1. Repeal Liquor Sale Regulations in British Columbia
"The intent of this petition is to have liquor sales laws in British Columbia amended SUCH THAT:
GENERAL:
1. Liquor sales regulations facilitate the rights of both citizens and businesses to exercise their freedom, rather than inhibit it.
2. An atmosphere of peace, prosperity, and cooperation is created and upheld to the highest standard.
3. Hours of legal sale should be expanded in order to allow citizens the greatest possible opportunity to enjoy their right to choose.
4. The issuance of liquor sales licenses should be expanded to include ANY legitimate retailer in the food category including grocers, convenience stores, and non-permanent vendors.
5. Public consumption of alcohol should be decriminalised, with an accompanying "stiffening" of punishments for public intoxication and disorderly conduct. This puts the onus of maintaining proper conduct onto the citizen rather than on Peace Officers, contributing to a sense of pride, personal responsibility, and cooperation.
2. MICHIGAN NO-FAULT - DO NOT THROW OUR VOTE AWAY
As a Auto Accident Survivor, the repealing of Michigan No-Fault would be harmful to our Children, Family, Friends and Neighbors.
Without Michigan No-Fault, I would not have made it. My family would have suffered even more than they have and are still due to my medical impairments.
The statement that repealing Michigan No-Fault (The nations' PREMIER Auto Insurance) would save us money is nonsensical at best. As a fairly accurate statement, I can say that due to an auto-accident there has been "over" 15 surgeries to just one limb of mine (truly do not know the exact number, but would have been an amputee long ago without proper insurance that was a paid for "INSURANCE POLICY". Without No-Fault, or with "Limited" PIP coverage, this would never had happened.
What is worse than my injuries? Read below!
Drivers / Consumers / Voters have already selected NOT TO REPEAL NO-FAULT, NOT ONCE, BUT TWICE!
Our Votes matter - let our politicians know this!
Any attempt to repeal Michigan No-Fault is not the consumers choice, this is the lobbied Politicians Choice - trying to STRIP US of our PREVIOUS VOTES - SHAME ON THEM ALL!
Consumers choice would be by adding legislation allowing drivers to "OPT OUT" of NO-FAULT as it stands, and select a Tort like coverage. That is consumers choice people. Taking OUR VOTE AWAY IS NOT OUR CHOICE!
Repealing does not give the consumer any choice, except less coverage when needed. It only gives the VERY PROFITABLE INSURANCE COMPANIES the right to NOT allow the insured to receive appropriate treatment in the event of an accident causing serious injury.
Now they want to take our prior vote's away? This is not a a very democratic process, WE THE PEOPLE OF MICHIGAN ALREADY VOTED BY MAJORITY TWO TIMES!
We urge all citizens to sign the petition, seeking our governor not to support a change without first allowing the citizens, the opportunity to RE-VOTE! We already voted twice! Allowing them to repeal it without our vote, is clearly saying our vote's don't not count. This is not what our Government stands for, but it is what special interest groups stand for!
There is only one logical reason they would try to take our vote away AFTER we voted - ONLY ONE REASON - Profitable Insurance Companies trying to make more profit, and at the cost and possibly life of the consumer. Shame on them all! OUR VOTE COUNTS! LET THEM KNOW KNOW BY SIGNING OUR PETITION!
Protect our previous votes! Do not allow our previous VOTES to be NEGATED!! Act Now, before it is too late, what is next, they REPEAL VOTING RIGHTS?
Sign this crucial petition now!
***Michigan Registered Voters Only Please***
3. Repeal the Climate Change Act
The Climate Change Act [2008] is a catastrophic policy blunder, because it commits Britain, uniquely in the world, to a legally binding long-term framework to cut carbon dioxide emissions by 80% by 2050. This amounts to £734 billion, the most costly law ever put through Parliament. These targets are totally unrealistic and unobtainable without shutting down the British economy.
Criticisms of the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change IPCC intensified when leaked emails from the University of East Anglia’s Climatic Research Unit showed that leading scientists manipulated data to “hide the decline” in temperatures and suppressed legitimate arguments in peer-reviewed journals.
The Climategate scandal has led to 43% of the British public to distrust climate science and to question the need for the Climate Change Act.
MPs stated that £200billion to £1trillion will be needed over the next couple of decades to move the UK to a low carbon dioxide economy.
The liabilities of the proposed Green Investment Bank would have to go on the national balance sheet, Treasury officials fear the UK would lose its triple AAA rating.
Green jobs growth is not sustainable, because for every 1 new green job created 3.7 jobs will be lost in the real economy and carbon dioxide taxes will cause “carbon leakage” - the export of British jobs to countries without carbon dioxide taxes.
Wind power, subsidies have cost £2billion. Wind farm research concludes they are not a fit and proper solution to: the perceived need to cut carbon emissions, the growing demand for energy security, and will have significant human, environmental and economic impacts.
Carbon dioxide taxes and green subsidies will increase the average energy bill from £1,215 to £2,500 per year. This regressive tax will increase the price of food, clothes and travel, which especially impacts on our rural communities.
The Times stated that 5.5 million households or 21% of the 26 million British households suffer fuel poverty - spending more than 10% of their monthly income on energy bills.
Last February, overnight temperatures fell to minus 10, and this winter temperatures fell in some parts of the UK to minus 23. Being cold in the home increases the risk of strokes and heart attacks.
There are now 20% more cold related deaths in winter. Resulting in an average of 30,000 excess winter deaths across the UK. That is around 250 excess deaths per day.
Britain’s Coalition Government, in its Annual Energy Statement for 2010 concedes that by the year 2020, nearly one-third of the average domestic electricity bill will consist of green energy charges imposed by this law.
The European Emissions Trading Scheme is riven with fraud. Interpol has concluded that carbon dioxide trading scams cost governments €5billion in lost tax revenue and this loss is added to our energy bills.

4. Repeal the Children's Television Act of 1990
We all know how important it is for children to be educated and informed, but it's causing more damage and harm than it's solving.
I've done some online research and came across a page on http://www.cato.org/pubs/handbook/hb105-20.html in which paragraph 4 of Chapter 20 on the Cato Handbook for Congress: Broadcasting is calling for the repeal of the Children's Television Act of 1990, but there's a lot more to the story than just that page.
5. Repeal the Breed Ban in Denmark
Over 400.000 dogs are now in danger in Denmark. The Danish Government has passed a breed ban law, 13 breeds are now forbidden in Denmark, and also any mix of these breeds.
The Government has introduced reverse burden of proof, so the owners of Dogs that look like these breeds, now have to proof that they are not, which as we all know, can not be done with DNA. If you can't lift the burden of proof - the dog will be euthanized
6. Repeal the Discharge of Victor Lecha
This petition was written with gloom and despair about the recent discharge of Victor Lecha. On Thursday, June Twenty-Fifth, Two Thousand and Nine, Sacred Heart's Youth Minister, Victor Lecha was dismissed from his occupation at Sacred Heart.
The youth group at Sacred Heart have been changed by Victor through his words of wisdom and logic. As a church, we stick together, this is why we disagree with the discharge of Victor Lecha.
7. Connecticut State Sovereignty Resolution
The Framers of the U.S. Constitution limited the powers of the federal government to an enumerated list. Any and all powers not on that list were reserved to the States and it's people. That is the language of the 10th Amendment of the Bill of Rights. Especially since the 1930s, the federal government has gone far beyond the Constitutional limits imposed by the Framers under the slimmest of pretexts facilitated by a compromised U.S. Supreme Court.
Consequently, every citizen in this country has seen their rights and liberties become more constrained, more hemmed in, weaker and more insignificant. To get our country back, we must fight back by invoking what the judiciary and legislature has ignored all this time. The first battle is the 10th Amendment. It means something, and the federal government must adhere to it. But the only way the federal government follow the U.S. Constitution is if we stand together and take decisive action.
So much has been taken by the federal government, that the battle has now become America versus the federal government. If there is any "giving back" to do, it is the federal government giving the constitutional rights back to each and every American citizen.
This will only happen by grass-roots efforts such as this petition for the State of Connecticut. State legislatures around the country are doing it themselves, but the only form of resolution which will move the federal government is where We The People make it abundantly clear we both support and are determined to engage in rolling back the federal government. To date, legislators on their own have failed to truly reduce the federal government. So, it should be clear that the additional force of grass-roots efforts are needed to complete the task.
To this end, be clear: This petition is about RE-ALIGNING the federal government with the U.S. Constitution. It is NOT, I repeat NOT about secession. This petition is about the PRECISE OPPOSITE of secession.
This petition IS about two concepts to stop federal overreaching: NULLIFICATION and REPEAL. The Connecticut resolution will lay down specific standards for nullification of unconstitutional federal laws and regulations to be carried out by our state legislature. They will point to the U.S. Constitution and make clear that the Necessary and Proper clause and interpretations of interstate commerce have been profoundly abused by the federal government in flagrant violation of the 10th Amendment. Equally important is the language of the 9th Amendment, stated in the petition.
This petition is the first step to electing federal legislators who "get it" and will repeal the unconstitutional federal laws; and to appointing judges who will reverse the criminal and wrong-headed "legal doctrines" used to rationalize federal usurpation of citizen's rights.
So, you are being asked to help recover your liberties and freedoms from an insatiable federal government. Please sign the petition. so we can work together to restore liberty.
8. Repeal the Connecticut Business Entity Tax
The business entity tax was created in 2002 by State Legislators in order to fill the deficit gap in the state’s budget.
It is applied to over 118,000 businesses in Connecticut including Limited Liability Corporations, Limited Liability Partnerships, Limited Partnerships and S Corporations.
These companies must pay the $250 tax annually regardless of whether they earn a profit or even operate during the year.
This tax is a drain on the State’s economy and sends a negative message to small business owners and entrepreneurs. According to Secretary Bysiewicz in her news release dated January 23, 2008, small business owners are responsible for 80% of Connecticut’s new jobs and are instrumental in the growth of the state’s economy. This tax is a burden on those same small business owners who are struggling to grow their businesses and make ends meet. The $250 these businesses pay each year could pay an electric bill for a month, cover advertising costs, or be invested in a new product.
It is time to repeal the business entity tax in Connecticut. The state had a budget surplus last year and can no longer justify this additional tax on small business owners.
Tell your State legislators you want them to support Senate Bill 400, or any other measure that will eliminate the business entity tax.

In 1994, the world bears witness to the tragic sexual murder of seven year old Megan Kanka at the hands of a neighbor who was a convicted sex offender.
The law that was named after her bore good intentions, but sadly, the original intent of Megan's law is being abused by forcing not only the most dangerous sex offenders, but anyone convicted of a "crime" related to sex to register as a sex offender, where information about their lives can be made public, thus making employment, housing and many other rights we all take for granted difficult, if not impossible in many cases for the "offender" in question.
Everyone from the adult who was lied to by an adolescent sex partner concerning her age, to the person whose great crime was streaking or urinating in a public park, ALL are considered sex offenders and subject to the same registration laws that pedophiles and rapists are.
Again, this was never the intent of the law and it must be stopped! Don't think that this couldn't happen to you or someone you love.
10. RE-ELECT BLOOMBERG FOR FOR MAYOR OF NEW YORK BY REMOVING HIS TERM LIMITS
Update: Feb 22, 2009
This petition is several years old. I started it in 2007 when I was speaking to people about trying to generate support to get bloomberg to run for a 3rd term. I was discouraged time and again by people telling me I was crazy and that, if anything, bloomberg would be making a run at the presidency. Turns out, I was a bit too early. I am ecstatic that bloomberg has decided he is interested in being our mayor.
I am interested in helping the bloomberg campaign, possibly obtaining a job helping the upcoming campaign. I would be happy to contribute this site to the official bloomberg campaign group. Otherwise, if they are not interested in this web address. I am open to other possiblities in working with , or possibly selling the domain to someone who is interested in owning and/or developing the site.
I am a life long new yorker, Columbia Law School graduate, and a former bankruptcy lawyer with Cadwalader Wickersham and Taft. I currently live in williamsburg, but I have lived in Canarsie, Staten Island, and at various locations over the west side of Manhattan. I have also lived in upstate New York in Binghamton , where I first attended College.

BELOW IS THE ORIGINAL PETITION TEXT.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
BLOOMBERG IS AN EXCELLENT MAYOR. New York City term limits prohibit him from running for a third or fourth term. As a result, we will be losing our greatest mayor in decades. New Yorkers should unite in a public referendum ballot initiative to repeal MAYORAL (and not city council member) term limits only for the next 2 terms so that Bloomberg can run for mayor 2 more times.
He is a very popular mayor and if he runs, he will likely get re-elected. The repeal will be only for the next two terms and subsequently will expire and term limits will go back into effect.
This petition is looking for support to bolster a hatchling campaign to gather signatures and petition the NYC clerk to put this issue on the ballot.
Your address is required because if this online petition is successful (30,000 signatures) we hope to mail you an official signature request form with a return address envelope postage paid which will be sent to the city clerk for verification.
11. Repeal the Springfield Bar Ban Ordinance
In 2005, less than one percent of DWI's were given to a minor who had been drinking in a bar or nightclub. Not allowing 18-20-year-olds admittance into an establishment where liquor is responsible for sixty percent of the revenue will not hinder underage drinking.
Alternate locations will be sought and found in the form of private parties where peer pressure and the lack of monitoring will cause individuals to indulge themselves who would not have otherwise if they had been in an establishment.
12. Repeal New York state Helmet Laws
TO REPEAL NEW YORK STATE HELMET LAWS.
13. Tobacco Tax Increase, Montana
Receienty a higher, Extreamly Higher Tax was imposed in Tobacco products in Montana. As well, Smokers are being discriminated against by laws prohibiting smoking in all public buildgings. This will eventually affect the Bars and Casinos as well.
This petition is to repeal the part of the law prohibiting smoking in bars & casinos, and to repeal the increased tobacco tax.
14. Repeal the honour given to Sir Shridat Ramphal
We the undersigned are petitioning the Indian Government to repeal the awarding of the Indira Gandhi prize to Shridath Ramphal on Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, India Day Celebrations, January 9-11th, 2003.
We consider Mr. Ramphal to be unworthy of this prize because of the well-documented atrocities that he committed as a member of Burnham's corrupt regime. Since it was people of Indian origin who mainly suffered as a result, India should not be conferring such an honour.
We believe that by honouring such a man, India is dishounoring not only the award processes but the name of the Honourable Indira Gandhi herself.
We respectfully submit this petition.
We the people petition the US Government for a REDRESS OF GRIEVANCES over the United States Senate, Congrees, and all other officials and spokesman for the US Governent for their efforts to lead the people of the United States into a Democracy by referring to the US as a Democracy when in fact the US is supposed to be a Constitutional Democracy.
This petition is to promote the repeal of the 17TH ARTICLE OF AMENDMENT TO THE CONSTITUTION. This amendment effectively turned our constitutional Republic into a legislative democracy and denies the states their right to appoint senators as written in the Constitution.
16. Repeal Voluntary Student Unionism in Victoria
Last year students defeated National VSU. Now it's time to win in Victoria. Victorian VSU was introduced by the Kennett Government in 1994.
Since 1994 VSU in Victoria has seen the destruction of aspects of student autonomy, student representation, student media, clubs and societies and other areas of student organisation activity.
Vice Chancellors now police how student organisations can spend their money. Yet every student in Victoria continues to pay a compulsory non-academic fee.
Last year the ALP formed government in Victoria with a policy to repeal Victorian VSU. Let's keep up the pressure for a return to the pre 1994 position.
