I am confident that this could be a revolution for the research and diagnosis of multiple sclerosis ”— Dr. Paolo Zamboni.
If there is a possiblity that MS can be cured this procedure should be looked into. This experimental surgery Dr. Zamboni performed on his wife offers hope that MS, which afflicts 2.5 million people worldwide, can be cured and even largely prevented.
London won the bid for the 2012 Olympics on the grounds that it would emphasise the cultural side of the Olympic movement and that cultural events would blend into the programme of the Games themselves!
Therefore the great cultural happening of pie throwing should be part of this fantastic celebration, I personally along with fellow workers at the Bureau Of Silly ideas have been campaigning up and down the country collecting real signatures from real people so far out of the thousands we have met only 2 people have refused (we know who you are and where you live!!)
This is our first embarkation into cyber campaigning there is already a facebook group “piethrowingfor2012” please join it, email us with questions, donations and offers of help at email@example.com and above all sign this petition.
CEO Bureau Of Silly ideas
We continue to take a stand against companies and members of congress who do not support womens rights. One thing we are not doing enough of is educating our children about women's rights.
Perhaps if the ceo's and members of congess who are not standing up for womens rights were educated about sexual equality at an early age maybe, we wouldn't continue to have to fight for them.
President Bush just made a statement that intelligent design should be taught in schools. His reasoning was (direct quote from msnbc):
"I think that part of education is to expose people to different schools of thought," Bush said. "You're asking me whether or not people ought to be exposed to different ideas, the answer is yes."
Bush is right we should learn about many different schools of thought and many different ideas. Therefore feminism should also be taught in schools. Both men and women have a right to know about the many issues women have to fight for.
For more than 45 years, this illegal and immoral policy has achieved the sole function of harming hundreds of thousands of innocent men, women and children, by preventing ready access to food, medicine and other essential goods.
Not only does the embargo indiscriminately punish the Cuban people by:
* Barring the delivery of the newest, most effective medicines, medical equipment, and medical information;
* Discouraging foreign companies from sending goods to Cuban ports;
* Blocking the shipment of water treatment equipment that prevents the spread of water-borne disease;
* Causing life-threatening nutritional deficiencies in pregnant women and children.
The embargo also stifles individual American freedoms and the free exchange of values and ideas by:
* Denying our right to free travel;
* Refusing all visits to extended family in Cuba;
* Forbidding more than one visit every three years to a close family member in Cuba (even if sick or dying);
* Prohibiting the free exchange of values and ideas;
* Restricting the exchange of students and scholars;
* Forbidding professionals from academic, scientific and cultural conferences sponsored by U.S. or Cuban institutions.
You saw how horrible "Hey Arnold! the Movie" did in theaters. Let's make sure Nick doesn't do it again. (n.allegri)
You heard it on Entertainment tonight... or maybe access... it was one of those shows, but there's a new Spongebob movie set to come out 2004! Before you start celebrating, take a look at the company making it. Nickelodeon, who came out with such horrible flops like "Jimmy Neutron" and the sad little "Hey Arnold!" movie. Even though these may have started as good ideas, they have been "Nicked" to DEATH.
