1. HELP AN INNOCENT MAN GET HIS EMPLOYMENT INSURANCE THAT HE PAID INTO
JEAN-GUY GOES IN FRONT OF THE EMPLOYMENT INSURANCE BOARD FIGHTING FOR HIS EMPLOYMENT INSURANCE BENEFITS ON THRUSDAY APRIL 25TH... HE HAS BEEN REFUSED....
HE PAID INTO THESE BENEFITS BEFORE HE WENT TO JAIL FOR A CRIME HE DID NOT COMMIT SO I NEED PEOPLE TO SIGN THIS NEW PETITION STATING THEY THINK HE SHOULD HAVE THEM SINCE HE HAS LOOKED FOR WORK 28+ PLACES SINCE HE WAS RELEASED& BECAUSE HE DID JAIL FOR A CRIME HE DID NOT COMMIT AND IT IS CURRENTLY GOING TO BE APPEALED IN JUNE FROM WHAT THE APPEAL LAWYER IS SAYING.
ALSO HE HAS TRIED TO GO BACK TO HIS EMPLOYER BUT THEY ARE SAYING NO WORK BUT THEY ARE ALSO HIRING PEOPLE....
1 in 10 Canadians in the workforce who are employed are working in what would be considered temporary job.
Between 1989 and 1994, the number of Canadians employed on a temporary basis increased by 21 per cent, from 799,000 to 970,000 workers.
Seventy-five per cent of temporary jobs last less than six months and as a result, many temporary workers are excluded from various legal protections and employee benefits.
Temporary agents are not paid for days away from the job due to sickness, statutory holidays, bereavement or vacation leave, nor are they entitled to severance pay upon termination of their employment.
Employers are not required to pay unemployment insurance premiums or Canada/Quebec Pension Plan premiums on behalf of these workers.
Temporary employment is an important issue with substantial policy implications. Too many workers today are unable to string together enough temporary jobs in a year to provide them with an adequate income or security. Moving from one contract to the next, many individuals are left with only part-time work and irregular hours, and rarely with any of the non-wage benefits like pensions or unemployment insurance.
Clearly the emergence of these new forms of employment has implications for a wide range of policies and programs.
In short, temporary employment in some of its current forms is eroding the economic security of Canadian families.
3. Show The Real Unemployment Numbers
Let's finally get the real numbers out there. The administration wants to put out all these fake numbers and say the unemployment rate drops, but fail to mention all the people who ran out of benefits or no longer are looking for work because they can not find any.
1500 job cuts to be made by tata steel, despite huge billions of profits in the EU & conglomerates too.
Colette Webb has been managing the Transnational Resources Centre for 4 years. In the last months the board of a review of the TRC, which involved representation from the departments of French, German and Italian, have decided not to renew Colette's contract in favour of an IT technician on a lower salary, as it is felt that this will enhance the technology within the resource. Colette will be forced to leave her job at the end of this term.
This outrageously overlooks both the hard work that Colette has put into running the TRC over the last years as well as the massive popularity of the resource, as the feedback forms within the unit demonstrate. Instead the move demonstrates the distance between the staff and the reality of the resource, its use, and its users, where and for whom Colette’s amicable nature and well informed advice are entirely responsible for its success. The decision moreover symbolizes a concentration on cost over value which is typical of Warwick PLC or Warwick University Ltd., as E. P. Thompson viewed it (Penguin, 1970), not to mention the current government and its attitude towards education as business.
We, the past and present users of the Transnational Resources Centre, call for Colette’s contract to be renewed, and for the University and the departments to understand the simple facts: the TRC needs someone with the attitude and experience of Colette Webb if it wishes to remain successful and used, but it also needs to be supported, not ignored, by the three languages departments as was originally intended by the founders of the resource. Management skills are required to make sensible use of the spaces of the TRC, and linguistic to keep the DVDs and the database organized as well as communicate sufficiently with the departments. A new staff member with technological in addition to managerial and linguistic abilities, willing to work on a low pay scale, will be difficult to find.
We also ask that the departments and Faculty of Arts recognize that technological problems at the TRC are twofold: simple computer issues, which mimic a university-wide IT services incompetence, and audio-visual, which require specialist training. In light of the above, we ask that the departments and the Faculty reconsider a more valuable and all-around beneficial division of labour which will keep Colette at the TRC but also make space for audio-visual expertise, for instance on a part-time contract. Otherwise it is perhaps time for the Faculty/departments to face up to the fact that they must eventually acknowledge: technology requires money, not man power, to remain updated and functional. If the board had more fairly and comprehensively reviewed the TRC this year, they would already be aware of this.
6. Send long term unemployed to rebuild disaster affected areas
In the wake of the recent natural disasters around Australia, we have been inspired to “do something” about it. After researching the statistics on Centrelink’s website about the long term unemployed jobseekers received benefits, we have decided to use these figures as a basis for calculating what can be done.
As at December 2010 there were 155479 long term unemployed jobseekers in receipt of government benefits most of which are males residing in NSW followed closely by VIC. It’s a simplistic view to write these people off as “lazy”, “dole bludgers”, “unproductive citizens”. Perhaps in some cases this is true but for many it’s more complex than that, some have feelings of low self esteem and believe they have nothing to contribute.
Much compassion is needed for these people, most of us have experienced the lousy feelings of worthlessness stemming from periods of unemployment; it’s not something most of us would choose but after spending some time in that trapped feeling it can be hard to know how to break out. We at Hands and Hearts community assist program believe, like most Australians that everybody deserves a fair go which is why we have decided to launch this project to make use of the “spare hands” in the country and put them to work in areas of community that need rebuilding and other assistance, particularly government declared disaster zones. This project will be a challenge, particularly logistically which is why we will be looking into the possibilities of transport and accommodation sponsorship.
7. Outlaw Outsourcing (Offshoring)
Please sign this petition to stop our Jobs being OUTSOURCED. These are vital help stop poverty and keep our jobs in our own community.
You will be surprised that major Companies are using our private information and giving it to other countries! I.e.: India, Philippines etc. Some even are suppose to be regulated by the CRTC. How can CRTC regulate overseas?
ME:
In many pqs in the game (especially GSPQ and bosses), i have disconnected many times and my computer says "there was an error with hackshield." I cant remember exactly at this very moment, but it was along the lines of that.
META4ICAL:
This DC issue is getting very problematic for higher levels with Windows 7 and Vista. I claim no expert knowledge in programming or patching but ever since HackShield was implemented, users with Win7/Vista have been having more and more issues with DCing at party boss runs. People have hence found methods to not DC - ie alt-tabbing, changing resolution before and after different phases of the particular boss, restarting the computer before the run - all very tedious things to do just to fight a single boss.
Then came the Evan patch which made things worse, and then with this last Dual Blade patch it is nearly impossible not to DC even while using the aforementioned methods. There are hundreds, if not thousands of maplers who are getting fed up with these issues. When people write tickets or try to raise this issue, your representatives say it is our computers and that nothing can be done on your end to fix these issues.
We maplers love and enjoy most of the new content you bring us with each patch but I strongly believe that I speak for the majority when I say that there comes a time when fixing the in-game glitches should be prioritised over new content and events. There have been false-autobans (especially around the Haunted House in Crimsonwood), DC hackings (spouse chat DC seems to be the new and most prevalent method at this time), lag issues, the recent meso dupling exploit in which innocent maplers were falsely put on "hell ban" and lost their hard earned mesos, and countless many more bugs and glitches.
Please let our words not fall on deaf ears. We simply want to enjoy this game without so many problems in the way of our daily mapling. There ARE serious issues with Win7/Vista users disconnecting at high level boss runs. These are not random cases of 1 or 2 maplers with low-grade computers. Most of us have specs that far exceed what is necessary to play a simple 2D game. Fix these issues please, Nexon.
I ask all of those who are experiencing these same difficulties to join me and let our voices be heard by the people at Nexon. These glitches are becoming intolerable and down-right annoying. Please fix them Nexon, and thank you beforehand.
PATRONIDGE:
In addition to my Zakum run efforts, I have also attended a Horntail run recently, with the original poster. The first preliminary head went smoothly; I changed quality twice, it died, and I progressed to the second preliminary head. Then, about fifteen seconds in, I was booted off the exact same way that I was disconnected off zak. Gone. Poof. Nada.
(Add no, I did not press alt + f4. Alt is my torpedo button which I rarely ever use, if at all, at bosses. Much less f4, although maybe it would be suitable after I disconnected.)
In addition to these disconnecting issues, I have been lagging every fifteen seconds as soon as I attack, as many forum users have also mentioned. For most, this is hardly an issue- a one second lag out of 15 when training giving less-than-optimal exp, or entering the PIC code incorrectly. However, the aforementioned issues the least of my problems. Ever since the Dual Blade patch (although people have experienced it as early as the release of the Evan patch), I have been unable to even use my Rapid Fire skill. I know I am not alone - I know several bowmasters who not only have stopped training due to this, but gave up bossing altogether. Normally, this is not too bad for a corsair, but this fifteen second lag does not only apply when I use rapid fire, but battleship cannon as well.
So, what am I getting at? I have already mentioned two rather insignificant problems that this lag created, but there is more.
Enter the Parlor, where happy gangsters and of course, Anego reside. And now, introducing your anego fanatic, me.
Normally at anego, I would pin her to the wall on the left easily by means of rapid firing; a quick and simple process. As of the late, the moment I use rapid fire, I'm unable to move. So I attempt at the obvious solution:pinning with battleship cannon. This is where the problem begins. Yes, I can pin her. However, every 15 seconds, I lag, causing anego to suddenly rush up to me. For night lords, due to the faster casting time of triple throw compared to battleship cannon, this is bearable. Even for me, most of the time, say a good 60%, I can hit her again before the lag ends, thus avoiding getting hit with her magic attacks. The other 40% of the time, I will get hit with a nasty 5.3k magic attack. I consider myself lucky that I can tank a 5k hit now (excellently timed ap reset giveaway, Nexon), but forget not that anego also hosts her (in)famous nasty 18k slap. Guess who's been on the receiving line of that slap six times now? Me. At 162, 10% is an excruciatingly large amount of exp about 25m. I don't even want to think about how slow it will be later, but at the moment, each death is 10%. If these deaths weren't bad enough, each anego consumes a large amount of pots; much, much more than before, to the point that I'm spending about six times as many pots per anego (I use ginger ales, which heal hp and mp simultaneously). I have leveled from 125 - 162 completely off from this boss (aside from 2 levels), and it is a shame that I can barely even /train/ anymore because of this glitch.
To the unfortunate bowmasters who can't even use hurricane... I can only say that I sympathize completely for you.
Nexon, please fix these issues. Although it is generally the higher leveled community that suffers from these two issues (which means much less people), these issues are unavoidable. Someday, that level 32 fighter might become a 135 hero, only to find out he can't survive zakum, just because he disconnects. Or the 118 ranger who's motivation to level is hurricane, only to realize he can barely use it.
9. Даёшь пиво в универах и на работе!
Все знают что в высших учебных заведениях и на рабочих местах запрещено пить пиво.
А также все знают что с пива ничего такого произойти не может, но всё равно его не разрешают. Боятся? Чего?
10. Help Get Ms. Flynn To Teach For Windsor Park Collegiate's Art Course!
Ms. Flynn has been teaching us art for about three years. She has been a part time teacher, filling in for Mrs. Sigmar, but was layed off in Fall, due to the new school year. Instead of Ms. Flynn, who has many information and knowledge about this topic Art, has been layed off for a teacher who knows nothing about Art. She's a history teacher for christ sake!
Let someone who has an Anthropology for BA with a minor in Geography, an MA in archaeology, a good portion of fine arts degree and also B. Ed, be the Fine Arts teacher for us students at Windsor Park Collegiate!
11. Set up Jobcreator's Allowance as an alternative to Jobseeker's Allowance
There are currently 5 unemployed people per vacancy in the UK: around 2.5 million unemployed, of whom around 1.5 million claim Jobseeker's Allowance (JSA), and only half a million vacancies. (Source: Office for National Statistics)
What if the 4 out of 5 who will never fill the existing vacancies could instead create their own jobs?
This proposal is based on a simple principle: "Use what we have, to do what we most want in our communities." (www.londoncreativelabs.com)
We envisage Jobcreator's Allowance as an optional alternative to JSA. Claimants will receive an equal amount of money, but instead of being required to show evidence of job search, they will participate in a job creation programme supported by a combination of peers and experts.
The programme will be carefully designed and tested to ensure it reliably generates job opportunities and sustainable business structures. One model already being prototyped is London Creative Labs' process of Skills Camps and Social Startup Labs: www.londoncreativelabs.com
The idea for this petition was developed by a group of 5 people (Hannah Lewis, Eric Donovan, Lana Lim, Ed Whyman and Al Mead) at a Social Startup Lab on 15 June (http://socialstartuplabs-1.eventbrite.com/).

12. Outlaw Outsourcing or Tax Companies that Outsource
Unemployment is an issue that needs to be addressed quickly. With each passing day that this situation continues, thousands of laid-off workers around run out of state and federal benefits. There are simply not enough jobs with the amount of available workers there are and this is a serious problem for many families.
The ‘real’ unemployment rate is 17.5% (.4% more than what it was in December of 1962) which includes both the unemployed and underemployed. The amount of people that want to work but cannot find a job is more than five times the level early this decade and the highest unemployment level since the Great Depression. Even having enough money to take classes to study for a new career is proving difficult for many Americans. Ironically, many jobs are being denied to many graduates because they are overqualified. What will happen to the younger generations? The older generations? How much longer can we wait, Mr. President?
Most of this mess that we are in right now could be avoided if American companies would provide their jobs to American workers and not outsource them.
13. Support the Single Parent Employment Discrimination Act (SPEDA)
A petition to support SPEDA, the Single Parent Employment Discrimination Act to offer Single Parents the same protection offered to other minorities.
14. Stop Eskom Extortion Now !
Since inception, Eskom was a well run independent Company, backed by State guarantee. This guarantee has never been called upon until recent years due to gross mismanagement of Eskom.
Eskom's sole mandate was to ensure cheap electricity availability throughout South Africa to all who paid.
Since Eskom has been converted to a Profit making entity, it has become a complete shambles, threatening the very economy it was designed to benefit.
15. Sue the F.S.A. For Gross Negligence
The Financial Services Authority (F.S.A.)is the independent watchdog that regulates all financial services.
How then, is the U.K. in one of the biggest financial downturns ever recorded (a recession, as it has now been officially declared), when the FSA is in place to supposedly stop this sort of thing happening ?
16. Kids the Age of 13-14 Should Be Alowed To Get Jobs!!
Okay, so here's how this whole thing started.
My friend and I were thinking, "It would be really great to have a job", so what we did was we thought that Bouncer Town would let us get a job. Well, we're 13 and we have to pray to be able to even think about getting a job.
Bouncer Town seems like it would hire kids our age. Or at least it seemed. It's a place based for the younger kids. In fact, you are only aloud to get on the "bounce inflatables" if your 10 or under. When we went to the counter we asked if we could get a job. It was actually kind of embarrassing and angering when we asked about a job.
We walked up to the lady at the counter (who by the way, looked like she wished she could be anywhere but there, how enthusiastic), and asked if they were hiring. She said yeah, of course, and asked if we were 16. We didn't really know what to do after that because it was our first time asking for a job so we just said no and left. Pathetic right?
And most places are the same way. I mean, it is a freakin place for kids! And half the people looked like they would rather work at McDonald's cleaning tables and puke and stuff. Yuck!
THIS TREATY IS PROTECTED BY U.S. COPYRIGHT TX-16017 & U.S. COPYRIGHT, INTERNAL TRACKING # TX-99399
To ask the U.S. Government to develop a TREATY OF FAITHS. The objective, to join hands with all faiths to tell the world that we are love, and that we recognize our unique beliefs and will attempt to stop judging each other. All Church Leaders should talk to their constituencies and tell them that interfaith judgement should stop, and that tolerance and understanding heal our faiths, heal us, and lead us to understand that we are unique and can work next to each other in love. I would like to see this happen as a Worldwide endeavor, a true Universal occurrence. If we did this, it would be the first in history, and all people would agree to stop persecuting each other due to their Faith, their Spiritual beliefs, or Life choices (Re: Abortion. Ex: to disagree is one thing. To hurt or maim is another.)Churches of all Faiths should state that holding one's beliefs is beloved, but to act upon or judge another based on Faith or Life Choices cannot happen.
WE MUST FACE OUR LOVE.
WE MUST FACE OURSELVES.
WE MUST FACE OUR BELOVED CHURCHES, HOLD HANDS, AND REALIZE WE ARE NOT SO VERY DIFFERENT AFTER ALL. WE MUST SIGN A TREATY TO END JUDGEMENTAL PERSECUTION OF PEOPLE ON THIS EARTH. AND IT MUST BE A TREATY BETWEEN ALL PEOPLES, FORGED IN LOVE, TO BE MAINTAINED KNOWING WE ARE A UNIQUE BEAUTIFUL RACE, AND THAT TRUE RACE IS HUMANITY ITSELF.
If we understand this, and start the petition in the United States, and we set the example, we might also be able to reach out worldwide to find a way to touch all Religious Traditions in love. We will submit this petition to the U.S. Government and ask for GLOBAL RECOGNITION of a TREATY OF FAITHS that will attempt to heal our Nation, heal our people, and, hopefully, eventually, the World itself. Once we have forged the TREATY OF FAITHS, we will ask the U.S. Government to build THE CHURCH OF LOVE in Washington D.C., to set a new precedent for Love in our world. This church would respect all religions, all faiths, and all philosophies. The Church of Love’s true
Philosophy, that Love and the perfection of our own souls be first and foremost, and that love bind and connect all religions in Respect and Beauty. It would support the beliefs of all people, and demonstrate that all people on this earth are born and remain equal. Love is the only True Natural Religion...Rebecca Tacosa Gray, Author/Intellectual Owner

18. More Teen Jobs
I think that 14 and 15 year olds should be able to work in any job that is available.
Do you think that we deserve jobs and the right to be considered true hardworking people?
