1. Allow Professional Videography on Public Lands
Small, independent film-makers are forced to pay the same fees as large production studios to film commercially on public lands.
Still Photographers are exempted from the fees, but with advancements in technology (Especially DSLR's), videographers and film makers are now using similar or identical equipment with no more impact than a still photographer. The fee is now necessitated at the flip of a switch.
2. Turn a Dream Capture into Reality Shoot
I would love to be given the opportunity to capture David Campbell raw. No lights, no make up, no wardrobe, just David being himself, and capturing his differing personalities.
I have always admired David’s work and personality and a about 15 months ago I had this overwhelmingly strong desire to capture someone I really admire being themselves. I want to achieve this to prove that dreams do come true. That it if you want something badly enough you CAN make it happen. Almost 16 months on and the desire is just a strong, if not stronger.
Along the way I have been photo blogging ideas to support my idea. http://allnaturalallrawalldavidcampbell.wordpress.com/
I had emailed Luckiest Productions early last and was lucky enough to be able to speak with David himself , last August briefly about my ambition. He did say to get back in contact early the new year for a possible May/June project date. This is what is really driving me.
I have had no response to two prior emails, so thought an online petition might a way of getting notice and an answer/response either way.
David will be in Adelaide from 10 June - 25 June for Adelaide Cabaret Festival, but not touring here any time in the near futures, probably into the studio to record, and then back off to NY next year. I feel I've really only got the above dates to try and grab the opportunity to capture him raw and natural (no stage make up, costumes, big bands or fancy suits) just everyday David, not unlike his wife, Lisa would see him.
3. Bring back Polaroid instant film
A new trend is coming back involving vintage cameras and the company would make more profit if they started to sell instant film again.
The fashion industry also uses Polaroid instant film when booking models. Instant film would also be popular for analog photography.
The Arts Council has axed Side Gallery as a revenue client in its ‘National Portfolio’. The reasons for the decision are:
1. The gallery is part of a collective and therefore doesn’t have a board;
2. The gallery needs Arts Council funding and therefore isn’t sustainable;
3. There are too many galleries dedicated to humanist documentary photography in Side’s geographical location.
This flies in the face of the fact that the collective has continued to deliver what is unquestionably the strongest cultural legacy created in the North East over the past 40 years.
Unlike many Arts organisations, its egalitarian collective governance has meant Side Gallery has never approached the Arts Council or Northern Arts for a bail-out. It is the only gallery in the country dedicated to documentary photography.
5. Kurnai College (Churchill Campus) Photography Class
A number of students have expressed that they would be interested in a photography class at Kurnai College - Churchill Campus.
Currently the school has art classes in Photoshop, as well as traditional forms of Art. As one student said on a social networking site, "There are many people in the world that not only have photography as an interest but also as a career.".
6. Bring MCM Expo's Cosplay Roadshow to Norwich/Norfolk/East Anglia
There are various anime/manga, videogame, cosplay and media conventions around the country, but nothing substantial in East Anglia.
This petition is to gather support for such an event happening in this region, and also in support of the MCM Expo Group and its events.
The MCM Expo group is willing to bring their recently announced Cosplay Roadshow to this region if enough interest is generated.
This petition also serves as information about the fan base level in the region for other events to hopefully happen as well.

7. STOP False and Contrived Information Against Abu-Jamal
I saw a petition on this Web Site that was against naming a New York Street after presumed cop killer Mr. Mumia Abu-Jamal. He's been in jail wrongly convicted for too many years. He should have a street named after him for being slandered with Lies for So Long.
Several years ago I unexpectedly came across my 1st read of Mumia Abu-Jamal, on a Web Site. I didn't judge whether this was True or False. The second time I read about him was on my cell phone on a Blog and it mentioned a Mr. M. Shiffman. Now I have found a Blog about Mr. Michael Schiffman, who is an author in Germany and he wrote a book about Mr. Abu-Jamal and the contrived "evidence" that was made up about him. I just found Mr. Bennett's Blog talking to the author:
http://www.abu-jamal-news.com/article?name=German+Book+Reveals+New+Evidence
If you Really are concerned about Justice for Mumia Abu-Jamal you'll see that the cops harassed and threatened witnesses, so that they would lie under oath! It was a staged trial and Not a Real Deserved trial:
http://orgs.sa.ucsb.edu/asian/mumia.html
Mr. Abu-Jamal did get a street named after him after all. At the very least Why is he still in jail after a Witness as late as last Oct./08, came forward and admitted that she was harassed, so that she would be forced to lie at his trial! So he didn't kill that cop. Someone at the crime scene, over heard a cop saying the name of the person who really killed the cop. The cops also re-arranged the crime scene too!
I find it unconscionable that Mr. Abu-Jamal is still locked up! A Lot of people internationally know he's innocent because of the facts. I hope he is released.
The City of Kitchener targets Kiwanis Park to be declared "surplus land" and sold for development. Jeff Willmer, Interim Director of Planning was quoted in The Record, March 14, 2009 "The development of the sites would create jobs and generate tax revenue." Willmer goes on to say "These pieces of land really are not needed to meet a need, there is no gap in the supply of park land." Pieces of land?
This 'piece of land' is not for sale! This park, this natural haven is for treasuring, for walking, for swimming, for picknicking, for canoeing, for reading, for skiing, for kite flying, for skating, for jogging, for cycling, for birdwatching, for meditating, for playing. for fishing, for me, for you, for everyone but never, ever for sale.
Kiwanis Park is in desperate need of protection now.
Fortunately, Kiwanis Park has a friend in Councillor John Gazzola. Quoted in the same article he states "I am opposed to selling any park land. It makes no sense. You've got to look down the road 100 years from now. Once that park land is gone you are never going to get it back."
Fortunately, Kiwanis Park has a lot of friends, but the Park can't speak for itself. It needs your voice. We have created this petition as a tool to help us raise a clear and strong voice that tells the City of Kitchener that Kiwanis Park is "NOT FOR SALE!"
Please add strength to our petition and assist us to strategize by adding a comment with your signature. Thank you Friend of Kiwanis Park.

Polaroid film was a technological breakthrough in the world of photography. In late 2008, Polaroid Co. plans to entirely discontinue their line of remaining polaroid films (Type 600 and Spectra are among the popular used labels).
This is a classic, time-and-tried art form. Don't let them stop manufacturing it!
Update May 2012: Since Polaroid Co filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, its technology has resurfaced. Since March 2010, instant film materials for Vintage Polaroid cameras have again become available on the market, developed and manufactured by a group called The Impossible Project, at the former Polaroid production plant in Enschede, The Netherlands.
