241. Re-instate Medical Cannabis
Cannabis is an illicit drug in Australia, even as a medicine. Cannabis has been used successfully as a medicine for over 5,000 years all across the Globe.
We believe it should be re-instated as a choice of medicine for those who know it can/does help them with their disorders, such as overcoming them or keeping them under control and relieving negative aspects of the disorder.

242. Labels for Transgenic Foods
Since transgenic foods have made their way onto this country's grocery shelves, many concerns have been voiced by several different groups- from those to do with the biodiversity and biological piracy in developing nations to health concerns regarding unforeseen allergic reactions and antibiotic resistance as well as environmental repercussions such as cross-pollination of non-transgenic crops by transgenic crops and new strains of plants created through the natural flow of genes from one species to another in addition to more resistant pests and weeds.
In addition, the lack of specific labeling for transgenic food products, combined with the lack of long-term testing on the effects of transgenic foods on humans, denies the consumer's right to choose between transgenic and non-transgenic foods and makes us all guinea pigs in the world's laboratory.
This is unacceptable.
243. Radiowave Therapy Clinic for East Coast
Australian Dr John Holt's radiowave therapy is an alternative treatment for cancer that does not have side effects like chemotherapy.
There is a clinic in WA and one in Ireland. Jenny Barlow is trying to set one up on the East Coast of Australia to reduce waiting lists in Australia and also provide sick patients on the Eastern Seaboard with treatment as they can not travel to WA or overseas.
Radiowave therapy uses a specific frequency of 434 MHz (megahertz) in the UHF (ultra-high frequency) band to stress or activate cancer cells so that they can then be killed.
Dr Holt treated thousands of patients with one or other of his two radiowave therapies over a period of 30 years.
244. Students for Healthy School Options
One of the worst problems facing America today is it's increasing levels of overweight and obesity. "A recent report published by a research team at Johns Hopkins University predicts that if current trends continue, by the year 2015, 75 percent of all Americans, including 24 percent of all children and adolescents, will be overweight or obese" (PCRM).
These numbers are astonishingly high, so health has become a key issue. One main focus has grown on the influence of American schools.
The National School Lunch Program (NSLP), established in 1946, is one of five federally funded child nutrition programs which provide meals to children across the country daily. "Schools participating in the NSLP receive cash subsidies and commodity foods for each meal served and bonus commodities, as they are available from agricultural surplus. In return, schools must serve lunches that meet federal nutrition requirements" (PCRM).
Unfortunately, there are many factors, including financial constraints and outdated federal requirements, which permit schools to serve unhealthful food.
"One of the most significant roadblocks to change is the USDA’s commodity system. Each year, the USDA purchases hundreds of millions of pounds of pork, beef, and other animal products, primarily as an economic benefit to agricultural interests, and donates them to the NSLP and other food assistance programs. Unfortunately, these “entitlement foods” are almost all unhealthful foods. This system makes it easy and inexpensive for food service directors to choose chicken nuggets, hot dogs, and other high-cholesterol, high-fat foods" (PCRM).
The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine's (PCRM) "Healthy School Lunch Campaign was established in 2001 to help protect children’s health and to reduce childhood obesity rates by increasing the availability of healthful plant-based foods in schools" (PCRM). "To earn a high grade on PCRM’s School Lunch Report Card, school districts must go above and beyond USDA requirements, which many nutrition experts believe are inadequate" (PCRM).
Since the induction of the Healthy School Lunch Campaign, many school districts have begun to increase the availability of healthy vegetarian and vegan entrées. And while a peanut butter and jelly sandwich is an entirely acceptable vegan option, some schools have even begun to offer more creative and tasteful options, such as veggie burgers and extended salad bars. These advances have been highly praised and are the initial steps which will lead today's generations into a more healthy, productive future.
These are changes that we hope to be seen in our own schools and community. We hope that Murrieta Valley High School may take the lead in providing healthful food options which may promote a more successful, healthy future for it’s students. We know that a productive life begins with a positive diet. For those who already choose to eat healthfully, as well as those who have not been given the option, we are for the better availability of food which is nourishing for both our bodies and minds.
245. Ban Junk Food ads on Children's TV Time
1 in 4 children in Australia are overweight. Their is talk from the Health Minister that a junk food ad ban may take place during 9am - 6pm.
Please see Richard & Joey Marc who created the highly successful book Please Mum Don't Supersize Me!
246. Allow UK citizens to use Cannabis for medicinal reasons
We believe the population of the United Kingdom, should be allowed the right to use medicinal Cannabis for muscle spasms, pain relief and other medical conditions, where Cannabis is found to help people, without fear of prosecution.
I and many other UK citizens use Cannabis for medicinal reasons. Whether we use Cannabis to help with conditions like; cancer, pain, muscle spasms or other medical conditions where Cannabis is found to help.
We all use for one reason and one reason only, the NHS cannot control our medical condition’s but cannabis does!
We cannot all be wrong, we know we are right, because of cannabis we can now lead a better way of life.
We want to be legal to use Cannabis and help ourselves as the NHS has failed us all.
I and others have had a MP, Dr and a top pain consultant, write to the heads of heath requesting me to be able to get cannabis via the NHS. all application have failed.
Me and many other people, write to the government of the UK asking for the help we desperately need as the NHS has failed us, you never get a reply.
If you call the government you get hung up on. If you fax them you get no reply!
Why is the government of the UK leaving us to rot with medical complications which cannabis improves!
To top it all off with 10 Downing street, I applied for this petition to be placed along with there e-petitions. It got refused 3 times. I even placed a request to contact me via telephone if there was a problem listing it. I never even got a personal email back from the government.
This petition will be delivered to Downing Street on the 25th of June 2008 at 2pm. I’m going to personally guarantee that this petition will get to number 10. It will be hand delivered to prime ministers Gordon browns office in the above date. As the government won’t listen to individuals, we shall go by way of protests and let the government see how many people this law affects.
There are no victims when we smoke cannabis, how can it be a criminal offence!
Did you know, even thou Cannabis has been downgraded to a category c drug in the UK. You can still be jailed for up to 5 years, if you are caught with Cannabis. Even if it’s for personal medicinal use!
This UK Cannabis law is wrong, we all need help. We can help ourselves with Cannabis with miraculous results. But we can not do so without the fear of been prosecuted by the UK’s very own Criminal Prosecution Services!
A lot of people like I, have no choice but to take morphine etc from the NHS, as this is the best pain relief they can give you. Morphine only takes the edge off my neurological pain. Approximately 10% of my pain is reduced by morphine by the end of the day. After taking so much morphine you find yourself passing out hallucinating wildly due to the need of more and more pain relief/ morphine needed.
If I use cannabis for my chronic neurological pain, I feel great mentally, my pain gets reduces by approximately 65% and I’m able to get out of a bed ridden state.
Please come and show us your support at Protest London 2008.
www.protestlondon.co.uk here you can find all the latest information about the protest.
Please don’t come to the London protest to support me. Yes, I am the head of the protest, I’m a voice of thousands of UK sufferers who are still lying in a bed ridden state. These people will not even try Cannabis for there medical conditions, because the UK laws forbid them do so!
These people like me can get some life back, if only they could get hold of and use medicinal cannabis at our own cost!
Cannabis is not suitable for all people, but the people it does help should have the legal rights to use a plant/ weed/ natural product, Cannabis. To treat there medical conditions!
Even if you don’t use cannabis medicinally at the moment, please still come. You may still require the rights to try cannabis legally in a few years time. Who can say who will come down with MS, cancer, neurological pain or even muscle spasms etc. over the next 10-20+ years!
I and others just want the right to be able to use Cannabis to help ourselves to achieve a better way of life. The NHS cannot control our discomforts and pain caused by our medical conditions, so we have to help ourselves with Cannabis.
Some people use cannabis just to sleep and de-stress after a hard days work. This is also classed as medicinal use. If Cannabis is used to help to give someone a better way of life, then they should be allowed the rights to self medicate legally!
All we want and are asking for is the support of the general public to exorcise our own human rights to self medicate using Cannabis, if there is no way the NHS can control our medical conditions.
Medical practitioners who recommend us trying cannabis to help our medical problems even let us know it’s against the law but it may be worth trying. They all cannot be wrong can they? They would back up a lot of medical users as they know how well Cannabis can help with M.S. and other conditions effecting the human body and mind..
Cannabis can be used as a cream as well as smoked, vaporized or eaten. its about time people found out the good medicinal sides of cannabis.
Allowing us to be able to use Cannabis to alleviate our symptoms, if backed up by a medical practitioner or specialist, would be great.
If we where allowed to use it legally we would not have to fund large gangs who grow, distribute and sell the Cannabis. Our local chemist could sell us Cannabis, if we had a license to use medicinal Cannabis legally.
The Cannabis we buy from the streets at extortionate prices, is heavily contaminated. Please even just let us be able to grow our own under license. We would save the NHS money and we would be able to control our symptoms at our own cost. The NHS could even control the sale of Cannabis and the profits made could clear all nhs debts over the following years.
Cannabis is a plant which is roughly grown the same way as tomatoes. It cost a minimal amount to grow and harvest. There is a lot of interest in buying clean cannabis in this country. There are a lot of people suffering because they cannot get out to meet dealers to buy medicinal cannabis
Cannabis costs little to grow and there are a lot of funds to be made for the inland revinue/ nhs, if we can get the medicinal Cannabis laws changed. If chemists where allowed to supply medicinal users if back up by medical professionals etc. then we would all lead a better way of life.
America, Canada, Holland etc. etc. allow people to use cannabis medicinally and allow them to buy it in licensed outlets. Why is the UK so behind with medical advances in cannabis use?
You know it makes sense and the government have ignored us for too long, we will not be ignored for any longer.
We have a medicinal Cannabis protest in London on the wed 25th June 2008, meeting up at Parliament Square london. At 11am.
Please visit www.protestlondon.co.uk if you would like to know more and even join out free forums and see for yourself how Cannabis changes people’s lives for the better.
Please help free medicinal Cannabis users from prosecution.
Please sign our petition which will be handed to our own prime minister of the UK, Mr. Gordon Brown, MP> on the day of the protest at 2pm. The protest is legal and all arranged with police and Downing Street. Full permissions have been acquired to run a legal protest in London’s scota area (high risk/security areas)
Please support us, if you cannot make London but you would still like to support us in some way, on the protest London website you can find links to download.
These consist of copies of our posters, advertising the protest. These can be put up in shop/car windows, local notice boards; hospitals etc. please obtain permission if needed to advertise. All hospitals in the UK need covering; this is where the people who could benefit from cannabis can be found. My local hospital has the posters up and the number of people with severer medical condition attending will be huge from just seeing posters in the outpatient wards etc.
We have a petition link under news, if you have somewhere you can place a hand written petition for people to sign. Please feel free to do print a few copies of and see if you can have a copy even in your corner shop.
Please visit protestlondon.co.uk there you will find out how you can help the protest by donating to our cause.
Protestlondon08 will be a peaceful protest, children and families welcome. Disabilities don’t only affect the people with the medical conditions. The whole family is affected if the medicinal cannabis user is in pain or discomfort! Thank you for all your time and support with medicinal Cannabis legalisation.

247. Freedom of choice for Hospitals - England or Wales
I need a colostomy as I am a War Vet. and the time has come for me to have this op. as my wife can no longer carry on as she too is an OAP and in poor health.
The Welsh Assembly has told my Consultant in the hospital of my choice for 23 years now, that they will no longer fund my own Hospital. I am sure it would cost the Assembly a lot more to supply a not too clever Ambulance service to transport me from my home to Hospital, then take me home again.
By going in my own transport it saves the Welsh Office considerable ammount of money in travelling expenses.
248. Comprehensive Medicare cover for complementary and integrative healthcare
The introduction of mental health plans and Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) under Medicare have been great steps forward in public health.
Currently, only some healthcare providers (dentists, physiotherapists, chiropractors, osteopaths and podiatrists) are able to register as allied health professionals to provide a limited number of treatments as part of an Enhanced Primary Care plan provided by a GP.
People who are chronically ill tend to be the ones who benefit most from complementary healthcare, but can least afford it.
Wellbeing should not be reserved for the well-off.
Australia could become a world leader in public wellbeing by not only providing dental health cover, but also complementary and integrative healthcare under Medicare.

250. Tell Congress: Totally Ban Asbestos in Industrial Materials, Consumer Products and Toys
Tell Congress: Totally Ban Asbestos in Industrial Materials, Consumer Products and Toys
Americans have zero tolerance for asbestos!
Scientists agree: Asbestos causes cancer and other deadly diseases, thousands of Americans die each year from asbestos-related diseases, and there’s no known safe level of exposure to any form of asbestos. Yet even with millions of dollars spent in asbestos litigation and medical expenses, asbestos is still legal in the US and still found in many common consumer products – even children’s toys.
The US EPA attempted to ban asbestos-containing products in 1989, but that ban was overturned on legal technicalities in court two years later.
In 2007, the Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization commissioned independent, certified laboratory testing that found asbestos in common household products, such as spackle, window glazing, and duct tape, and even in best-selling children’s toys, such as the popular "CSI Fingerprint Examination Kit." Research by others had already found asbestos in some children's play clays.
Congress is expected to hold hearings soon on whether to implement a total ban on asbestos-containing products. Right now, industry lobbyists are pressuring Congress to institutionalize the allowance of up to 1 percent of asbestos in our industrial materials, consumer products, toys, and other products on American store shelves. We say, "No!" It’s time for a total ban on asbestos in American products.
As organizations and individuals representing and advocating for those most impacted by the toxic effects of asbestos, we urge Congress to institute an effective and verifiable ban on asbestos.
We, the undersign, join Paul Brodeur, Bill Ravanesi, Linda Reinstein, Doug Larkin, Jordan Zevon, Jill Vaughan, Dr. Richard A. Lemen, Dr. Arthur L. Frank, Dr. Michael R. 251. Help the people talk
When a family member dies we need to talk about that person. This is a vital part of mourning our loss.
In places where death is happening in a violent way, the need is greater and longer lasting. All deaths need to be mourned.
The benefits of mourning lost people in our family is better health and less hatred.
252. Write-off the £80m Dewsbury Hospital Debt Burden
Currently, the Trust that manages the hospitals serving Dewsbury, Wakefield and Pontefract - the Mid-Yorkshire NHS trust - is being crushed by a huge debt of around £80m.
Although the Trust is now under new-management, its effectiveness, and the morale of it staff, is being seriously affected by this crushing deficit. Without help, it will take over 100 years for this debt to be cleared.
We call upon this government to write-off this huge debt in order to safeguard NHS jobs and patient care for all the people of Dewsbury, Wakefield and Pontefract.
253. Ban Plastic
Plastics are materials made to be thrown away. Only 3-5% of all plastic ever gets recycled. The rest finds its way to the landfill or the ocean.
In the landfill, plastic residues can leach into the groundwater after rain, along with various other chemicals from the trash. This substance, called leachate, is toxic to humans, animals, and many plants.
In the oceans, plastic collects in several places, most notably the North Pacific subtropical gyre, otherwise known as the "Eastern Garbage Patch". This ten million square mile area northwest of Hawai'i is literally six feet deep in plastic, quite possibly more.
Most types of plastic and the various gases they produce are toxic. In fact, the obesity epidemic, rising rates of cancer, and increasing infertility have all been solidly linked to the rising production and consumption of plastics.
Plastics are even now shifting the course of evolution -- of humanity and of animals, such as seabirds and plankton, who come into contact with them. It is arguable that of everything produced by the human race, plastics have had and will continue to have the greatest impact on the environment.
By signing and supporting this petition, you can help to protect our planet and our future.
254. Legalize the Sale of Human Kidneys in United States
About 350,000 Americans suffer from end-stage renal disease, a kidney disorder so advanced that the organ ceases to function (Finkel).
These victims are in need of new organs in order to stay alive, but the problem is not enough kidneys are donated to provide adequate transplants for everyone.
Those placed on a wait list typically have to spend years before they even have the chance of receiving their new kidney. Most victims die while waiting; in fact, In the year 2000 alone, 2,583 Americans died while waiting for a kidney transplant (Goyal, Mehta, Schneiderman, and Sehgal). The number of deaths worldwide is around 50,000.
However, there is a solution to this large problem: legalize the sale of human kidneys in the United States. Legalization and the promise of monetary profit to donors would provide the incentive needed to convince more people to donate their organs.
Thousands of lives would be saved through this process, and America as a world leader would set the stage for more countries to legalize the sale of kidneys. Regulation is a must, of course, in order to allow complete fairness in monetary compensation. With this process in place, new hope and new life can be given to those needing this valuable organ.

255. Open letter to the Chief Minister, Maharashtra about saving the open spaces of Mumbai
CitiSpace (Citizens’ Forum for Protection of Public Spaces) established in June 1998 is an NGO which networks over 600 Resident Associations, Community Based Organisations (CBOs), NGOs, Trade/Commercial Establishments and individuals in most of Mumbai’s 24 Wards.
Our creed is the protection of all Public and Open Spaces (such as Footpaths, Playgrounds, Recreation grounds, Beaches and Mangroves) and advocacy of the rightful use of those spaces.
Mumbai’s Public Open Spaces are rapidly diminishing. We have a duty to make Mumbai City liveable again.
On 21 November 2007, the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai has passed a regressive Caretaker Policy which will deprive the common man of access to Reserved Public Open Spaces.
These Open Spaces are held in trust by the government to be looked after by them using our money, collected by way of taxes.
The signature campaign is aimed at getting the citizens of Mumbai to join ranks and oppose this move, thereby saving the remaining Reserved Open Spaces of Greater Mumbai.

256. Save Our Lady's Children's Hospital In Crumlin
The minister for Health and Children has said that the government is determined to proceed with the development of a new national children's Hospital on a site at the Mater Hospital in Dublin.
I am all for a new and bigger National Children's Hospital,
But what we are looking for is that Our Lady's Children's Hospital be kept at its currant location. The loss of this Hospital to the local people and patients far and wide would be a great blow.
We are fighting to keep our hospital where it is.
The Mater Hospital in the Taoiseach’s constituency was chosen by government in June 2006 as the site for the New National Paediatric Hospital (NNPH). Not only is it to be the national tertiary hospital for the whole country but, alarmingly, and on no evidence-base, it is also to be the only one in the greater Dublin region providing 24-hour care for children; having the only inpatient beds; the only overnight beds and the only Emergency Department - next “port-of-call” Drogheda, Mullingar, Portlaoise and Wexford hospitals.
Would you want to be a critically-ill or injured child in the back of an ambulance trying to get to the greater Dublin region’s only Children’s Emergency Department at the Mater? Just, please; do not plan it during a marathon, an All-Ireland at Croke Park, a gig at the Point or the RDS or the many other happy occasions that cause gridlock in our city centre.
257. A Completely Smoke Free World
I. CIGARETTES
1. THEY'RE HIGHLY ADDICTIVE!
2. THEY HAVE UNRECOGNIZABLE CHEMICALS IN THEM!
3.THEY CAUSE CANCER!
4. KILL PEOPLE!
5. THEY HAVE NO OTHER USE!

258. Encouraging media to accentuate the positive
We claim we want to increase positive contributions made by those in our world, but yet we don't protest when our media presents 99 percent of its broadcasts and papers filled with war, crime, and violence.
While it is true that these things are occurring and we need to know about them to encourage change toward peace, why can't we hold our media accountable for showing a more realistic view of us. I request you sign this petition to encourage all media to be required, through their license in journalism, to dedicate at least fifty percent of their contents to positive actions and events in the world. The reasons your support of this petition is crucial follow.
One. It has been shown that media heavily influences our behavior. If its contents continue to accentuate the negative, our young people will learn to value violence. However, if we encourage the media to dedicate at least half of its contents to positive events and actions, we will promote higher quality values of peace and kindness.
Two. It has been scientifically proven that optimism improves health. If we hear more positive news everyday, it will improve individual health, increase mood, and inspire us to act in kindness and peace. Thus, improving the health of our society by requiring media to report positive news daily.
Some other reasons include:
One. Showing positive role models.
Two. Increasing the number and willingness of volunteers.
Three. Maintaining and improving the life and services of charitable organizations who help improve quality of life for those who need assistance.
Four. Promoting peaceful conflict resolutions (right now all the media seem to be showing is crime and use of guns for this. We need to encourage the showing of positive conflict resolution through medium.)
Five. Increasing self-respect and respect for others.
In conclusion, I request that you sign this petition in support of requiring the media, through requirements of journalism licensing, to dedicate at least fifty percent of its coverage to positive news and events. In doing this, we will promote peace, values, respect, altruism, volunteerism, health, and a more prosperous world.
Thank you for taking the time to read and consider this petition.
Thank you for your support to require the media to accentuate the positive for the improvement of our world.
259. Rejection Of Insurance Provided By 1199
The reasons for hospital employees denying GHI health insurance include:
• St Luke’s Cornwall Hospital Doesn’t except GHI insurance
• Many of the doctors in the area don’t accept GHI insurance
• Less flexibility in care and coverage with GHI
• Less is covered in the plan being offered(GHI) than in the plan we currently have(MVP)
• Maximum lifetime benefit of only one million dollars (GHI).
260. Workplace rights for Australian workers
It has been my experience that some employers in the disability sector can and do treat their staff any way they like, without having to answer to anyone or any supposed laws.
These employers need to be named and exposed.
Mubarak Abdullahi ElFadel Elmahdi, Chairman of Umma Reform and Renewal Party was arrested from his house in Khartoum 14th on July 2007 by the National intelligence and Security Service. Also arrested was secretary general AbdelGaliel ElBasha and 15 retired military men.
Mr ElMahdi,a staunch advocate of democracy, was falsely accused of sabotage as a prelude to a coup d'etet. He is being held in solitary confinement and unsanitary conditions with poor food and without due regard to his failing health. He is feeling severely ill and is requesting medical treatment by his personal doctor but is being denied.A medical doctor he was trying to see before his detention testifies his deteriorating health condition.
Similarly Amnesty International has issued a circular to its members requesting them to come to the support of Mr Mubarak ElMahdi and his colleagues.
262. Expand public funding to Tasmania’s ambulance service
This Petition is made in response to the fact that Tasmanians will soon have to pay out hundreds of dollars to use an ambulance under the user-pays system which was announced as part of the state budget this year.
The bill will force the half of Tasmanians population who are not in private health to take out insurance or face a hefty bill when they call an ambulance.
Labor tried to introduce an ambulance levy in 1989 which was scrapped after public outcry. with enough public support we can stop it again.
Guernsey Airtel have made numerous applications to erect masts and/or antennae on buildings and agricultural land throughout the island of Guernsey.
Research suggests that there can be a significant negative impact on health to people resident in areas near masts.
More startling is the fact that the proposed sites include a hospital and educational buildings utilised by children.
264. Save the Red Cross Hospital In Jatari Campesino, Ecuador
In years past the Spanish Red Cross conducted a project in which they constructed a hospital in the small, rural village of Jatari Campesino, Ecuador.
Due to the economic state of Jatari Campesino they have not been able to continue to fund and upkeep the hospital on their own and it now stands as an empty storage space.
The people have to travel an hour away to get any medical attention, though the service is not satisfactory due to the overwhelming racism towards the aboriginals living in rural Ecuador.
This is also what has prevented the citizens from asking for help on their own.
265. Ban non-essential pesticides in N.B. / Pour l'interdiction des pesticides non essentiels au N-B
The scientific evidence of the dangers of pesticides to our health and our environment is undeniable. We know that children are particularly vulnerable to pesticide exposure.
The Ontario College of Family Physicians’ Report on pesticides (2004) identifies a link between exposure to pesticides and neurological problems and cardiovascular deficiency among children.
Children from homes where pesticides have been used have 4 times the risk of developing soft tissue cancer (American Journal of Public Health) and 6 to 7 times the risk of developing leukemia (Journal of the National Cancer Institute).
There are over 125 Canadian municipalities which have adopted a bylaw that reduces or bans the use of pesticides. Municipalities in New Brunswick should be able to do the same in a clear legislative context.
266. Approval of Avavstin for All Nova Scotians
Petition For Approval of Avavstin for All Nova Scotians.
We the undersigned are calling upon the deptartment of Health for the drug Avavstin for all those living with Cancer. Please sign this petition so we can get the most signatures to present it to the Minister of Health with the N.S. Government.
267. Gia tin Ygeia / For Health
Her death hit the nerve of Greece as by storm. On 01.06.07, set as “Amalia’s Day”, the biggest internet movement that has ever taken place in Greece, starting at giatinamalia blog, with the participation of thousands of citizens all around the world, sent the message to every direction, loud and clear: “Quacks should be the exception, not the norm!”.
The bloggers that continued the public dialogue in the amaliasday blog, now carry on with the "Gia tin Ygeia / For Health" movement, which includes the giatinygeia forum and the giatinygeia google-group opening and the simultaneous gathering of signatures at this e-petition site, in which everyone can participate.
We are grateful to all those who honour their service and fight for public Health, but we protest against the disintegration phenomena in the Greek National Health System that brought us to this point.

268. Get Cleft lip and palate covered for life
Alright, this petition is for my daughter and every other child suffering from cleft lip and palate in the state of Wisconsin.
My daughter was born on October 1, 2003. She was born with a complete cleft lip and palate. If you don’t know what that is it is basically when the child’s lip is not together and they don’t have a roof in their mouth.
She has been on Badger Care, the state insurance, for all of her life. Yesterday, June 18, 2007, I received a notice in the mail. My daughter is no longer on badger care because I got a part time job to help pay bills. My husband and I only make 100 more than what the limit is for low income. We cannot afford to pay $100 a week for the insurance through his work and we also cannot pay the couple thousand bills that we would expect to receive from her surgeries and her appointments. My daughter has a clinic coming up which takes 5 hours. We cannot afford to sit in that doctor’s office for 5 hours.
We also find out when her next surgery is, but the sad thing is she cannot have that surgery because Wisconsin’s Badger Care Program dropped her. I believe that any child with a cleft lip should be covered for life, to make sure they have a better life. I don’t care if their parents are multimillionaires or don’t even have a penny to their names.
My daughter can only say 4 clear words, Mommy, Daddy, Grandma, and kitty. She can say other words but you have to know her to understand her. Sometimes I even have to play guessing games to figure out what she is saying. That is what the surgery coming up is for it is to help her speak more clear.
My daughter knows that she is different. She knows that her lip isn’t the same as her cousins. She knows that she cannot talk as well as others. Sometimes she even plays it up to get her way.
All I want is my daughter to lead a normal life as much as possible. I want her to be happy. I told her this morning that she won’t get any more surgeries until mommy figures out the state, she cried. She knows that she needs her surgeries.
I want to get as many signatures as possible to get cleft lip and palate covered no matter what by badger care, because no child should suffer due to their parents’ income.
269. Medical Council Of India please adopt Integrated Medical Curriculum
Doctors education in india is at cross roads as there is conflict between MCI the supreme constitutionally appointed doctors body expected to give direction to education of physicians and the health minister and ministry controlled DNB Board.
Most doctors would support the more professionally managed and democratic MCI comparede to one man show of health ministry puppet DNB board. What do other doctors think?
270. Scrap the 2012 Olympics Logo Now!
I am creating this petition to allow people who think that the 2012 Olympic logo is complete pants, and should be scrapped to have their say.
Only by showing the creaters of this awful logo, (which also has health issues) how much we, the tax payers, dislike it, will there be any chance of getting rid of it.
