal aliens. Hardened, violent criminals are a minority of those incarcerated. Unfortunately, the conditions in prisons themselves and the stigma of having a criminal record often lead those incarcerated to increasing levels of anti-social behavior.
What happens to those of us that have complied with and have truely been rehabilatated? We deserve to work and take care of our families. After all, we paid our debt to society.
37. Keep The Society Hill II Bus Route
The Society Hill II Association and some residents (2) took a vote on whether or not to keep the current bus route that runs through our community and voted to stop the bus from coming through the community.
The new bus stop will be located across route 440 where the bus depot is curently located. The problem is that there was no posted notice of the upcoming vote and many residents did not know about the upcoming issue therefore not allowing them to vote.
The signers of this petition agree: The World Cutltural Society is an important club and should be launched in Kinnelon High School.
We feel that this club would be optimal to cultural understanding in the town of Kinnelon, New Jersey.
39. Protecting the national identity of the USA
The idea of America being a multicultural community --- which has served only to dilute our sovereignty and our national identity. We have to stop worrying about whether we are offending some individual or his culture. After the terrorist attacks on 9/11, the majority of Americans came together bound by patriotism. However, it wasn't long before the "politically correct" group began complaining about the possibility that our patriotism was offending "others" -- our own enemies!
I am not against immigration. Our population is almost entirely comprised of descendants of immigrants. However, there are some things those who have recently come to our country both legally and illegally, and some born here, need to understand. As Americans, we have our OWN culture, our OWN society, our OWN language and our OWN lifestyle -- developed over centuries of struggles, trials and errors and victories of men and women who have sought freedom. We speak ENGLISH, not Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society, Learn the Language! If you don't like our customs, our lifestyle, why did you come here?
Our First Amendment gives every citizen the right to express his opinion, and we will allow you every opportunity to do so. But, once you're done complaining, whining, griping about our flag, our pledge, our national motto, our way of life, God as a part of our Culture, Christian principles which founded this nation, I highly encourage you to take advantage of one other great American freedom: The right to leave!
The 1996 (DOMA) Defense of Marriage Act was enacted into law. This law clearly states that the definition of marriage is a bond between one woman and one man. This clearly states that same sex relations are not considered to be married legaly.
Taken from a letter from Patty Murray, she states "The Constitution leaves marriage to be regulated by the states rather than the federal government."
Another letter from Adam Smith on the Gay Marriage Bill states, "The amendment in question would prohibit states from allowing gay marriage... After evaluating the issue carefully, I have serious concerns with theis amendment and will oppose it. . . I do not see gay marriage as a threat that would chang the rights or obligations of heterosexual marriage. The real threat to marriage is abuse, neglect or outright lack of commitment to the contract people have voluntarily entered into when taking marriage vows. I believe our society is made stronger buy more committed and stable relationships, and we should encourage that."
Robert Benne and Gerald McDermott | posted 02/19/2004 has this to say, " We believe there are compelling reasons why the institutionalization of gay marriage would be 1) bad for marriage, 2) bad for children, and 3) bad for society.
1. The first casualty of the acceptance of gay marriage would be the very definition of marriage itself. For thousands of years and in every Western society marriage has meant the life-long union of a man and a woman. Such a statement about marriage is what philosophers call an analytic proposition. The concept of marriage necessarily includes the idea of a man and woman committing themselves to each other. Any other arrangement contradicts the basic definition.
Scrambling the definition of marriage will be a shock to our fundamental understanding of human social relations and institutions. One effect will be that sexual fidelity will be detached from the commitment of marriage. The advocates of gay marriage themselves admit as much. "Among gay male relationships, the openness of the contract makes it more likely to survive than many heterosexual bonds," Andrew Sullivan, the most eloquent proponent of gay marriage, wrote in his 1996 book, Virtually Normal. "There is more likely to be a greater understanding of the need for extramarital outlets between two men than between a man and a woman. … Something of the gay relationship's necessary honesty, its flexibility, and its equality could undoubtedly help strengthen and inform many heterosexual bonds."
The former moderator of the Metropolitan Community Church, a largely homosexual denomination, made the same point. "Monogamy is not a word the gay community uses," Troy Perry told The Dallas Morning News. "We talk about fidelity. That means you live in a loving, caring, honest relationship with your partner. Because we can't marry, we have people with widely varying opinions as to what that means. Some would say that committed couples could have multiple sexual partners as long as there's no deception."
A recent study from the Netherlands, where gay marriage is legal, suggests that the moderator is correct. Researchers found that even among stable homosexual partnerships, men have an average of eight partners per year outside their "monogamous" relationship.
In short, gay marriage will change marriage more than it will change gays.
Further, if we scramble our definition of marriage, it will soon embrace relationships that will involve more than two persons. Prominent advocates hope to use gay marriage as a wedge to abolish governmental support for traditional marriage altogether. Law Professor Martha Ertman of the University of Utah, for example, wants to render the distinction between traditional marriage and "polyamory" (group marriage) "morally neutral." She argues that greater openness to gay partnerships will help us establish this moral neutrality (Her main article on this topic, in the Winter 2001 Harvard Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Law Review, is not available online, but she made a similar case in the Spring/Summer 2001 Duke Journal Of Gender Law & Policy). University of Michigan law professor David Chambers wrote in a widely cited 1996 Michigan Law Review piece that he expects gay marriage will lead government to be "more receptive to [marital] units of three or more" (1996 Michigan Law Review).
2. Gay marriage would be bad for children. According to a recent article in Child Trends, "Research clearly demonstrates that family structure matters for children, and the family structure that helps the most is a family headed by two biological parents in a low-conflict marriage." While gay marriage would encourage adoption of children by homosexual couples, which may be preferable to foster care, some lesbian couples want to have children through anonymous sperm donations, which means some children will be created purposely without knowledge of one of their biological parents. Research has also shown that children raised by homosexuals were more dissatisfied with their own gender, suffer a greater rate of molestation within the family, and have homosexual experiences more often.
Gay marriage will also encourage teens who are unsure of their sexuality to embrace a lifestyle that suffers high rates of suicide, depression, HIV, drug abuse, STDs, and other pathogens. This is particularly alarming because, according to a 1991 scientific survey among 12-year-old boys, more than 25 percent feel uncertain about their sexual orientations. We have already seen that lesbianism is "chic" in certain elite social sectors.
Finally, acceptance of gay marriage will strengthen the notion that marriage is primarily about adult yearnings for intimacy and is not essentially connected to raising children. Children will be hurt by those who will too easily bail out of a marriage because it is not "fulfilling" to them.
3. Gay marriage would be bad for society. The effects we have described above will have strong repercussions on a society that is already having trouble maintaining wholesome stability in marriage and family life. If marriage and families are the foundation for a healthy society, introducing more uncertainty and instability in them will be bad for society.
In addition, we believe that gay marriage can only be imposed by activist judges, not by the democratic will of the people. The vast majority of people define marriage as the life-long union of a man and a woman. They will strongly resist redefinition. Like the 1973 judicial activism regarding abortion, the imposition of gay marriage would bring contempt for the law and our courts in the eyes of many Americans. It would exacerbate social conflict and division in our nation, a division that is already bitter and possibly dangerous.
I strive daily to uphold the laws of the land but what is going on in the Nation about Marriage, I must speak up. I am a Christian and the higer voice we should seek and listen to is that of the Bible. Let me quote the breath of God in this matter, "For this reason, a man (male) will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife (woman), and they shall become one flesh." Genesis 2:24
There was a problem with this same thing in the Bible, what does it say about Gays and Lesbians? "Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman, that is detestable." Leviticus 18:22
" Are you still so dull ? Jesus asked them Don't you see that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then out of the body? But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart and these make the man unclean. For out of the heart comes evil thoughts, murder, adultry, sexual immorality, theft, false testamony, slander. These are what makes a man unclean." Matthew 15:16-20
WE find in many other New Testament books of warnings of immoral relations, we must listen to them.
41. Abolish Dangerous Dog Act in the UK.
The aim of this petition is to abolish the Dangerous Dog Act on the grounds that it is the usually the owner's fault if a dog is aggressive, and it is possible to reform dogs, which is fairer then executing them.
42. Protect Karim Khadr, an Al Qaeda child victim
The people of Canada are incensed by the return of the Khadr family, a self-described "al Qaeda family".
A son of 14 years is included in this family. When he was still an infant he was placed in an al Qaeda // Taliban camp for his education. Did he deserve this? Or did he, does he now, deserve our protection from abusive parenting?
43. Protect Society--Teach gender roles at school!
Society today is weakened by the lack of gender roles. We must start teaching our children these roles. We must show girls that a woman's main role is keeper at home--a homemaker, and the man is the breadwinner.
I am calling for three things:
1. Universal Home Economics class--as a required course for high school and middle school for girls.
2. More strict dress codes at school--Thighs must be covered, and girls must wear skirts or dresses.
3. Gender-segregated physical education classes--to preserve the modesty of our children.
These things need to happen. We must create a strong future for America. We must reinstate these gender roles to make sure America does not continue to fail.

45. Gimme Ten Again!

celebration in Mainstream Society.
We've all seen the bettas in their little cups in Wal-Mart or pet chain stores. And we've seen the crowded tanks of goldfish. But what happens after the fish are purchased is sometimes inhumane.
Goldfish are sometimes forced to live in tiny "goldfish bowls" which are NOT suitable for goldfish at all. Goldfish grow to become SIX INCHES or more. These bowls are rarely more than five inches in length, and three inches in width. Goldfish produce more waste than many other fish, and these "goldfish bowls" quickly fill with waste. The tops of these bowls are rather small, and do not allow for a proper filter, thus carbon monoxide and ammonia will build up very quickly and eventually kill the fish.
Bettas tend to have just as worse a time as goldfish. In stores, many employees will tell the customer bettas will do fine in tiny cups their entire lives. Well, I'll tell you this. If you have a happy male betta, he will blow a bubble nest in the water, even if there is no female betta in sight. I have NEVER known a male in a cup to blow a bubble nest. Why? They are kept in very cramped conditions, rarely given water changes, and are forced to live swimming in their own waste. I realize many people keep bettas in their work office, but your office would look one heck of a lot better if you dished out the ten extra dollars and bought your betta a five or ten gallon tank for him to live in. One common myth is that males and females can live happily together. THEY CANNOT. There is the rare case where they can, but if left long together, the male usually kills the female.
There is also the occasional village idiot who comes up with "Betta Fight Rings", much like Pitbull Fight Rings, where they place two males in the same tank and bet on whose betta will win. Many of the time both bettas die, and if one lives, they are usually too tattered and die soon after. I ask you, even if they are "just fish", do they not deserve the best care possible? They are more than just decorations for your living room, or 99¢ you paid to play a game at a fair. I'm sure fish value their life more than just a couple of dollars.
I say to you, don't fish, like dogs, cats, horses, or birds, deserve rights, also? Should they be forced to live in dirty, cramped tanks in pet stores until someone comes along to purchase them. The ASPCA needs to do something about the inadequate conditions some fish are living in in pet stores. To "fish geeks" like myself, these are not just fish. They are a hobby, they have personality and spunk. Fish are like any other animal, and they deserve the same rights.
47. Child Discipline

Our pastor has been arrested along with members of our church for upholding the word of God. Proverbs 13:24, 24:13-14 specifically command Christians to discipline our children in ways that they will learn the differences between right and wrong. Because of the proposed government (worldly) ways of disciplining our children, we feel that our society has deteriorated. This is because our government has decided that we no longer need God in government!
48. Sex Offender Community Notification
While not altering the registration componant of Sex Offender Registration, the aim is to change the Community Notification to reflect reality, protect offenders and their families, while provding protection for society, and releaseing offender informaiton responsibly. This will be to facilitate responsible reporting, and release of information so offenders can re-integrate into society with approperiate supervision by law enforcement, treatment providers and corrections officials.
49. Help get more people off the waiting lists for organs
There are currently 424 people waiting for organs in British Columbia alone. Every year people die waiting for an organ. THe society right now does not accept direct donations and/or anonymous donations and I want to ask the governement to change that so long distance relatives/strangers can help patients get off the waiting lists and help them to continue healthier lives with their families.
50. Fight against rapes & sexual assaults
In 2001 I was raped and sexually assaulted by Junior, an alien resident. As an American, I truly hoped that the authority and organizations I have contacted would help me. Junior has on many occasions attempted to kill our fellow Americans and his goal is to exploit little girls, continue to rape other women, and to exploit the US' social services. I have gotten raped for protecting my fellow Americans and for defending the US government. Therefore, I'm requesting your signatures to help keep junior out of our society since his goal is to obtain his US citizenship so that he could expand his criminal acts. As Americans, we should remain indivisible and not be fearful of chasing rapists and possible killers out of our society. Your signatures will help make a difference. 53. Raise Direct Support Staff (MR/DD) Rates
Direct Support Staff who work with people with developmental disabilities do not recieve adequate compensation for the work they do. They are often asked to work long hours doing very demanding work that affects people's lives. They cannot make a living wage working at just one job. Most are single mothers trying to raise their family and they must take two or more jobs to make ends meet.
Most importantly, the work they do is very important for the people they work with and for society. By paying direct support staff minimum wage or slightly above they and their work is devalued. Caring for other human beings the hardest and most important work in our society. They should be paid accordingly and should recieve a living wage.
Many of us have gone through life blind and accepting our society's tradition of using animals for clothing, entertainment and research studies. Then we eventually learn that animals are treated so terribly in our country and the countries around us. A big contributer to the poor treatment of animals is within zoos and circuses. Please sign this petition if you are sick and tired of seeing these defensless animals die and live miserably outside of their natural habitat.

Victim's Harvest Bill of Human Rights ---- HR XXXX
The sole determined purpose of this humble petition is for The United States of America to finally ensure that death sentence criminals who have been convicted of capital crimes against mankind pay for their heinous and vicious crimes against our society by enacting a lock-tight comprehensive Congressional Federal law or amendment --- that is Supreme Court appeal proof --- that convicted death penalty criminals shall have to forfeit their bodies immediately after last appeal is exhausted with no death row waiting and become instant organ donors.
Basically, any criminal who has been convicted of a capital crime in or against the United States of America has to instantly forfeit his body organs as a federal punishment to atone for his crimes to society. The revised death sentence appeals process will now also be limited to two calendar years after conviction. This new law will supercede, overwrite and replace any state or federal law and will be applied no matter what may be the criminal's religion, faith, color, creed, belief's, sex, sexual orientation or whatever possible reason.
Any criminal that believes he needs his body parts for his or her next life will have still to suffer the consequences of the new law. The convicted death sentence criminal will be given ample notice by the passing of this new Federal Law or amendment that any capital death sentence offense now carries this new instant organ donor provision, therefore any religious, spiritual or personal concerns are deemed invalid and irrelevant due to the severity of the capital crime and the public notice.
Any financial gain or proceeds from distribution of the victim's organs, skin, bones, eyes, kidney's, heart, lungs or any conceivable use of his body shall go directly to the victim's family or families. The victim's family shall be the sole determiner of the financial rewards and have a limited say on who gets the body parts if needed by other victims of the crime or family members.
The harvest of the victim's organs should be done in the most absolute painless and humane way possible so as not to cause any cruel and unusual punishment, but not to lose any useable part of the anatomy.
A very small benefit --- totally useless in my opinion, but worth mentioning --- of this new VHBOHR, it may also serve as a possible deterrent for any future crimes, although this is not a reason for future passage or my respectful, humble request for your consideration or signature..
The convicted criminal or any anti-death penalty groups who feel this is somehow a possible violation of the new donor's human or civil rights have the option of making a further cash donation to the victim's families or offering a prayer or petition for the painless harvest of the convicted capital criminal. The opposition voices to the VHBOHR shall be drowned out by the anguished cries of the victims for justice and true punishment and shall never be heard or even considered.
The only single drawback is that this new law or amendment is that it will not apply to all current convicts living on death row at the present time.
With American society now rampant and constantly besieged by new child sex predator killers, perverted rapists/killers, murderers, cop killers, terrorists in custody here and in Guantanamo, and all types of capital crime death row felons, it has now become apparent that America has to seek proper justice, punishment, restitution and recompense for the crimes committed by these convicts for the victims of these atrocities.
It is now time for America's Victims to harvest the organs or the convicted criminals, so in death they can become repentant if possible, whether forced in the end to donate their organs or willfully donated. Hopefully some will leave this world feeling better that they have paid for their sins and crimes and given life to their fellow members of society.
I can assure you that most death row inmates believe in a life after death and by enacting this law, the new Victim's Harvest Bill of Human Right's Bill, the donor's will come to have a sense of peace and atonement and come to believe that their actions will maybe help them in some small way in their next life.

56. Save our organisation - Backward Society Education (BASE)
We are writing to inform you of the increasingly difficult situation in which Backward Society Education (BASE) is finding itself, caught between the maoist rebels and the government imposed state of emergency.
As you may have heard, last week maoist rebels attacked three of the organization's offices in Kailali District. Motorcycles, office furniture, files, and -- in one case an entire Area Office -- were torched.
The apparent reason for the attacks was that BASE ran a rural saving and loan program in cooperation with the local government. The rebels are against this kind of government program. However, the rebels have since then also targeted BASE's child programs.
There are indications that beneath the allegation the real reason may be that the maoists are displeased that BASE has advocated peaceful social change successfully over the past years. Many of the poor rural workers who might otherwise have joined the maoist movement, have stayed with BASE instead. This one could say has been an achievement for peace in a otherwise rapidly detoriorating situation.
It therefore comes as a complete surprise to read the Home Minister's comments in today's Kathmandu Post Wednesday April 3rd) that the government is considering taking away BASE's registration, in effect closing the organization. The government is accusing the organization of supporting the maoists.
It is alarming that the government should consider using the powers of the state of emergency to shut down one of the largest civil society organizations in Nepal. BASE has over 30,000 members and support from many more men and women from marginalised communities, such as the freed bonded laborers whom it helped liberate. Under the current political situation, these people have no legal way of assembling or protesting the government's action, should it decide to take any.
The organization's identity as one of the oldest and most established NGOs in Nepal working for human rights and non-formal education make the accusations of support for the maoists unbelievable at best. Given that the maoists attacked the organization offices last week only, the government accusations seem patently ludicruos. It seems clear that the government is acting with other motives. It is a very disturbing development for the country as a whole, if the government begins to abuse the extraordinary powers granted under the state of emergency to settle old scores and eliminate the free debate in civil society.
57. Anti-Globalisation: Anti-Progress
At this very moment across the globe, people are protesting against corporations prioritizing profits over people's welfare. They argue that corporations should serve people, and not the world economy. They also argue that we are living in a world system which has been re-fashioned by the New Right over the last twenty years. These imbeciles obviously didn't do history in their Uni. studies... the "world system" has always mirrored that of the animal kingdom: SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST.
Even as far back as the Ancient Roman & Greek era, society learnt that the weak get weaker, and the strong get stronger. The stronger the army, the easier the victory. The stronger the leaders, the stronger the empire. It was often the case that the weak needed to work REALLY hard, become strong, and then succeed. Today's society is EXACTLY the same... there is the easy option of "BLAME", or there is the alternative: "EFFORT". The difference is that the "Blamers" are the weak link in today's society, being the burden for those who put in the "Effort". It is not a matter of principle. It is not a matter of money. It is a matter of justifying their weak stance in society.
If [a majority of them] leave their sheltered Uni. lives, they will EXPERIENCE what life is all about. And this is what this is all about. For them to condemn an organization like McDonalds, who recruit young people and teach them VALUES at such an age, is preposterous! It is a simple case of "Tall Poopy Syndrome"... they cut individuals down who have made the effort to become successful, because they CAN'T BE BOTHERED MAKING AN EFFORT THEMSELVES. These morons expect us to listen to them when they have had NO LIFE EXPERIENCES... operating on theories rather than facts. Taking their advice is like taking medical advice from a car salesman. Don't allow the minority to rule our democracy... a true democracy takes EVERYONE'S issues into account.

58. SAVE THE VALLEY OF THE GIANTS
Greens Senator Bob Brown is leading a campaign to save the tallest flowering plants in the world in the 'Valley of the Giants' in Tasmania. The Trees in the Styx valley, just 2 hours from Hobart, are the second tallest trees on the planet just behind the Redwoods in California.
These trees are averaging 500 years of age. One of these Eucalyptus regnans, which means 'king of the eucalypts' measured 134 metres high. It is registered in the Guiness Book of Records as the world's tallest ever tree.
These magnificent forests are being logged for woodchips for the Japanese paper mills by the Howard Government and the Tasmanian State ALP Government. The Wilderness Society and the Greens in Tasmania are fighting back with the best weapon they know - public opinion. Each weekend, the Society hosts busloads of visitors to the Valley of the Giants.
Pictures of the splendour, as well as the slaughter, of these forests are being sent to scientists, politicians and environment groups around the world. The aim is to have the Howard Government and Labor Opposition drop their support for logging and, united, declare the Valley of the Giants a national park and World Heritage Area.
Please help to save this living breathing forest of the giants.
