31. Save the Victoria Recreation Ground
The Victorian Recreation Ground has been a focal point in Canterbury and surrounding areas in Kent. This site was given to the people of Canterbury By Queen Victoria I for public access. It has been propesed that this ground is leased to a leisure facility who endevour to charge for the tennis courts. Children's play facilities and Pavillion to raise money for the upkeep. Public access will remain but other areas that were once free of charge would need to be paid for.
32. Build The Locker Rooms at T.R. Hughes ballpark
This is a petition that has come about as a result of the lack of action on the part of the city to build adequate locker rooms for the professional minor league team in O'Fallon, Missouri.
Point 1. Part of our agreement with the Frontier League to secure the Rascals was an agreement to provide adequate showering and changing facilities for both the home team and the visiting team. Currently there is not even a restroom which is alloted to the visiting team, let alone showering facilities.
2. The City agreed to build the locker rooms as a part of the original agreement with the ownership of the River City Rascals organization and has failed to build those facilities.
3. Currently the home team must change and shower in a woefully inadequate trailer behind the right field wall. This facility is not only a blight to the city and team, but is a source of difficulty for the team to recruit the league's best available players.
4. The City points the finger at the Rascals for reasons as to why the facility is not built and the team has pointed back at the city. This is childish on both parts and it is time to put aside the bickering and get the facility built.
5. The city agreed to build the facility last year at the same time the 'St. Charles County Hall of Fame' was built on the grounds and once again defaulted on their promise.
6. The Rascals have proven to be a source of great pride and revenue for the city of O'Fallon with thousands of persons from outside the city visiting each summer and infusing tax revenues to the city of O'Fallon in the form of taxes paid on refreshments, souvenirs and tickets prices.

34. -=Protest Petition=- Against Higher FEES at Tulsa Park Facilities
Should the community pay for the financial mistakes of the City of Tulsa? NO!!! The City of Tulsa mismanaged its money and created an $11,000,000 shortfall...
Their solution is: Fee increases, as proposed by the Park and Recreation Department and approved by the Mayor and Park Board, for Tulsa Park Facilities including outside sports facilities, sports equipment, pools, shelters, open space, special events, community center room rentals and Special Park Facilities including the Zoo & Oxley Nature Center.
Permits for professional photographers to shoot at parks will increase $125...
NOTE: Incomprehensibly, Fees at Mohawk and Page Belcher Golf courses will be reduced.
SPECIAL NOTE: Deficit reduction should be done by cuts in spending not higher fees!
35. Stop Procter & Gamble Test all their Products on Animals
To put a stop to Procter and Gamble (one of the worlds largest testing facilities in the world). To stop animal pain and suffering.
36. ebskatepark.org
We the residents of East Brunswick believe there is a need to construct a Skatepark in order to give every one (children and adults) who enjoy the sport of Inline Skating, Skateboarding, and organized Roller Hockey a safe location and facility to do so. Neighboring towns have constructed skating facilities, or have them under study for future construction. We believe East Brunswick needs to do the same. Rollerblade sports should be given the same consideration baseball, soccer, and baseball receive. The construction of a Skatepark is an important step.
37. Stop the Pollution: 40% of U.S. Waterways are too polluted to swim in
The historic Clean Water Act has been in place nearly 30 years and yet 40% of the nation's waterways are too polluted for Americans to use for swimming or fishing.
A report from Environmental Working Group showed that 42% of state inspections at facilities that had already been found to be in breach of the Clean Water Act in the past were "Drive By" where inspectors were not required to leave get out of their carÂ… and 280 facilities run by known polluters were not inspected at all!
In some cases the fines for breaching the Act are so small that it is cheaper for polluters to pay the fine and keep polluting than to take action to stop the pollution.
The Clean Water Act is in place to improve the waterways of America. If it is not enforced properly water quality will not improve.
