31. Virginia Tech outraged with Security on Campus, Inc complaint 
"A complaint filed to the Department of Education requests a review into the actions of a University during a security situation to ensure the safety of its students. The Clery Act, passed by congress in 1990, was spearheaded by the SOC Inc. founders after the loss of their daughter, Jeanne Clery, who was raped and murdered in her dorm room Lehigh University in 1986.
If Virginia Tech is proven to be negligent in their safety precautions during the events of April 16, the university could be fined up to $27,500 and be barred from federal financial aid in the future.
According to the Virginia Tech website, over 60% of students use some form of financial aid, including aid opportunities given by the Department of Education.
Federal financial aid accounts for more than $80 million a year to 14 million applicants".- The Collegiate Times
This is a petition that will be given to SOC Inc. for their senseless act of filing a complaint against Virginia Tech.
We know as a community and institution that our university has investigated their security measures and has taken action to prevent future incidents.
As you can read above, this organization would rather prevent the operation of our school and see us suffer more than provide support.
32. Protect RaoGhat Hills and the Mystical Tribals of Narainpur in Bastar District, Chhattisgarh
Raoghat needs to be protected if we have to save planet earth.
One of the Newpaper today stated that a MOU to plunder the Raoghat Hills will be signed at Delhi on 6th August,2007.
If at all this projects comes up it will be doomsday to the beautiful flaura and fauna and the rich culture and traditions of the Indigenous people residing in Bastar.
On 3rd july 2007 the Business Community of Narainpur District in North Bastar called for a "Bund"(closure) .The reason was the fight between the Business Communities of Narainpur and Antagarh District for the ownership of Raoghat Township once the Raoghat mines start.
This looks like a well planned conspiracy to divert the mind of the people from the real issues surrounding the RaoGhat Mines and the Rail Project.Is it because this project was rejected in the nineties by the Enviroment and Forest Ministry?Why the State Government feels that now when there is a worlwide concern to save Environment that they will get clearance from the Ministry?
Why are the sentiments of the Indigenous people being completely ignored?
Has anyone bothered to find out about the name "Rao Ghat"?According to the local belief Rao Ghat is home too the Creator of this world Lord "Raja Rao Natraj" and Goddess "Mata Maoli"(sister of Maa Danteshwari) and their family.
Not only the local people come here to worship daily but also they gather in large numbers throughout the year and take out "Jatra"(procession) of the God and Godess.Even lot of foreign tourist come here to enjoy the wonderful eco-system present at Rao Ghat.
So any mining at RaoGhat will be like destroying the God and Goddess of the Tribals thus will come under the SC/ST Atrocities Act of the Constitution of India.
Is the State Government planning a revolt by the Indigenous people so that they can kill and displace more tribals as they have been doing since the start of Salwa Judum??
Just because "Dalli Rajhara" mines are over Bhilai Steel plant now wants "Rao Ghat" mines.What will happen once the "Rao Ghat" mines are also exhausted?
Is it really the BSP which wants the mines or they are playing in the hands of Tata,Essar,Jindal and other Sponge Iron Units of Chhattisgarh? Afterall the "Bailadilla" mines in Dantewada District which belongs to the NMDC is now being allotted to the likes of Tata Steel,Essar Steel and other mining companies?
In the days of Global Warming,Tsunami and Weather Change do we really need to destroy the most beautiful and amazing eco-system still existing in RaoGhat?
Is BSP playing in the hands of Tata and Essar Steel?

The Locals in Raoghat area have strong belief in their God and Goddess and they feel that if RaoGhat is disturbed it will bring an end to the human race.

As per the provisions of the Constitution of India, the resolve of the village council is supreme in Bastar District. No body can play with the resolve of the tribal village council. However, contrary to those provisions, state government is acting as the agent of the private industrial houses, did not bothered to educate the tribals about the importance of public hearing at a village council to manage the favorable resolve of the village council.
33. Investing In Our Future Leaders
The parents, school faculty, and concerned citizens of McCormick County are asking for a new High School to be built.
The current High School is out-dated and over 5o years old.
The open campus is a high security risk for our students and faculty.
34. Improve Chichester Skatepark
This is a petition to show interest in development and change for Chichester Skatepark for its current and future users.
The Chichester Skatepark is in drastic need of improvement to be able to cater for the sheer quantity and level of it's current users. Currently the skatepark is dated, seldom maintained, and poorly constructed.
In comparison to council funded skateparks in the local area and nationwide, the Chichester Skatepark is seriously in need of change.
Improvements to the skatepark will mean:
- Current and future park users will be able to reach a higher skill level and be more likely to progress further in the industry.
- The park will bring in revenue to the city's tourism trade as more people will want to travel to use it.
- More children/youths participating in fun sports which means a healthier population.
- Fewer people resorting to street riding which means fewer complaints to the council.
- A skatepark that Chichester can be proud of and that it's users enjoy!
We are aiming to work very closely with the council to change the park for the better.

36. Nutrition on the curriculum
Human nutrition should be added to the secondary education curriculum. Children are encouraged to eat healthy and cook healthy, however they are not taught the why behind it, for example what function a nutrient has in the body, or the current guidelines.
Human nutrition is a vast subject concerning health, and food, the basis of existance. Society would benefit from learning about in detail.
They learn history... how will that benefit their future. This kind of education in the future will reduce diseases such as obesity, cancer, heart disease and diabetes, and in turn will be a the huge reduction in costs to the NHS and society.
The government needs to act now. Please sign, we need as many signitures as possible.

Warschauer Kniefall is a German term meaning "The Warsaw Genuflection (kneeling)", which refers to the incident on December 7, 1970, in which social democratic Chancellor of Germany Willy Brandt, while visiting a monument to the Nazi-era Warsaw Ghetto Uprising in the then communist Peoples Republic of Poland, very surprisingly, and to all appearances spontaneously, knelt. The occasion was the signing of the Treaty of Warsaw between West Germany and the Peoples Republic of Poland. Gloabl warming is being increased and has increased over the years. It is getting worse. We need to stop it.
Within the next 50 years our planet will start to flood and get so hot in the center our artic will possibily melt 50% which will cause 20 feet of water rise in every ocean.
We are causing this with everyday things vehicles, appliances, outlets, energy, electricity and there are several things that can be done to stop this.
41. keep JROTC in SF
JROTC has been a part of the San Francisco high schools for about 90 years, but as of November 14, 2006, the school board has decided to take it away from the high schools. The main concerns against JROTC is about the war and how JROTC is related to the ARMY. However, what people lack is knowledge and experience in the program.
Although JROTC is based on the ARMY, JROTC is a totally different program than what is learned in the ARMY and ROTC in college. It is true that we march, drill, and learn some ARMY values, but this is by no means a place of recruitment.
There is commitment like any other sports team, responsibility like a summer job, leadership like student government, community service like a volunteer club, first aid and CPR. Most importantly, there is a sense of family-- a bringing of everyone together.

For the SF school board to take away JROTC from SF high schools in the future would be ripping our family apart. There is no other program of my knowledge that has all of these features combined.

42. Support for recently fired MHW Wynsdey
On Friday the tenth of Novemeber Wynsdey was contacted at her home in regard to an alleged patients rights violation that occured, ironically, on Wednesday the eighth of November on the adolescent unit, Wynsdey's home unit.
There are more details to the actual events and the whole truth may never be fully known. To condense the situation to its barest facts and so as not to actually violate any patients rihgts I will paraphrase what facts I do know and understand to be true to the best of my knowledge. An adolescent patient was asked to take a time out. Some time while the patient was in the time out room the door to the tome out room was locked per patients statement to a patients rights advocate at the time of a PCH the following day. The patient stated that it was Wynsdey that locked the door. Wynsdey flattly denies doing any such thing.
Administration was contacted by patients rights and administration decided to fire Wynsdey, apparently without any investigation as to what might have actually happened.
With such action as the adminisrtation has taken in this matter it should be noted by all signing this petition that there jobs are as tenuous as the next patients accusations. You may, however, elect to be anonymous on the public display list on this site.
It may be wise for the employees of Las Encinas Hospital to consider finding a union to represent them to disuade any such possible wrongful terminations in the future.
43. Clemency For Stray Dogs and Cats

It is hereby requested for the immediate consideration of the future of stray dogs and cats.
With stray dogs and cats' complete concern and welfare considered it is hereby requested for the state of Missouri to mandate for ALL person(s) to be required to be responsible for their pet(s). This to be accomplished by the following:
(1) To list on yearly personal property in each county the total number of dogs, puppies, cats, kittens. For each dog, puppy, cat, kitten spayed/neutered, personal property tax WILL BE EXEMPT. Each dog, puppy, cat, kitten NOT spayed/neutered will be assessed personal property tax of 5 per cent of total personal property.
NOTE: This tax will be placed in a special fund to be used by city pounds/county shelters/humane societies to spay/neuter their strays.
END RESULT - Future strays will not be born to end up alongside country roads to die or to breed with other strays. City Pounds, shelters/humane societies will not be overrun with these unwanted strays.
44. A Fair Deal for Millbrook Community School
In a pre-statutory consultation exercise early in 2006, Southampton's stakeholders in education were asked to respond to a set of 3 alternative proposals concerning the future of Millbrook Community School and Oaklands Community School.
All 3 proposals involved the merger of the two schools to form a new school. This was accepted as necessary given the falling rolls across the city.
On 25 May, the Southern Daily Echo reported that the proposal had been changed, without consultation, to one in which only Millbrook closes. Many of the arguments used to back up the proposal are ill-founded and prejudiced.
Closure only of Millbrook will ensure that the pupils and staff there will not get a fair deal. As staff look for a new employment they will leave and will not be replaced except by supply staff. Pupils' quality of education will be adversely affected. This is unfair to pupils who have helped the school become one of the 100 best schools in the country for pupil progress between Years 7 and 9.
Southampton City Council must demonstrate that "every child matters" by not allowing any proposal to be considered that sacrifices the education of one group of pupils for any reason.

1. Remove all Federal Gas Tax - This would remove a lot of congressional spending waste and "pork-barrel". This tax was initiated to create our federal interstates in 1932! And is no longer needed yet Congress continues to take the tax and spend the money generated on everything except building interstates. We feel this would begin to ease the burden on the consumer.
The Federal Tax on gas is currently 18.4 cents per gallon which adds approx. $3.50 per tank of gas.

Allow ANWAR and Other Areas to be drilled for Oil - Currently we have more Oil available for drilling than the Middle East Countries combined however, a minority group of environmentalists have been able to scare the U.S. Government and take the U.S. Public hostage by not allowing us to utilize our own natural resources. Because of this policy we have become hostage to Radical Religious Fanatics and dependant on Countries which wish our destruction (remember 9/11).
Currently the Chinese, among others are drilling for oil just a few miles off the coast of Florida however, the U.S. is forbidden to drill there because of the Far Left Wing Environmentalists! We are loosing our resources to other countries because of our unbelievable policies which, it's sad to say, even other countries find incomprehensible.
Even Fidel Castro says he may start drilling there and we can't! That means that a Chinese company is or will be drilling for oil and gas within 50 miles of the U.S. coast even though under U.S. policy American energy companies are barred from drilling along most areas of the U.S. coast.
The Saudi crown prince was quoted a while back stating that they "would never use oil as a weapon". Just stating that alone, should be warning enough that we cannot afford to wait, we need to take action NOW! Nobody knows for certain how much oil there is in ANWAR, except that most in the know believe there is a lot. It will take about two years to get the first quart of crude flowing south. We need to start drilling right now, in the hope that we will have it when we need it.
It seems pretty unreasonable not to have the ability to utilize our own resource here, especially in view of the true environmental cost which really is zero. The reality is that only 2000 - of 6 million acres - (one half of one percent) of the wildlife refuge would be impacted, and as seen with the pictures of wildlife all around the existing pipeline the facts show the wildlife is not effected.

3. Remove Oil from the Commodities Market - Oil like Electricity is a NEED, not a luxury. Every U.S, Citizen needs gas to drive and heating oil to survive the winter exactly like Electricity, yet you do not see the price of Electricity being manipulated in the stock market like Oil is! One other point: Oil Speculation hurts the U.S. however, it hurts even the more the poorer nations of the world and should be stopped if for no other reason than that.

This Petition is to help save Phil of the Future and try to stop it being cancelled.
I think its not fair that That So Raven gets a longer time on the air than Lizzie Mcguire, Phil of the Future and many more Tv Shows. I think all tv shows should have the same amount of episodes.
47. Shiima Xion Newcomer of the Year 2005
In the year 2004 AD, a trashy Filipino male supermodel named Shiima Xion debuted in the International Wrestling Cartel. Shiima put on stellar performance after stellar performance in IWC throughout the remainder of 2004 and even more so in 2005. IWC rightfully nominated Shiima as a contender for the "2004 Newcomer of the Year" award.
Shiima won the award in a landslide victory, but somehow ended up sharing that victory with his then arch-rival, Jason Gory (aka angry mime). Rumor has it that Jason Gory simply voted for himself on every computer in his school computer lab...twice! (he erased cookies on every freakin PC) which led to the tie occuring. Shiima, irate and confused, chose to disregard Gory's attempts at stealing his spotlight, and proceeded to declare himself the official Newcomer of the Year.
For whatever reason, IWC promoter Norm Connors booked a match on July 29th, 2005 between Gory and Shiima to determine the undisputed 2004 Newcomer of the Year. Shiima lost to Gory on that night, and unwillingly passed his 2004 Newcomer of the Year torch to the little fairy boy. Since that loss, Shiima Xion has received an IWC World Title shot, IWC Tag Title shots, IWC International Title shots, and wrestled in notable promotions such as Chikara and Pro Wrestling Unplugged. What has the "undisputed" Newcomer of the Year done since winning the award? Well..he won the Tex-Arkana Title for a couple seconds. Enough Said.
Shiima Xion proved in 2005 that he is once again deserving of a nomination for the Newcomer of the Year. Some may say, "Shiima isn't a newcomer anymore, though." Understandable, but one must remember that Shiima Xion is a supermodel. How is that relevent? Simple. A supermodel never gets old, never gets routine, never gets stale...and is ALWAYS in season. In November 2005, the United Nations will meet to discuss the Kyoto Protocol at the 11th Conference of the Parties (CoP-11). This meeting will also be the first time that the UN has met after the ratification of the Kyoto Protocol (MoP-1).
At this landmark event, we would like the UN to recognize the concerns of Youth of the Arctic.
Declaration on Climate Change from Youth of the Arctic.
We, youth from the Circumpolar North, realize that the world is facing a threat unlike anything ever experienced before in human history. Here in the Arctic, where the impacts of climate change are happening at an accelerated rate, we feel our physical environment, our culture, and our spirituality, are being disrupted. Sea ice is melting, coastlines are exposed and degrading, and species are at risk. Communities are being forced to give up land based traditions and Traditional Knowledge is being lost. Indigenous Peoples 'ways of being' continue to be threatened.
Our ecosystems are disturbed; we are vulnerable.
The science surrounding our changing climate has now existed for the same amount of time that we have been alive. Arguing the validity of climate change science is no longer worthwhile- it is now time to act - and act with conviction.
We are supporting research on impacts, mitigation and adaptation to climate change. We are encouraging our peers and our communities to become informed and engaged. Individually, we are taking responsibility for our actions. By reducing our personal greenhouse gas emissions, engaging in activities with lower environmental impacts, and making conscious choices, we are reflecting the world we want to live in.
We are challenging fossil fuel development such as the proposed drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in Alaska, United States, the proposed Mackenzie Pipeline Project in Northwest Territories of Canada and oil drilling in Lensky region of Russia's Sakha Republic. We see the importance in taking steps now to lay a foundation for change that will reach far into the future.
The global community has come a long way in a short time. Thank-you to the United Nations for its Framework Convention on Climate Change. The Kyoto Protocol is a step in the right direction. Thank you for the considerable work carried out by the International Panel on Climate Change. Thank you to the Arctic Council for the Arctic Climate Impact Assessment and to Snowchange for their conference on Northern Indigenous and Local Community Observations of Climate and Ecological Change. These provide critical insight and raise international awareness about the situation of the North.
However, we are concerned that the work being done is not enough. We are concerned that science is not being met with awareness, and plans are not being met with action. More effort needs to be invested by individuals, communities, and governments, if the world is to reduce or reverse the impacts of climate change. We are concerned that the public at large is still unaware and uncertain of the threats of climate change. How can people be motivated to take positive action unless they understand the urgency of the situation?
The economy should no longer come before health and well being. Full cost accounting, or more socially and ecologically based accounting mechanisms should be developed and integrated. Long-term vision needs to be incorporated into climate change response plans, recognizing that political and business timelines are too short.
We would like to help you move forward with a multi-generational, multi-disciplinary vision. We will lobby for climate change to be taught in schools so that today's children are climate change literate and are armed with the tools to act. We will continue to inform the public about climate change and its effects. We will learn to adapt to climate change in a way that considers the impacts of our solutions on the seven generations ahead of us. Our generations are linked, just as the Arctic is linked to the rest of the world. Choices made in the present will exponentially affect the future.

49. Combat Veterans Tuition Waiver
Young Men and Women are sent to war protecting the "American Values" Their hope is to return home and reintergrate and pick up where they left off. Soon these young enlisted men and women find themself fighting another personal battle; how to intergrate and how to complete their Education.

51. Abolish School Budget Votes
The only State Budget that is decided and voted on by the people is the School Budget. Tax increases occur all the time to support all other areas of New York State run "businesses", without a vote from the people.
The one and only budget that supports children and their education is the School Budget and this is voted on by the people and can be rejected. This is discriminatory and unconstitutional!
Children have a constitutional right to a strong, appropriate, and free education, yet if a School Budget fails they lose. Prisoners have more rights than children. We do not vote on a budget that supplies prisoners with the supplies they need and they broke the law. Prisoners are guilty of a crime and are paying the price based on our law of the land. But what price are we paying? What price are the children paying? Why are the innocent children and future of this State paying a higher price than the lawbreakers? Why is the law unfair and discriminatory?
This needs to stop now! The State Legislators need to find a formula that provides schools the appropriate funding that is necessary to perform the duties the State mandates. The passionless contract killer Agent 47 has risen as one of the greatest assassins in game entertainment history. His persona, that of a intelligent and silent killer has been most alarmingly been matched with the actor Vin Diesel as was announced by "comingsoon.net". In the interest in respecting the character of Agent 47 in any sort of cinematic rendition of him, it is the purpose of this petition to ensure Vin Diesel is replaced with an actor to better represent Hitman.
David Bateson the actor who performed voice acting for Hitman 47 in a variety of Hitman game titles seems to be a popular choice among those most familiar with 47's background.
Regardless of the actor those hereby signed and I plead to those parties involved that Vin Diesel is not made Hitman in a future game releases associated with the Hitman series and secondly not with any Movie based on Hitman.
53. Improved education standards for Allentown
In years gone by we have had an excellant standard of eduation. However, this is decling rapidly.
Our taxes keep going up, yet the quality of our educational institutions keeps declining. The people of the city of Allentown would like to have a guarentee that our hard earned tax dollars will go toward the improvement of the future of our students.
Instead of dividing the money between all the school, lets focus our attention on one school per year. We want to see some real results or else there is no reason to raise our taxes again. We do not want to continue to allow Section 8 housing to drain the economic funds of this city.
After developing and researching a civilian participation project on global warming and it's effect we realized the hazards and dangers that we are currently facing and more to come in the future.
We want your support for advocating our president Mr. Bush to enact the Kyoto Protocol and help the public be aware and educated of the current situation of global warming.
55. Cleaner more ozone friendly energy sources
I know that it is very much need that we start taking more action to help save our ozone layer if we dont do something about this we will have global warming on our hands and everyone will be dead. I propose that we start using more ozone friendly resourses as power instead of fossil fuel. These resourses could include wind power, water power, clean electric power but it sould not be limited to these three. I really think we NEED to do this because if we dont then global warming will kill us all.
I want to live to see many more days without having to worry about this and i think that we sould really start thinking about the big picture: Can we go on doing what we are doing and not have this happen in the possible near future. I hope you take this as seriously as I do because I want are children to have a future.
56. RE-INTRODUCE RELIGIOUS EDUCATION IN OUR PUBLIC SCHOOLS
Religious Education (from here on referred to as RE) plays a significant role in molding the lives of our youth today. From the teachings received during RE sessions, youths will be assured of good moral, ethical and spiritual teaching. This will go along way in curbing the wrong doings that are evident in our country due to the behavioral pattern of our children. To withhold RE from our youth, is to allow the devil into our schools. Having heard counsel, and received instruction, our children and youth will be made wise for their future state according to Proverbs 19:20.
Change in our society will not come tomorrow, but one thing we know for sure, it will come in the future if we target the young. Religious Education needs an urgent re-introduction in our schools, for if we forget God, our nation is doomed.

58. Loan Funds but DO NOT Give Funds to IRAQ
Why are we giving away $$87 billion+?
Why exactly are we giving away 87 billion to Iraq this time and who knows how much in the future in the form of a gifts instead of a loans? Would such a kingly gift be better appreciated our elderly in the form of healthcare and prescription drugs? Perhaps OUR electrical grid could be repaired for a paltry 50 billion?
These large gifts add to the deficit so in effect we are taking out a loan to give away with little hope of repayment.
It has been said business will prosper when the Iraqi infrastructure is repaired and improved. Business in Iraq will not necessarily benefit the US. There is no longer a mandate that we use US corporations or company's to re contract the rebuilding of Iraq. How would we benefit from for example; Spending 2 billion restoring Iraq's oil production so an offshore Oil Corp. can sell oil to France?
The potential for abuse is far less with a loan. Loans would encourage individual accountability and curb a "spend it because we got it" mentality among "gift" recipients. Loans greater accountability factor would discourage influence buying and enhance efficient competition among contractors.
For a long time now, we have had John Howard as Australia's Prime Minister. During this time, we have been involved in a war the country did not agree with, we have had the GST (good and services tax) come in, and the list of levys and extra taxes are rising with each day we have John Howard in power.
Mr Howard does not listen to the people, and anyone who wastes taxpayers money and does not make decisions according to what the people want for their country should not be running it.
