H.R. 503 is the bill that's currently sitting on the floor of the US House of Representatives. Its predecessor, H.R. 6598, was not passed by the last Congress.

H.R. 503 will finally make it ilegal to transport all equines (horses, burros, donkeys) across US borders for the purpose of slaughter.

Every day that this bill is not signed, each day it is not law--horses are dying a painful, cruel, vicious, violent death. Greed is the root of this cruelty--soul-wrenching pain is the end result.

The ONLY ones who benefit from the slaughter of horses are the killer-buyers; New Holland and Texas auction houses--and the Ag lobbyists, who make obscene amounts of money working to convince Congresspeople that ending horse slaughter will eventually topple American agriculture.

That's a crock--a lie--a slippery slope of lies. Every check written to an Ag lobbyist is written in the blood of a dead horse.

Bankruptcy laws have been in place for decades. Why is the United States not letting these businesses go into bankruptcy and joining in as a creditor with cash to keep them operating until they can correct this mess.

The issue is that we are losing trees at a very fast pace. Without trees we can expect more runoffs of topsoil, the temperature of the earth to change, extinction of animals that rely on tree’s to live, and irregularities in the balance of carbon dioxide and oxygen.

This petition is against President Barrack H. Obama's promise to lift the ban on Embryonic Stem Cell Research (hESCR.) Note: hESCR is NOT illegal. But it does, however, have restrictions that prevent clinics to use and destroy large amounts of embryos for the benefit of medical science.

But now, Obama wants to lift these restrictions so that we can find new cures for diseases. However, while it may seem as a great success, it's killing thousands of embryos within the first couple of days of conception.

The Democratic National Committee has failed to exercise due diligence with respect to Barack Obama's constitutional qualifications to be elected and serve as President of The United States, and for his inclusion on the ballots across the United States as a candidate for President of the United States.

Essentially, the argument is this:

Senator Obama could put this whole issue to rest by providing an official "vault copy" birth certificate.
Senator Obama has chosen not to do so.
The defendants (other than Obama) have a responsibility to protect the integrity of the electoral system by properly vetting the qualifications of candidates, which they have failed to perform.

Americans, and our system of government are damaged by this failure.
Senator Obama, who has collected $425,000,000 in campaign contributions, has perpetrated a fraud.

Obama is a representative of the Democratic People. However, Obama must meet the Qualifications specified for the United States Office of the President, which he must be a “natural born” citizen. Additionally, Obama must be at least a “naturalized” citizen to hold his Office of U.S. Senator for Illinois. Unfortunately, Obama is not a “natural born” citizen, nor is he a “naturalized” citizen. Just to name one of the problems, Obama lost his U.S. citizenship when his mother married an Indonesian citizen, Lolo Soetoro who legally “acknowledged” Obama as his son in Indonesia and/or “adopted” Obama, which caused Obama to become a “natural” Indonesian citizen. Stanley Ann Dunham Soetoro relocated herself and Obama to Indonesia wherein Obama’s mother naturalized in Indonesia. This is proven by Obama’s school record with the student’s name as “Barry Soetoro”, Father’s name: Lolo Soetoro, M.A., and Citizenship: Indonesia.

Since many customers are not able to enter the BP Gas station, on E Van Fleet Drive, (Bartow), our company is loosing a lot of business.

The reason for this business loss is that there is no entrance for drivers traveling from SR 60 West through E Van Fleet Drive, to enter the convenient store/gas station. THE PROBLEM:

The Commission on Presidential Debates, created and run exclusively by the Democrats and Republicans, has sole control over who can participate in the regular televised presidential debates. The Commission’s rules prohibit any serious candidates from participating in any debates even if they have collected the hundreds of thousands of signatures necessary to get onto all state ballots and have millions of supporters among voters.

Participation is allowed only for candidates polling at or above 15% nationally. This threshold is completely unreasonable for anyone who does not have millions and millions of dollars to buy media exposure. The commission’s rules are designed only to give the two parties exclusive control for setting the national agenda.

Candidates who can not participate in televised debates have no chance to rise in national rankings. At the same time, the Democrats and Republicans simply claim that there are no “serious” candidates out there - and so the cycle continues! Consequently, the debate rules effectively stifle any real discussion of the issues not covered by the two parties.


HOW YOU CAN TAKE A STAND

In early September, 2008, Ron Paul, a Republican congressman and former presidential candidate from Texas convened a conference at the National Press Club that brought together an impressive group of third party candidates from across the political spectrum: Chuck Baldwin, Cynthia McKinney, Ralph Nader and Bob Barr (Barr did not attend the conference but supports the joint effort). The candidates have different platforms, but all agree on several key issues, including, for example, ending the Iraq War, opposing the Patriot Act and opening up the presidential debates!

Convinced that Ralph Nader could “spoil” the election for the Democrats? Dear friends,

As many of you know, the media coverage of the South Ossetian War was very biased and unbalanced. Due to this many people in the West believe things like “Russian aggression”, “Russian looting”, “Russian forces approaching Tbilisi” and many more things that are simply untrue.

Unfortunately, many people who advice US politicians get their news from the same sources as “average people”. This leads to a cycle in which the elites tell the news what to report, then their advisors watch these reports, and reaffirm the information that was no where near accurate in the first place. With our limited resources, there are very few ways to combat this. However, one way to attempt to right this injustice is to organize a letter writing campaign to both US Congress and Senator Obama’s campaign.

In the past I interned in the US Congress and know how the system works. Letters are read by advisors (Legislative Assistants), who then assign a generic pre-written letter if the member of Congress has a position on the topic, or an “I will keep my eye on the situation that matters to you” if the member does not have a position.
However, if a large number of letters concerning the same topic are received, the letters are treated differently; the member is made aware of the letter campaign, and takes it into account while determining his stand on the issue at hand.

So I believe that one of the best ways to help members of Congress and the Obama campaign better understand the issue, and help bring both sides of the story to the public debate is to organize a letter writing campaign to Democratic members of Congress and Obama (you don’t have to be a Democrat or support Obama – the point is not to help him win, but to help bring the Ossetian side of the story to the public debate in the United States)

Regarding both illegal and legal immigration, Barack Obama and John McCain support the Third World invasion of the United States, and thus are guilty of treason.

Both Barack Obama and John McCain support unwise free trade agreements, which are undermining our economy. (Conservatives historically have opposed ideological free trade, but many in the GOP have been "neoconned" on this issue.)

At the time of writing, Barack Obama is all but certain to become the US Democratic Party's nominee for the 2008 Presidential race. Attention is turning to who is most suitable to be his running mate. Several possible candidates have been suggested.

A name that has repeatedly emerged is Kathleen Sebelius. Mrs Sebelius is the Governor of Kansas, and has attained remarkable popularity over her gubernatorial tenure - despite Kansas being a heavily Republican state.

She has been rated among the US's top Governors, and should she be selected as the running mate for Mr Obama, it would give credence to the idea of building a new coalition of "red states" and "blue states" in 2008.

We strongly urge that Senator Barack Obama select Senator Jim Webb as his Vice Presidential running mate. If Obama is indeed a proponent of “Change,” then he would not select Senator Hillary Clinton as his Vice Presidential running mate. “The President of the United States takes pleasure in presenting the Navy Cross to James H. Webb, Jr. (106180), First Lieutenant, U.S. Marine Corps, for extraordinary heroism while serving as a Platoon Commander with Company D, First Battalion, Fifth Marines, FIRST Marine Division (Reinforced), Fleet Marine Force, in connection with combat operations against the enemy in the Republic of Vietnam. On 10 July 1969, while participating in a company-sized search and destroy operation deep in hostile territory, First Lieutenant Webb's platoon discovered a well-camouflaged bunker complex which appeared to be unoccupied. Deploying his men into defensive positions, First Lieutenant Webb was advancing to the first bunker when three enemy soldiers armed with hand grenades jumped out. Reacting instantly, he grabbed the closest man and, brandishing his .45 caliber pistol at the others, apprehended all three of the soldiers. Accompanied by one of his men, he then approached the second bunker and called for the enemy to surrender. When the hostile soldiers failed to answer him and threw a grenade which detonated dangerously close to him, First Lieutenant Webb detonated a claymore mine in the bunker aperture, accounting for two enemy casualties and disclosing the entrance to a tunnel. Despite the smoke and debris from the explosion and the possibility of enemy soldiers hiding in the tunnel, he then conducted a thorough search which yielded several items of equipment and numerous documents containing valuable intelligence data. Continuing the assault, he approached a third bunker and was preparing to fire into it when the enemy threw another grenade. Observing the grenade land dangerously close to his companion, First Lieutenant Webb simultaneously fired his weapon at the enemy, pushed the Marine away from the grenade, and shielded him from the explosion with his own body. Although sustaining painful fragmentation wounds from the explosion, he managed to throw a grenade into the aperture and completely destroy the remaining bunker. By his courage, aggressive leadership, and selfless devotion to duty, First Lieutenant Webb upheld the highest traditions of the Marine Corps and of the United States Naval Service.”

Now that Barack Obama is the presumptive Democratic Party nominee for President, it is time for attention to turn to the selection of his running mate.

We propose that Senator Jim Webb of Virginia is the most compelling candidate the party can consider.

The Democratic Primary Race has continued for way to long. Both Sen. Clinton and Sen. Obama are dragging out the race and causing the Democratic Party to fracture from the inside out.

Polls are showing more and more Democrats becoming discontent with the person they do not support. McCain is rallying support from around the country and rapidly gaining ground on both Democratic candidates.

We need to end this race now.

Gore and Carter are Considering Asking Hillary to Step Aside preventing Millions of Voices from being Heard. Carter who touts Democracy around the world wants to strong arm Hillary Clinton into quitting the race.

Former VP Gore who has raised $300 Million dollars to promote Global Warming Awareness wants to risk all this to stop Americans from Voting? The same man who saw the Presidency stolen from him by disenfranchising thousands of Floridians!

Much has been said by candidates in the Democratic Party Primary of utilizing Superdelegates and / or the seating of the Michigan and Florida delegates to provide a candidate with the required delegate count for election as the Democratic Presidential candidate.

This has been said while acknowledging that the use of such Superdelegates could go against the pledged delegate count, and thus the will of the Democratic Party Primary voters.

The seating of the Florida and Michigan delegates has also been proposed in clear opposition to the solution agreed upon by the DNC, and all candidates, to address the refusal of those two states to not move their Democratic Primaries earlier in the calendar year. This has been proposed by a Democratic candidate, despite the fact that, prior to the Primary, that candidate and staff members had previously agreed to the DNC decision to not seat those delegations.

The net effect of either of the above could serve to nominate a candidate in a way that would obviate the will of the Democratic Primary voters.

This petition is a way to serve notice to those in power in the Democratic Party and the candidates participating in this Presidential Primary that such tactics are viewed by the signers of this petition as a fatal breach of the trust of the members of the Democratic Party.

In particular, such a breach of trust is viewed as so serious that the signers of this petition would actively work to insure that such a candidate is not elected to the highest office in the land.

The most essential ingredient of democracy is in the expression of the will of the people by their vote. A presidential candidate that would subvert that will for their own gain, no matter what the claimed ideal, is not deserving of that office.

Dear Friends of a Free Media,

Well, if not free, at least allowing all opinions to be heard in a presidential race.

The impetus for this movement was the exclusion of candidates from the recent MSNBC debate in Nevada. MSNBC, owned by GE, used its legal muscle to overturn a judge's order to INCLUDE all the candidates. What's pathetic is that there even was an order in the first place.

The AIR WAVES, for those who remember the distant past, are supposed to be owned by the public. The corporations who run the television networks have definitely FORGOTTEN that and allege that as "private entities" they have the right to limit the voices and viewpoints you hear on these air waves.

Progressive Democrats of Los Angeles disagrees and unanimously passed this resolution which requests our Democratic National Party to REQUIRE the inclusion of all candidates in nationally televised debates. However, this issue transcends the present presidential campaign and needs to be in place for ALL FUTURE DEBATES. Because we are a Democratic club, we are directing this to our own party. It had been noted that this should apply to the Republican party also, but that is not included in this resolution, and it was observed that the blatant exclusions have not occurred with their candidates this election cycle.

Ron Paul had two precincts, Sutton and Greenville, that BOTH claimed to receive ZERO votes for him in the recent New Hampshire primary.

In the same ballot Rudy Giuliani received many more votes than would be expected for a candidate with no momentum from previous primaries and very low poll numbers in a state where he did not see fit to even campaign.

Barack Obama received significantly less votes than was predicted in the vast majority of polls whilst Hillary Clinton received significantly more votes than were predicted.

This coupled with the statistical analyses demonstrating that BOTH candidates potentially lost HUGE numbers of votes when comparing hand counts to machine counts (91% of the vote in New Hampshire was machine counted) should, in the interests of ensuring that a true representation of the will of the people is reflected in the results, be enough to drive any Paul or Obama supporter to sign this petition, regardless of party or candidate affiliation.

Given that both men are running for the office of President of the United States, an office that exists solely of the people, for the people and by the people, one assumes that they will both accept this request and represent the will of the people to demand this recount should enough signatures be accumulated.
