4. The NFL Must Tackle Human/Sex Trafficking

Gov. Mitch Daniels signed the Human Trafficking Bill into law January 30, 2012, saying he hopes it will “put up the ‘Don’t Try It Here’ sign in Indiana” just in time for a game that Indiana Attorney General Greg Zoeller says has a history of attracting increased activity in the commercial sex trade.

“Let’s hope that the law has a deterrent effect,” Daniels said, “and that these criminals will take their horrible business somewhere else.”

The law, which took effect immediately upon the governor affixing his signature, closes loopholes that have made it tougher for Indiana to prosecute those who have helped sell children into sexual slavery.
It also strikes a provision of state law that required prosecutors to prove that those who are accused of coercing children into sexual slavery used or threatened to use physical force to do so.

Advocates said it was the one step Indiana absolutely had to take before the game.

He know now the following statistics:

* Each year 1 million children are exploited by the commercial sex trade according to the U.S. Department of State, The Facts About Child Sex Tourism: 2005

* 100,000 to 293,000 U.S. children are in danger of becoming sexual commodities, according to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children

* 12 is the average age of entry into pornography and prostitution in the U.S., according to The US Department of Justice Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section

* 33% of a sample group of female commercial sex workers in Chicago began in the sex trade between the ages of 12 and 15, with 56% being 16 or younger according to an investigation conducted by Schiller DuCanto& Fleck Family Law Center.

With the Super Bowl comes this crime-sex trafficking

We ask the Commissioner of The National Football League "if your part of the problem, your against the solution" ! Be part of the solution and promote awareness of this global problem that follows the Super Bowl by advertising against the insidious crime that comes to large sporting events like the Super Bowl

5. Call for Justice: Investigation into the New Year's Coptic Church Massacre

Minutes into 2011 a terrorist attack culminating in an explosion outside the Two Saints Church in Alexandria resulted in the loss of 21 lives and the severe injury of more than 100 worshippers. The Families of the victims and many Egyptians wish to express their disillusionment in that over 9 months have passed since this tragic event without prosecution or serious investigation of this hideous crime.

There is a growing feeling that the apparent unwillingness to make any concerted attempts to bring those responsible to justice could be a major contributing factor in the sudden increase attacks against Copts.

Only justice can end the daily suffering and anguish of the families, and this must be seen to be done promptly and with undue delay.

Accordingly we call for:

9. Keep prayers at public events - Your voice counts!

They want to ban the prayer spoken at public events! “School Prayers Targeted” headlines scream on front page of the Chattanooga Times Free Press newspaper, dated Wed. Oct. 20, 2010. The “Freedom from Religion Foundation" is demanding local school leaders to eliminate prayer at public events. They claim, by them hearing prayers over the use of loudspeakers at football games, graduation ceremonies etc. is an "unconstitutional government-endorsed form of religion." I agree with Jim Rogers, a parent of a local Hamilton County student who boldly stated, "Public Christian prayer falls under the right of free speech." He stated, "Our country was founded on the principle of religious suffrage and the freedom to express that religion. God is incorporated in our money, the oath of office, our legal system, and in the Pledge of Allegiance. You cannot find one aspect of our secular government that doesn't make reference to our Creator."

I was astounded after exploring “Freedom from Religion Foundations” web site. Using unified solicitations; “One person can make a difference." Encouraging slogans “Make a Difference” as they quote the powerful words of Thomas Paine; "Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom must undergo the fatigue… of supporting it." Freedom from Religion Foundations is only 30 yrs old yet holds the most trophies for eliminating “God” from “Government” than any other foundation. They call us hypocrites, mocking the very existence and substance of God, the Creator of this marvelous, spectacular planet, twisting HIS truth for the use of destruction and slander against God’s glory and purpose.

This warfare against God is not new, nor is it a new technique, the Bible tells many stories of this same enemy…I realize winning this petition, and keeping our “right to verbally pray before public events” does not stop nor silence the enemy of God; however it will prevent us from losing our constitutional rights to exercise our freedom of religion to pray out loud wherever, whenever, however, we desire!

Stand together & refuse to let some half-witted enemy without foundation of any faith or principle dictate that we have to participate in “silencing” our voice! Our Saviors blood fell on this earth giving us the covenant of God’s benefits and blessing. Do not seal your mouth with fear, slothfulness, nor listen to lies that your voice will not make a difference – even the enemy agrees one person can make a difference! According to Phil 2:1-10… how much more powerful are we when we lift our voices in unity, like minded, with the same love, same purpose… as we await for the day that every knee shall bow, every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord! Sign this petition! Proudly enter your name, city, and state and sign this petition. Spread it around… together will not surrender due to our silence!

11. Return Prayer Back Into Our Schools

12. Stop state funding of faith schools

This petition demands that the government stops the state-funding of all faith schools.

The tax collected from the public should not be spent in funding faith schools that may be contrary to the religious or atheist beliefs of those from whom the tax was collected.

Where religion is taught, it is the right of every pupil to learn of all mainstream religions and atheist belief, without bias, pressure and influence, in accordance with Article 9 of the Human Rights Convention 1998. No child should be forced to participate in any religious practise.

This petition is for the right of a pupil to learn of a variety of religions and choose or practise a religion if he/she likes without the objection of the school.
This is not a petition against religious education but against state-funded faith schools, which indoctrinate children in a particular religion.

To quote Richard Dawkins;

"There are nearly 7,000 state-funded faith schools in England. These schools have many special privileges – they can select pupils on the basis of parents’ religious observance, discriminate on religious grounds in the employment of teachers, and teach their own RE syllabus, free of Ofsted supervision and free of any National Curriculum. By the way, RE is the only subject (together with religiously ‘sensitive’ subjects like Sex Education) for which there is no National Curriculum.

Some faith schools, as I discovered while making my recent television documentary, use their state-subsidized freedoms to undermine the teaching of science. It should be unthinkable in the 21st century to have a state-funded school whose science teachers believe the world is less than 10,000 years old, yet that is what I found. And at a school that is little short of a flagship for state-funded Muslim education, I found the pupils regurgitating the Koranic claim that salt and fresh water do not mix. Once again, with the blessing of the teachers, a Holy Book takes unquestioned precedence over scientific evidence – as the pupils could have discovered for themselves in a trivially easy experiment."

Children have the right of free choice to follow whichever religion they choose, without pressure and coersion, and to make this choice at whatever point in their life they are informed and mature enough to do so.

15. Bring Prayer Back To Public Schools

Prayer in Schools .. For and Against. (By Carol Brooks)

Much has been said both for and against prayer in schools. There is little doubt that neither the founding fathers nor the Lord Jesus Himself would have been in favour of ‘forced’ or ‘state sponsored’ prayer. The option to pray or not to pray is a matter of individual choice and has to come from the heart. It is a matter of some doubt whether the actual doing away of prayer in schools has directly contributed to the escalation of teen-age pregnancies and suicides and the downward spiral of the SAT scores. The Pharisees thought they would be heard for their ‘much speaking’, and similarly it is questionable as to how much value there is in a ‘canned’ prayer even if recited by thousands of young people across the country. (Consider that most schools in India start their day with a very generic prayer, similar to the one that sparked the U.S. Supreme court’s decision on the Engels v. Vitale case in 1962).

However the indisputable statistics in the following article are too frightening to be ignored and, even more damningly, the downward slide in behavior started about the time of the court decision and very evidently had something to do with it. As we see it, the court ruling to remove prayer from the school system was nothing more than the ‘official’ stamp on the removal of God from a very crucial part of our society. It was simply one large step among many small ones, which has contributed to the moral & spiritual disintegration of the US. It was a flying leap across the narrow chasm separating a God fearing moral country and the chaotic ‘everything goes’ situation we find ourselves in today. The message the Supreme Court sent to the country that fateful day was that it was okay to ‘remove’ God from His rightful place.

Remove the fear of God from the human heart, whitewash the reality that all of us will face and answer to a supremely moral Being sooner or later, eliminate the concept that He demands adherence to His laws and it is but a short step to the deterioration of the cornerstone of society… The Family. With the fear of God done away with there is no longer any reason to treat the marriage vows as sacred, to bring up God-fearing children. From there it is an even shorter step to all the other sinister and evil circumstances we find ourselves in today…. Teen pregnancies, violent crime, suicide, drugs and alcohol abuse are the very logical fruits of a society that has forgotten that He is a God of wrath.

The US Supreme Court was simply another tool, a very effective tool, in Satan’s hand.
ALEDO, TX (FR) - How did the removal of voluntary prayer from the schools of the United States affect our nation as a whole? That question has been answered in detail by a research company in Texas which has gathered and tabulated statistics from hundreds of sources relating to the rates of moral decline in America.

Specialty Research Associates, under the direction of David Barton, has released a report entitled America: To Pray or Not to Pray which uses over 100 pages of graphs and statistical analysis to prove that crime, venereal disease, premarital sex, illiteracy, suicide, drug use, public corruption, and other social ills began a dramatic increase after the Engel vs. Vitale Supreme Court decision was made in 1962 which banned school prayer.

Prayer in schools prior to 1962 was utilized in school districts all over the U.S. in many varieties. Some teachers used extemporaneous prayers, simply expressing their thoughts and desires; others implemented structured prayers, such as the Lord's Prayer or the 23rd Psalm, or others approved by local school boards. New York students prayed each day: "Almighty God, we acknowledge our dependence on Thee and beg Thy blessing over us, our parents, our teachers, and our nation." It was this simple prayer which came under fire and went to the Supreme Court for the landmark decision.

Says David Barton, "It is impossible to know how many of the 39 million children were involved in daily verbal prayers, but most accounts indicate that a clear majority of the students voluntarily participated in daily school prayer. Is it possible that the prayers that were being offered by these children and their teachers across the nation actually had any measurable, tangible effect?"

It was this question that led Barton to uncover the statistical proof that the removal of prayer did indeed take its toll on America. Below are just a few of the examples featured in Barton's report.

A. Young People

1. For 15 years before 1963 pregnancies in girls ages 15 through 19 years had been no more than 15 per thousand After 1963 pregnancies increased 187% in the next 15 years.

2. For younger girls, ages 10 to 14 years, pregnancies since 1963 are up 553%.

3. Before 1963 sexually transmitted diseases among students were 400 per 100,000. Since 1963, they were up 226% in the next 12 years.

B. The Family

1. Before 1963 divorce rates had been declining for 15 years. After 1963 divorces increased 300% each year for the next 15 years.

2. Since 1963 unmarried people living together is up 353%

3. Since 1963 single parent families are up 140%.

4. Since 1963 single parent families with children are up 160%.

C. Education

1. The educational standard of measure has been the SAT scores. SAT scores had been steady for many years before 1963. From 1963 they rapidly declined for 18 consecutive years, even though the same test has been used since 1941.

2. In 1974-75 the rate of decline of the SAT scores decreased, even though they continued to decline. That was when there was an explosion of private religious schools. There were only 1000 Christian schools in 1965. Between 1974 to 1984 they increased to 32,000.

a. That could have an impact if the private schools had higher SAT scores. In checking with the SAT Board it was found that indeed the SAT scores for private schools were nearly 100 points higher than public schools.

b. In fact the scores were at the point where the public schools had been before their decline started in 1963 when prayer and Bible reading/ instruction was removed from the schools.

c. The scores in the public schools were still declining.

3. Of the nation's top academic scholars, three times as many come from private religious schools, which operate on one-third the funds as do the public schools.

D. The Nation

1. Since 1963 violent crime has increased 544%.

3. Illegal drugs have become an enormous & uncontrollable problem.

2. The nation has been deprived of an estimated 30 million citizens through legal abortions just since 1973.

It is also more than slightly disturbing that prayer has been taken out of schools yet there are so many instances where religion and the existence of God are recognized by the government. For example:

Each day's session of the Supreme Court starts with the invocation: "God save the United States and this Honorable Court."

The National Anthem, "The Star Spangled Banner" contains the words "Praise the Pow'r that hath made and preserved us a nation."

The National Motto is "In God we Trust." [See Article]

The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag contains the words "one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

The Declaration of Independence includes the phrase: "with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence."

This petition is not to make students pray but to at least present them the opportunity to do so.

16. 'Taking the Lead' campaign - Let's make it happen in 2010!

'Taking the Lead' is a project that will offer free neutering, micro-chipping and free dog discs to all dogs from local authority housed families within the NCC (Norwich City Council) area. The increased number of stray dogs is providing a huge problem, particularly with Bull Terrier breeds and their crosses.

Across the country thousands of young Staffies and Staffy crosses are being destroyed. Every 80 minutes an unwanted/homeless dog is put to sleep. If NCC and FAITH work together we can begin to control the situation in the Norwich area and hopefully "lead the way" for similar campaigns across the country.

Unfortunately after encouraging beginnings way back in June 2008 and a draft leaflet being drawn up in 2009, all communication with Norwich City Council came to a grinding halt. With phone calls and emails no longer being returned. For further information please visit our news section at www.faithanimalrescue.co.uk/whatsnew.

17. THE TREATY OF FAITHS

THIS TREATY IS PROTECTED BY U.S. COPYRIGHT TX-16017 & U.S. COPYRIGHT, INTERNAL TRACKING # TX-99399

To ask the U.S. Government to develop a TREATY OF FAITHS. The objective, to join hands with all faiths to tell the world that we are love, and that we recognize our unique beliefs and will attempt to stop judging each other. All Church Leaders should talk to their constituencies and tell them that interfaith judgement should stop, and that tolerance and understanding heal our faiths, heal us, and lead us to understand that we are unique and can work next to each other in love. I would like to see this happen as a Worldwide endeavor, a true Universal occurrence. If we did this, it would be the first in history, and all people would agree to stop persecuting each other due to their Faith, their Spiritual beliefs, or Life choices (Re: Abortion. Ex: to disagree is one thing. To hurt or maim is another.)Churches of all Faiths should state that holding one's beliefs is beloved, but to act upon or judge another based on Faith or Life Choices cannot happen.

WE MUST FACE OUR LOVE.
WE MUST FACE OURSELVES.

WE MUST FACE OUR BELOVED CHURCHES, HOLD HANDS, AND REALIZE WE ARE NOT SO VERY DIFFERENT AFTER ALL. WE MUST SIGN A TREATY TO END JUDGEMENTAL PERSECUTION OF PEOPLE ON THIS EARTH. AND IT MUST BE A TREATY BETWEEN ALL PEOPLES, FORGED IN LOVE, TO BE MAINTAINED KNOWING WE ARE A UNIQUE BEAUTIFUL RACE, AND THAT TRUE RACE IS HUMANITY ITSELF.

If we understand this, and start the petition in the United States, and we set the example, we might also be able to reach out worldwide to find a way to touch all Religious Traditions in love. We will submit this petition to the U.S. Government and ask for GLOBAL RECOGNITION of a TREATY OF FAITHS that will attempt to heal our Nation, heal our people, and, hopefully, eventually, the World itself. Once we have forged the TREATY OF FAITHS, we will ask the U.S. Government to build THE CHURCH OF LOVE in Washington D.C., to set a new precedent for Love in our world. This church would respect all religions, all faiths, and all philosophies. The Church of Love’s true
Philosophy, that Love and the perfection of our own souls be first and foremost, and that love bind and connect all religions in Respect and Beauty. It would support the beliefs of all people, and demonstrate that all people on this earth are born and remain equal. 18. Against Danish papers printing blasphemous cartoons

20. Third Watch Reunion

Third Watch's Faith Yokas (Molly Price) has been through a lot. She's survived breast cancer, a punctured lung, a bullet lodged in her spine, an alcoholic husband, his heart attack, being taken hostage while off-duty shopping with her daughter and her daughter's drug overdose. Then there's her hot-headed 'super-cop' partner, Boscorelli (Jason Wiles) and all of the complications he brings to her job.

Throughout it all, Faith has remained the one constant, true to herself and true to the law. In the new season of Third Watch, she is sorely tested both personally and professionally. Her entanglement with Sergeant Maritza Cruz (Tia Texada) puts Faith on the wrong side of the law, but leads to a surprise promotion. Meanwhile, her philandering husband serves her with divorce papers as her domestic life crumbles.

This season, actor Josh Stewart joins the cast as Brendan Finney, the no-nonsense son of the head of Internal Affairs who causes ructions within the department. The police officers also deal with a tough new lieutenant who goes strictly by the books but hides a dark secret. However, his dark new secret has nothing on one of the existing members of the 55th precinct's secret. There's a rat in the house - how long can that rat stay hidden?

New to the paramedic unit is Grace Foster (Cara Buono), an occasionally dismissive and arrogant transfer from another precinct who has already alienated a few of her colleagues and attracted the interest of one, no prizes for guessing who. The love interests of cocky medic Carlos Nieto (Ruivivar) continue to amuse as he assists newly promoted Kim Zambrano (Raver) as she takes on the lead paramedic responsibilities. Kim also receives shocking personal news that jeopardises her new role.

Just across the street, the police of the 55th precinct arrive for the third watch, the shift from 3.00 - 11.00pm daily. The usual suspects appear, streetwise long-time cop John "Sully" Sullivan (Skipp Sudduth), headstrong Ty Davis Jr. (Coby Bell), single mum Sasha Monroe (Nia Long), the overly aggressive Bosco (Wiles) and elite Anti-crime Unit Sergeant Maritza Cruz (Texada). Each cope with the never-ending stress of the job, alongside stalwart officer Faith Yokas (Price). This season poses more stress than ever for this tight-knit group as IAB begin to close down on their department, determined get Cruz off the street.

Third Watch was CANCELLED IN 2005 by NBC.

22. The removal of "In God We Trust" from currency of the United States

Looking at the world around us, the last thing we need to do is take God out of the mix.

We live in a world of drug abuse, murders, and chlid abuse (just to name a few). The foundation this nation was built on has withstood the test of time.

25. Outlaw "door stepping" by religious groups in the UK

Like millions of people in the UK, I loathe the sanctimonious religious fanatics who insist on knocking on *my* front door, invading my territory and attempting to convert me to their faith.

As a gay man, I find this particularly harrassing since religious attitudes towards gay people are well known. You would not allow a Neo-Nazi to knock on a Jewish family's front door, nor would you allow the Klu Klux Klan to boldly state thier opinions on the front steps of a Black family home.

These people irritate and cause grave offence to many people and I beleive the practice of doorstepping should be outlawed.

If people want to know more about any given faith, they are more than capable of finding information for themselves.

26. Keep the Pledge of Allegiance!

The words "under God" were added to the Pledge of Allegiance in 1954 to show
the world the stark contrast between the United States of America and the
Communist regime. The words were added because the United States is truly
a nation under God. Our country was built on the principles and foundations
of the Judeo-Christian faith. The men who created our government were men
of strong faith. In establishing this country, they understood the inherent
rights that God, their Creator, gave to all men. The Declaration of
Independence states that certain truths are self-evident. These truths are
"that all men were created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator
with certain unalienable rights . . . ." The Declaration states very boldly
that the United States of America were appealing to the "Supreme Judge" and
that they had a "firm reliance on Divine Providence."

Why is it that a majority of Americans can grasp this concept but that men
educated in the law of this country, the very law stemming from these
principles, cannot? Throughout our history, this country has turned to
Almighty God, our Creator, for guidance and comfort in times of struggle.
In 1775, the Continental Congress called on the Colonies to pray for wisdom in
forming this great nation. At the close of the War for Independence, George
Washington directed his chaplain to offer a prayer of thanksgiving. In 1863
President Lincoln declared a day of humiliation, fasting and prayer. When
Pearl Harbor was attacked the President called on the country to pray.
During the years following World War II when this country was fighting the
Cold War, "In God we Trust" was adopted as our national motto. When Apollo
13 was disabled in space the President called on the country to pray. In
1988 President Reagan signed a bill declaring a National Day of Prayer. In
Desert Storm every soldier received a copy of the 91st Psalm. President Clinton called on this country to pray when the tragedy at Columbine Highschool occurred. And on September 11, 2001, this country experienced a tragedy that was unlike anything we had seen since Pearl Harbor and it was to God that this country turned. President Bush called on people across this nation to pray, a memorial service was televised across the country including many prayers, and many members of Congress, Republicans and Democrats alike, gathered on the steps of the capitol building to sing, "God Bless America."

But on June 26, 2002, a majority of two judges decided that we are no longer
"one Nation under God." This court action is an outrage. It flies in
the face of our national history and traditions.

28. Battle.net global Roolback

As of Friday afternoon EST there was a metheod released to the general public, on duping items based on closed realm characters. Since this point and time the diablo economy has been crippled and honest player moral has been crushed. Many members have given up diablo all together. And many more refuse to purchase anymore games from Blizzard, as they have so far shown no real acknoledgement of it exsistance, nor have they shown a willingness or a plan of action, which we as dedicated players demand on there part. We want them to act responsibly and fix this problem and to return the game back to a playable state.

29. Repeal New York State's Immunity Laws

The New York State Social Services Law Article 6, Title 6, Section 419 relating to Child Protective Services are unjust, ineffective, and racially biased.

This law requires ANY person, doctor, daycare, deadbeat parent, or stranger to telephone the New York State Central Registry Child Abuse Hotline to make an anonymous call to accuse a parent of child abuse or neglect WHETHER TRUE OR NOT.

The New York State Social Services Law Article 6, Title 6, Section 419 relating to Child Protective Services are unjust, ineffective, and racially biased.

When a telephone call is made to the New York State Central Registry Child Abuse Hotline. The person on the phone does not have to leave a name, just an allegation that a parent is abusing or neglecting their children. No proof or evidence is required.

Calls are only accepted by the accuser. Parents who have children in foster care are prevented from making this same call to the hotline.

This law states that an accuser shall have immunity from any liability, civil or criminal. No one is held accountable for making false allegations.

The harshest provision of the child protective laws are that children be removed from the biological home and placed in a strange foster care setting. Non-abused children are subjected to physical and sexual abuse by strangers daily.

73% of the children who are in foster care are African American, they spend an average of four years in foster care. 2% of the children in foster care are White. The remaining children are catagorized as other or Hispanic.

African-American children are overwhemingly penalized and removed from their homes without any prior evidence of parental wrongdoing.

The penalties apply without regard to the circumstances or the individual's character or background, making it irrelevant whether the parent is actually an abuser or not.

The racially disproportionate nature of the immunity law is not just devastating to African-Americans.

It contradicts faith in the principles of justice and equal protection of the laws that should be the bedrock of any constitutional democracy; it exposes and deepens the racial fault lines that continue to weaken the country and belies its promise as the land of equal opportunity; and it undermines faith among all races in the fairness and efficacy of the justice system.

30. Change conflicting policies between Religion and School at ESD

For those unfamiliar with the faith of Islam, one of the many traditions followed by believers of this faith is to grow the beard at fist length (from the chin), and to trim the hair around the upper lip and face. Several passages and sayings (Qu'rran, Hadith),
dictate this as divine law. Recently, a young man of Islamic faith reached the age at which it was deemed appropriate for him to carry out this expression faith. Knowing the school's policy of "no facial hair", he very considerately wrote a letter to several
members of the administration, asking for permission to grow his beard to fist length. He was turned down.

Some would argue that an Episcopalian school reserves the right to deny non-Christian forms of religious expression. However, ESD has chosen, of their own volition, to admit students of non-Christian faith to the school.

The following is a verbatim copy of the mission statement of the Episcopal School of Dallas, which appears on the first page of the 2000-01 edition of the ESD Student Handbook: "The Episcopal School of Dallas, a college preparatory school, is a spiritual community whose mission is to educate young people having A VARIETY OF BACKGROUNDS AND APTITUDES [my emphasis]. The school is a co-educational, faith-centered environment, with a strong academic and extra-curricular program that ENCOURAGES STUDENTS TO DISCOVER THEIR FULL POTENTIAL SPIRITUALLY, INTELLECTUALLY, AND PHYSICALLY. [my emphasis]"

By printing the above text on the first page of the student handbook, ESD has professed to encourage students of different faiths to attend their school, and to strengthen their relationship with God. We see forms of religious expression around us every day at school.

To allow Christians and Jews to express their faith using the previously mentioned religious symbols, while restricting Muslims from growing a beard, ESD has restricted members of a particular faith the freedom to express themselves in ways similar to those
that their Jewish and Christian brothers and sisters do.

Furthermore, by publishing the aforementioned mission statement, while at the same time denying a student his own ways of "discover [himself]spiritually", The Episcopal School of Dallas has shown it's true diversity... or lack thereof. Please sign this
petition to support this Muslim student in his fight for religious expression in a "diverse" school.
