32. Not Another Holocaust

Not Another Holocaust!
IN THE NAME OF GOD?

How would you react if you became aware of the fact that extremist sects were gradually taking over key positions of international power? And what if these groups were doing so because they consider themselves the chosen ones of God? -- chosen to bring global events into line with Biblical prophecy so that this would make possible the coming of the Messiah as predicted at the end of times? What if these fanatics, as the final step towards achieving their goal, are planning to provoke a Third World War starting in the Middle East, a Third World War that will first reduce the Holy Land to ashes and then the rest of the world? Frightening, but a sad reality – because this is exactly what is happening now.

Evangelical Pentecostal churches play a major role in this secret apocalyptic battle as well as the pseudo-judaic esoteric cult of Chabad Lubavich and Hardal – the radical representatives of “religious Zionism”. Each group today has succeeded in gaining alarming positions of power:

Estimating the worldwide budget of the american Kabbala-Church Chabad at “100 Million Dollar a year, to say the least” – which is no less than half of the sum the Vatican has to its disposal – the German Magazine “Focus” calls the late leader of the Cult, rabbi Schneerson, “the hidden ruler of Israel… No jewish statesman on a visit to the United States, no matter if likud or labor, could get around a private audience.” Moishe, son of the most intimate Schneerson-confidant Yehudah Krinsky and Press-Secretary, admits to the journal: “The Rebbe did participate in every Israli development.”On top of that during the last years Chabad was successfully seizing the majority of the jewish chief rabbinates all over the world. Supported from here and via Israeli diplomatic and intelligence channels as well as lobbying the sect (which was called a “mental disease” by the former Berlin Jewish community rabbi Walther Rothschild) promotes its political aims.

The most profound influence of Chabad and Hardal is exerted on the United States, where in the wake of George W. Bush, the spirit of Christian apocalyptic thinking has taken over. In 2003 chabadnik Paul Wolfowitz, an éminence grise of occult power, led the world into the Iraq war which was allegedly prophesied in the Bible. He was assisted by the following persons who were either allegedly inspired directly by the Bible or who had lent an ear to such whisperings: The US President, Vice-President Dick Cheney; National Security Advisor Condoleeza Rice, now Secretary of State; Minister of Justice John Ashcroft, the leader of the Republican Party in Congress, Tom DeLay, House Majority Leader (no. 1 and leader of his party), Bill Frist; his vice-secretary (and no. 2) Mitch McConnell, the Republicans’ no. 3, Senate Republican Conference Chairman Senator Rick Santorum, the no. 4 of the party; Senate Republican Policy Committee Chairman Jon Kyl; the Republican speaker of the House of Representatives and vice party spokesperson Dennis Hastert. Furthermore, several advisors of the US President and the chief of the Home Security Department. Each of the above persons had ideological and/or personal ties with the apocalyptic messianic network, some of them sort advice from obscure bible-code experts and doomsday gurus on the eve of the Iraq war.

Now this doomsday-cabal is promoting a war against Iran – with the clear intention of dragging Russia into the final battle of the Apocalypse “Gog versus Magog” and leading the battle towards its climax on the battlefield of Armageddon in the Middle East. We shouldn’t be surprised if President Mahmud Ahmadinejad in Teheran joins in the last act of this Biblical drama, as he too is a believer in the coming of a heavenly Messiah, as are his supporters. Final precondition to this “heavenly liberation act”: the start of the Third World War. Prominent White House critics in the USA (amongst them Senators and Congressmen) already point to the danger of a staged nuclear attack which would provoke this war and initiate a process of mass murder.
WE SAY NO!

34. Campaign against the British nominee to the ICJ

The American and the British invasion of Iraq is in the history of the United Nations and to international legal order, a near fatal blow and the institution is still trying to recover from it. Today Iraq has become a humanitarian disaster and furthermore the scourge of war appears to be raising its ugly head once more as being the normal course for the resolution of disputes between States.

The overwhelming opinion of international lawyers was that the invasion was illegal and the question of legality was of utmost importance to both the American and British governments in justifying the invasion.

The British nominee to the Court, Professor Greenwood has the notoriety for being the only prominent if not the only British international lawyer to argue that the invasion of Iraq was justified under international law. His grounds for justification have been doubted, dismissed and disgraced by international lawyers of global eminence.

His election would greatly erode the credibility of the Court and the confidence we as citizens of the world have of the Court. This is in the context of the Court being called to decide on some of the most important questions and disputes affecting mankind.

37. Peace for Iraq

Our military has been fighting in Iraq for a VERY long time. Many have lost their lives in this war and the ones who live want to see their family.

If you think about it, only about 5% is causing all of the trouble and the other 95% is happy that that our troops are there to protect them!

I want them to get rid of that 5% and make both our countries happy and content again.

39. Stop Turkish Military Aggression against Iraqi Kurdistan

A petition expressing our strong opposition to the United States' policy - as advanced by the U.S. State Department - that supports the Turkish government's unchecked use of military force against Iraqi Kurdistan under the pretext of fighting the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK).

This is a clear violation of Iraq's integrity and national sovereignty that is resulting in the calculated destruction of Kurdish civilian villages, bridges and other infrastructure; the displacement of thousands of innocent Kurds; and the destruction of numerous livestock. It also is a blow that threatens the democratic and economic progress that the region has worked so hard to establish following years of devastation and deprivation under Saddam Hussein's genocidal rule.

We demand that the State Department insist that Turkey immediately halt its political and military aggression against Iraq and Iraqi Kurdistan and, additionally, that the State Department advocate a policy the demands recognition and respect for Iraqi's integrity and national sovereignty.

41. U.S. Soldier Fought in Iraq, Now Fighting the Army

I am a Sergeant in the United States Army. I deployed to Iraq for the 06-08 rotation in October of 2006 with the 1st Cavalry Division.

During my deployment I was involved in several roadside bomb attacks, 5 of which hit my vehicle. The last of these attacks, occurred May 7th, 2007. This attack rendered me unconscious, and I had to be EVAC’d to the hospital on the base. After finding I had suffered no neck/ spinal cord injuries, I was released to the clinic for observation for about an hour.

After this, the treatment plan for the next 9 days was merely bed rest and time off. After seeking further medical treatment, but not getting it, I told them I would seek further treatment while home on leave if my problems persisted. I then returned home on leave for R & R in June of 2007.

The medical treatment I was to receive from a civilian doctor would have kept me home longer than my leave would allow, so I was denied the coverage and told to return to Iraq immediately. I asked to report back to my unit on Fort Hood so I could see a doctor there before returning to Iraq to make sure I was okay. I was denied, and told to return to Iraq immediately.

Seeing that the United States Army was refusing me medical treatment, I told them I wouldn’t return to duty until I was allowed to see a doctor. I was AWOL and become a deserter, waiting for permission. It took until November 15th for someone to agree to let me see the doctor, so I have reported back to Fort Hood, and am receiving medical treatment.

However, now I am being charged with being AWOL and missing movement back to Iraq, and am facing a punishment that would include loss of rank and pay, restriction and extra duty for 45 days, and unable to receive any awards or decorations or be promoted for 12 months.

I don’t believe I should losing my Sergeant Stripes for my actions. PLEASE HELP!!

I need YOUR help to get me some support and show them that this isn’t right.

44. Media Should Stop the Sectarian Divisions of Iraq

In the last few years we have noticed a disturbing tendency among media outlets, both western and Arab, to divide Iraq into groups based on the religious affiliations or other sectarian lines.

For example, when Saddam Hussein was taken into court, almost all media outlets referred to the victims as "148 Shi'a," rather than "148 Iraqis", as if the Iraqi government was prosecuting for one side and not the other.

As another example, when the Iraqi national soccer team won the Asian cup in 2007, the media focused on the religious affiliations of the players, as if these religious differences are what matter most in the context of the sport and the victory of the team. All of the players are Iraqis, and they are defending Iraq on the football field where sectarian definitions are irrelevant.

As Iraqis from all over the world, we would like to express to the media that this incessant focus on sectarian divisions when it comes to Iraq reporting is anathema to many Iraqis who really look at Iraq as one nation - not a divided land - and we think that in order to heal Iraq’s wounds, we must stop dividing Iraqis into sects and groups when it is not relevant to the story, and should make every attempt to report on the people and their tragedy as one nation.

As Iraqis, we maintain that most of the violence in Iraq is committed by people who do not care about Iraqis - whether Sunni or Shi'a; they care only about destroying Iraq and exploiting the country economically and/or structurally in order to achieve their goal of dividing the Iraqi people among themselves.

45. Pledge for Peace – Fall Peace Offensive

Seventy members of Congress have already signed an open letter to President Bush with those words. Please sign the online petition at pdamerica.org.

THE PLEDGE FOR PEACE CAMPAIGN HAS TO BEGIN NOW because in September Congress will be debating FY 2008 funding for military operations in Iraq.

That is what prompted the 70 members of Congress to put Bush on public notice with their letter. We must grow that number from 70 to 100 to 150.

SPREAD THE WORD! The popularity of Democrats in Congress is dwindling as they allow the Iraq occupation to continue. Let’s rally around those Congress members who are standing firm in using their power of the purse to carry out the voters’ will of disengagement from Iraq.

ULTIMATELY, The Progressive Democrats of America (PDA) STANDS COMMITTED TO THE COMPREHENSIVE IRAQ WITHDRAWAL PLAN outlined in H.R. 508 by Lynn Woolsey with Barbara Lee and Maxine Waters and supported by 50 Congress members. The final plan will likely not be called 508 but should include:
* withdrawal of all U.S. troops and military contractors
* an international stabilization force
* major economic and humanitarian assistance to the Iraqi people
* full healthcare for U.S. veterans
* no permanent U.S. bases or control over Iraqi oil.

46. Vermonters Against Passage of HR 2956

On July 12, 2007 Democratic leaders engineered a 223-201 passage of legislation requiring the withdrawal of U.S. combat troops to begin within 120 days, and to be completed by April 1, 2008. The measure envisions a limited residual force to train Iraqis, protect U.S. assets and fight Al Qaeda and other terrorists.

The vote generally followed party lines: 219 Democrats and four Republicans in favor, and 191 Republicans and 10 Democrats opposed.

47. Apologise to the Iraqi people

The Iraqi people deserve an apology. Too often we hear politicians bending, sidestepping, spinning, obfuscating or plain denying the truth. Rarely do they take responsibility and apologise when they have made mistakes, however genuinely and sincerely they made them.

It would be possible to lose ourselves in neverending discussion over strategies on how best to address the situation in Iraq: increase funds, don't fund, increase troops, withrdraw troops etc. Instead, the quality and dynamic of the conversation about Iraq -- more importantly, between Iraqis the USA, UK and allies -- needs to change.

Regardless of strategies adopted, the Iraqi people deserve a clear and straightforward acknowledgement -- stating that the invasion of Iraq was categorically a mistake -- and an apology.

The future of the Middle East depends on the conversational dynamic changing, via an ounce of such honesty. Remaining silent on the issue of how the war began and led to appalling sectarian violence sustains the impression that the allies continue to regard the invasion of Iraq as strategically appropriate. This fuels alienation, ongoing despair and increasing hatred.

Acknowledging the mistake -- whether one regards it as one of morality and/or strategy -- in no way dishonours the memories of loved ones lost in, or undermine the work of those still in, Iraq.

48. CATHOLICS SHOULD NOT ALLOW BLAIR TO CONVERT

As a man who willingly endorsed policies that lead to the deaths of hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqi children and against the wishes of the bishop of Rome, waged an unholy, unjust and illegal war on a sovereign state, it would be completely unacceptable for him to be enrolled as a full member of the catholic church.

This is compounded by his public refusal to accept the error of his actions and his share of the responsibility for the carnage and slaughter, as a nation is torn apart.

51. Stop people from protesting at fallen war heroes funerals

OK, when you lose a loved one in a war you don't say good bye or anything you just wake up one day and they are gone. It is devastating to you and it can leave you into a long depression.

If you haven't lost anyone to the war in Iraq or any war for that matter you most likely won't understand the pain and torment it causes. It is even worse when you attend their funeral with a broken heart and see people with signs that say stuff like "they had it coming" and "They shouldn't get such a honorable funeral". Don't get me wrong ive always been against this war from the beginning and protesting against the war is OK with me, i protest when ever I'm in america. I just wish people would stop waving these offencive signs at a funeral and anyone who could say they had it coming or deserved it should just keep that opinoin to them selves.

52. No More Harry News - Keep his deployment secret

Currently there is increased speculation that Prince Harry, who is a member of the British Royal Family, may be sent to Iraq as part of the ongoing British Army Deployment there.

The media has recently published more than one article related to the possible whereabouts of Prince Harry and his regiment, as well as information that could lead to the insurgents or terrorist cells to conduct potentially dangerous and lethal acts against the Prince and his fellow soldiers.

There is a need for the media to be banned from reporting specific details of Harry's possible deployment in Iraq or other war zones.

Because of Harry's high profile, it's feared that he would be a target of those who are currently causing mayhem in Iraq. If this were to happen, then Prince Harry's fellow soldiers would also be in danger of losing their lives.

Please support this petition for a press agreement to protect Prince Harry and his fellow soldiers.

An AP-Ipsos poll was taken after the President's address to the Nation and it was shown that 71% opposed sending over more troops to Iraq.
