1. Require a Form of Class and/or License Prior to the Purchase of Any Firearm

When purchasing a firearm the requirements are lenient and lacking depth.

With recent tragedies we have witnessed the horrific events that are made possible when a firearm is placed in the hands of an irresponsible/under evaluated owner.

This petition proposes that as a nation we require a form of class and/or licensing prior to the purchase of any firearm.

Including, but not limited to, sanity evaluation, awareness, and of course gun safety.

With a form of testing in order to be licensed and able to purchase/possess a fire arm.

2. Stop government cuts to welfare and security

We are doing this petition as there are cuts that are being made and every thing is not being taken in to consideration. Our soldiers have been fighting for years in Afghanistan and yet there are being cuts made to the Defense system.

People have died for the United kingdom fighting front line! Laying off soldiers is showing them is a stab in the back!

Cuts are being made to single mothers and elderly and disabled but yet there is a £100,000 a week pay out for Abu Quatar to stay in this country because it affects his human rights. People that have lived in this country all their life and even people that have moved here and pay tax and national insurance are not being thought about. Every one is being affected by cuts but yet when there is one way to save money it isnt being done.

"Qatada's release was ordered by a special immigration court which ruled on Monday that sending him back to Jordan to face terror charges would breach his human rights. He will be allowed out between 8am and 4pm and be monitored by the police and MI5 at a cost of £100,000 a week." Daily mail Online.

Another thing is there are plenty of working people but as the cuts are going forward by the time younger people get to 65 there wont be any money for a pension, So therefore we are having to pay into a pension even though all the tax we pay should go towards a state pension. No one ever goes to rich people for extra tax when they are earning +Millions, Every one is trying to live and do their bit for them selves and their family but it looks like the middle class working people are the most affected in the current government.

3. Set a Student to Teacher Ratio at a maximium 20:1

Studies show that smaller class sizes lead to an efficient learning environment. Large class sizes often have a higher rate of distractions and disturbances, and the teacher won't be able to focus on every student.

However, if the class size is small, then the teacher will be able to reach every student and will be able to avoid disturbances and interruptions.

This will mean more learning time, and everyone will absorb knowledge at the end of the day.

4. Against Trinity Earth Science Course Final

The students at Trinity Lutheran College are not going to accept professors with syllabus' that don't outline all the assignments that are required to complete the course successfully anymore.

TLC is an emerging institution in the academic world and is starting make itself known in its athletic programs, also through its published academic works and through principal of what Trinity stands for. When we as students paid to attend Trinity Lutheran College; it was in hearts and in our minds that we were expecting academic excellence. We expect a high level of expertise in a professor’s academic field and responsibility on the behalf of full-time faculty and associate faculty to engage students, challenge students and to help students reach their academic goals.

The natural earth science class feels strongly that the work that has been assigned throughout the spring semester of 2011 has been done recklessly without considering a students need to plan and prepare mentally for assignments that would be required to successfully complete the course. There has been no standard guild-lines given to the students as to what will be expected them only until the professor "feels" like assigning students a project or homework. It was the final straw when students for the earth science class were expected to fit a final exam that consist of a writing requirement of a minimum 5 pages in total half inch margins single spaced 10pt font. That is a total of 12 pages double spaced with 1 inch margins.

This assignment is 3 pages research, 1 page SLP evaluation, and 1 page on a reflection of the course. It should be noted that this is a 200 level class. It should also be noted that this was assigned at 11:59pm via email to students on May 12th. This assignment is due on May 19th at midnight. This was assigned during finals for students in the heat of everything that is happening for students. And as students we believe this is absolutely wrong to expect students to do well, with thoughtful research and application.

This final assignment has been assigned as a final. It should be no longer than 2 hours because it is stated as a final. But this assignment will take a student going fast 5 hours at their fastest, but what kind of quality is that? This is not academic excellence, this is not Trinity.

5. Maplestory Vista/7 dc fix

ME:

In many pqs in the game (especially GSPQ and bosses), i have disconnected many times and my computer says "there was an error with hackshield." I cant remember exactly at this very moment, but it was along the lines of that.

META4ICAL:

This DC issue is getting very problematic for higher levels with Windows 7 and Vista. I claim no expert knowledge in programming or patching but ever since HackShield was implemented, users with Win7/Vista have been having more and more issues with DCing at party boss runs. People have hence found methods to not DC - ie alt-tabbing, changing resolution before and after different phases of the particular boss, restarting the computer before the run - all very tedious things to do just to fight a single boss.

Then came the Evan patch which made things worse, and then with this last Dual Blade patch it is nearly impossible not to DC even while using the aforementioned methods. There are hundreds, if not thousands of maplers who are getting fed up with these issues. When people write tickets or try to raise this issue, your representatives say it is our computers and that nothing can be done on your end to fix these issues.

We maplers love and enjoy most of the new content you bring us with each patch but I strongly believe that I speak for the majority when I say that there comes a time when fixing the in-game glitches should be prioritised over new content and events. There have been false-autobans (especially around the Haunted House in Crimsonwood), DC hackings (spouse chat DC seems to be the new and most prevalent method at this time), lag issues, the recent meso dupling exploit in which innocent maplers were falsely put on "hell ban" and lost their hard earned mesos, and countless many more bugs and glitches.

Please let our words not fall on deaf ears. We simply want to enjoy this game without so many problems in the way of our daily mapling. There ARE serious issues with Win7/Vista users disconnecting at high level boss runs. These are not random cases of 1 or 2 maplers with low-grade computers. Most of us have specs that far exceed what is necessary to play a simple 2D game. Fix these issues please, Nexon.

I ask all of those who are experiencing these same difficulties to join me and let our voices be heard by the people at Nexon. These glitches are becoming intolerable and down-right annoying. Please fix them Nexon, and thank you beforehand.

PATRONIDGE:

In addition to my Zakum run efforts, I have also attended a Horntail run recently, with the original poster. The first preliminary head went smoothly; I changed quality twice, it died, and I progressed to the second preliminary head. Then, about fifteen seconds in, I was booted off the exact same way that I was disconnected off zak. Gone. Poof. Nada.

(Add no, I did not press alt + f4. Alt is my torpedo button which I rarely ever use, if at all, at bosses. Much less f4, although maybe it would be suitable after I disconnected.)

In addition to these disconnecting issues, I have been lagging every fifteen seconds as soon as I attack, as many forum users have also mentioned. For most, this is hardly an issue- a one second lag out of 15 when training giving less-than-optimal exp, or entering the PIC code incorrectly. However, the aforementioned issues the least of my problems. Ever since the Dual Blade patch (although people have experienced it as early as the release of the Evan patch), I have been unable to even use my Rapid Fire skill. I know I am not alone - I know several bowmasters who not only have stopped training due to this, but gave up bossing altogether. Normally, this is not too bad for a corsair, but this fifteen second lag does not only apply when I use rapid fire, but battleship cannon as well.

So, what am I getting at? I have already mentioned two rather insignificant problems that this lag created, but there is more.

Enter the Parlor, where happy gangsters and of course, Anego reside. And now, introducing your anego fanatic, me.

Normally at anego, I would pin her to the wall on the left easily by means of rapid firing; a quick and simple process. As of the late, the moment I use rapid fire, I'm unable to move. So I attempt at the obvious solution:pinning with battleship cannon. This is where the problem begins. Yes, I can pin her. However, every 15 seconds, I lag, causing anego to suddenly rush up to me. For night lords, due to the faster casting time of triple throw compared to battleship cannon, this is bearable. Even for me, most of the time, say a good 60%, I can hit her again before the lag ends, thus avoiding getting hit with her magic attacks. The other 40% of the time, I will get hit with a nasty 5.3k magic attack. I consider myself lucky that I can tank a 5k hit now (excellently timed ap reset giveaway, Nexon), but forget not that anego also hosts her (in)famous nasty 18k slap. Guess who's been on the receiving line of that slap six times now? Me. At 162, 10% is an excruciatingly large amount of exp about 25m. I don't even want to think about how slow it will be later, but at the moment, each death is 10%. If these deaths weren't bad enough, each anego consumes a large amount of pots; much, much more than before, to the point that I'm spending about six times as many pots per anego (I use ginger ales, which heal hp and mp simultaneously). I have leveled from 125 - 162 completely off from this boss (aside from 2 levels), and it is a shame that I can barely even /train/ anymore because of this glitch.

To the unfortunate bowmasters who can't even use hurricane... I can only say that I sympathize completely for you.

Nexon, please fix these issues. Although it is generally the higher leveled community that suffers from these two issues (which means much less people), these issues are unavoidable. Someday, that level 32 fighter might become a 135 hero, only to find out he can't survive zakum, just because he disconnects. Or the 118 ranger who's motivation to level is hurricane, only to realize he can barely use it.

6. Help Save Extracurriculars at Cherry Hill District Schools

Governor Christie by taking away our surplus to try to curtail the state deficit of $9 Billion is causing our district to make severe cuts. Elementary Schools possibly will have to cut their programs such as TAG, Instrumental Music, and an increase of class sizes.

Middle Schools will have to cut as well programs such as Advisory, the changing of Athletics to Intramural, as well as Mt.Misery. High Schools will also be affected as programs such as Late Buses, and Class Size increases.

While these programs of POSSIBLE cuts, they are taken right from the powerpoint on the District Website, which gave these as possible cuts.

8. Enact the DREAM Act in 2009

The DREAM Act is a bipartisan proposal, which would create a pathway to citizenship for thousands of young students who were brought to the United States years ago as children.

If Congress fails to act this year, another class of outstanding, law-abiding high school students will graduate without being able to plan for the future, and some will be removed from their homes to countries they barely know.

This tragedy will cause America to lose a vital asset: an educated class of promising immigrants students who have demonstrated a commitment to hard work and a strong desire to contributing members of our society.

9. Support April Terry (a.k.a. "Box") & FHS Sports Medicine

On May 8, 2009, Ms. April Terry (a.k.a. "Box") was informed she would no longer be teaching sports medicine classes at Flathead High School. FHS Administration's reason: "to make room for a coach/teacher". Athletics over Academics?!

Many FHS students, parents & staff are disconcerted about this turn of events, because without Ms. Terry's valued leadership, the sports medicine classes at FHS will most likely be discontinued. However, Ms. Terry is being allowed to continue teaching sports medicine classes at Glacier H.S.
Glacier over Flathead?

The sports medicine curriculum taught by Ms. Terry serves as an excellent stepping stone for students interested in pursuing a medical professions career. Many students taking her class, say they like going to her class because "Box makes learning fun". Ms. Terry also assists FHS athletic trainer Mike Graf provide quality, medical care to FHS students.

10. Keep Mrs. Linda Dysart Teaching

On May 11, 2009 Mrs. Linda Dysart's class was informed that she would not be returning as she was being let go. Holding back tears she explained to the class how all of her classes had been redistributed to other teachers or completely taken off the available classes. Classes like drama, speech, and psychology were all given to other teachers to instruct. Classes like creative writing were gotten rid of.

She also coached both flags and show choir; she herself has not been informed of what is to come of those and is not even sure if she will be allowed to continue coaching them. Linda Dysart is an exceptional teacher and lady. If she is let go so many people will be let down. All the students taking, or planning to take, her prior mentioned classes will not be able to experience what an amazing teacher she is. If let go students in drama, psychology, speech, flags, and show choir will all be let down as they will not have the teaching of Mrs. Linda Dysart behind them.

She is an exceptional role model for Delta High School students and is one of the best we've seen in communicating, sympathizing, and directing students.

11. Add Alexis Grace to the Tour

Alexis Grace was treated the worst this season, and arguably worse than any other idol in the history of the show because:

1) the judges singled her out and gave her "advice" to "dirty herself up", which painted negative picture of her character in the minds of some voters, thus costing her some popularity. ONLY she had to deal with this. This "dirty" emphasis is the most likely cause of Alexis' elimination at country week. So their failures not only attached a stigma to her character in the minds of some voters but it likely cost her the tour and much longer and deserved AI run. (see my other blog post)

2). The save was made for a situation just like Alexis': a talented performer who picks a "bad" song and gets surprisingly eliminated, has lots of potential and would shine the following week, and has something as significant as the tour at stake. In addition, they should have saved her based on principle; their mistakes most likely led to her elimination and at the very least attached a stigma to her character. So they had the chance to own up to their mistakes and give her the save that she deserved. But instead they chose to deny her of the tour and let this amazing talent fade into obscurity with an unjust elimination, and a lingering stigma on her character (from the "dirty" emphasis). At the same time, they were generous to others with the wildcard picks (ie Megan, Jasmine, Matt (bringing him back after he bombed the top 36 and then giving him another chance after the top 7). Arguably it was because she didn't sing her swan song well enough, but then they save Matt even though he sang his swan song worse than the night before, even though he has "no chance of winning what so ever" (Simon) and even though he had already been given a second chance after not getting enough votes due to a bad top 36. Not to mention that he (and everyone else this season) did not have to deal with a perceived character flaw that stemmed from judges' failures).

3) To make matters worse, to kick more dust into her eyes, they (Kara) then LIE about her AI run in attempt to make Alexis seem worse then she actually was. They did this to justify their mistake of not saving her and in doing so they unjustly reaped away all her deserved credit... they made it seem like all of her performances were "bad song choices" (a total lie).

I think in Alexis' case, aside from the fact that the judges singled out only Alexis with their poor advice that cost her some popularity and added a stigma to her character in some peoples' minds that will now linger on even after her stint on idol, aside from the fact that their mistakes were the most likely cause of her shocking, premature elimination, aside from the fact that they chose not to save her even though the save was meant to be used for her type of situation... the most disgusting act was totally misrepresenting her AI run with blatant lies in an attempt to justify not saving her... to say (lie) that she picked bad songs throughout her entire AI run totally reaps away ALL of the credit she had earned throughout her short run. It's the biggest insult i have ever seen towards a contestant in AI history and it spoke volumes about Kara's integrity and lack of class. Instead of leaving with a legacy of good performances, she now leaves with the stigma of being the "dirty girl who didn't stay true to herself... the dirty young, single mom" who picked "bad" songs for basically her entire AI run. That is totally unacceptable.

For the two full arguments:
1) "why the judges mistakes were the most likely cause of Alexis' unjust and early elimination and 2) Why AI should Add Alexis Grace to the tour; why she has been treated more unfairly than anyone else in AI history. see: http://myidol.americanidol.com/iluvpower/blog

12. Protect Class Size Reduction

Studies done by California Department of Education and U.S. Department of Education consistently identified a positive relationship between reduced class size and improved student performance. Results from the Tennessee Project STAR (Student/Teacher Achievement Ratio) study have continually demonstrated that reducing class sizes in grades K-3 to 13-17 students substantially increases children's reading and mathematics scores. Our School District is proposing to increase these classes to 30-1.

13. Longer lunches at Alameda Senior High School

Last year, at Alameda Senior High School, the staff and student body had a total of 45-50 minutes to enjoy the time between classes with a lunch period. This year (school year 08-09) the student body and staff have a mere 35 minutes to eat lunch.

The staff and students feel that the cut in the lunch period should be reinstated. After discussion with many of the staff members, and several students, 35 minutes is simply not enough time to have lunch. Standing in the lunch line at Alameda one volunteer commented, "It took 20 minutes just to get to the counter to purchase lunch, by the time I was able to sit down and eat, I had 5 minutes to eat my lunch."

Other High Schools in the district get between 40-50 minutes for lunch.
The circumstance under which our request should be granted are that the staff and students often go to class without a finished meal or finishing a meal.

16. Everquest: Unnerf Wizard Instant nukes

APRIL 18, 2007
***Patch notes***
-The wizard instant cast nukes (Flashfires, Cloudburst Strike, and Cold Snap) have been reduced in effectiveness slightly.

Nov,13, 2007
Patch Notes
*** Secrets of Faydwer ***
- Single-target fire, ice, and magic instant cast spells from TSS and SoF now share the same recast timer. The recast delay on Cloudburst has been decreased so it can be chained. The Cloudburst line is now more damaging but less efficient than the - Flashfires and Cold Snap lines. Recourses from these instant cast spells now bestow a short-duration buff that applies a damage increase to the next spell with a 3 second cast time or more. Most other wizard direct damage spells have had their cast times nearly halved and had this time applied to the reuse delay, allowing the use of 2-3 direct damage spells in the time that would previously be required to cast one.

While controversial to the wizard community, many players of this class simply did not care for these changes to the wizard class as it made the class less effective than it once was for burst damage which many consider wizard's primary function.

17. Reverse Greenberg Now

1. At the time we received the class notice, (July, 2005) we were not informed and were not aware we had unpaid wages; not by Class Counsel, the Defendants, the Superior Court, the Class Notice or the Settlement Agreement.

2. Now, we clearly understand we have unpaid, due wages that are owed to us by the Defendants. For many, these unpaid wages amount to thousands of dollars per class member. The penalties, damages and fines created by Defendants failure to pay these wages, in many instances, amounts to several million dollars per class member.

UNION CLASS MEMBERS:
a. Overtime under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
b. Wages under CLC §226.7-(Meal Delay Payments)
c. Overtime on State Meal Delay Payments.
d. Other unpaid wages at www.reversegreenberg.com

NON-UNION CLASS MEMBERS
a. Overtime under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
b. Wages under CLC §226.7 (Meal Delay Payments)
c. Overtime on State Meal Delay Payments.
d. Other wages outlined at www.reversegreenberg.com

3. The settlement relieves Defendants from the legal obligation to pay our unpaid wages. The settlement forever bars us from collecting these unpaid wages if we also happen to claim they are “late.” This is of course absurd! If the wages are past due AND unpaid, how could they be anything but late? This settlement is a sham. It was designed exclusively to help the Defendants evade paying our wages, as well as the liability for failing to pay them.

4. This settlement undermines the purpose of the California wage statutes: to secure prompt payment of our earned and due wages. This is an unfair and deceitful tactic by the Defendants to willfully avoid paying us our unpaid due wages through obfuscation and diversion. If successful in their attempts, they will render the concept of due dates and wages meaningless for motion picture employees.

5. The Defendants were well aware of the existence of our unpaid wages and their obligations to pay them. If they weren’t, they should have been. Many of these Defendants are the largest, most sophisticated media conglomerates in the world.

6. During the entire lawsuit, the existence and status of our unpaid wages was never brought before the Superior Court. This despite 5 years of litigation, the production of over 200,000 pages of documents, the involvement 900 Defendants, and the participation of two Superior Court Judges. We don’t think it is fair our unpaid wages were completely ignored during the litigation only to have them released during settlement, regardless of what label is attached to them. (late, underpayment, non-payment, etc.)

7. We understood the Class Notice addressed wage payments that were paid in full but paid late. But, we DID NOT understand the settlement applied to those of us who still had unpaid wages. Our silence did not and does not equal support. We never would have agreed to this settlement if we knew we had unpaid due wages and if we knew this settlement would be used to prevent us from collecting those wages.

8. So, if the settlement releases our unpaid wages and/or how we choose to enforce their payment, why were these wages never addressed in this lawsuit? We think Class Counsel bears this responsibility.

9. When Class Counsel chose to file this lawsuit and bind us to its class action terms, they had (and still have) a responsibility to vigorously represent and protect all of our interests and claims that might reasonably be affected by this lawsuit. If Class Counsel wanted to release our unpaid wage claims, they could and should have been aware we had unpaid wages in the first place. We don’t think releasing our unpaid wages was in our best interest, but, at a minimum, before they released ANYTHING on our behalf, Class Counsel had an obligation to ensure that our unpaid wages were paid.

10. Class Counsel breached their duty to properly represent us. Class Counsel had no authority to represent, let alone release our FLSA claims as there was never an FLSA cause of action. If we hired them to sell our car, we certainly wouldn’t expect them sell our house too.

11. Currently, there are no published California Appellate opinions regarding application of California Labor Code §206 & §206.5 to large class action wage and hour disputes. In the event you decline to reverse this Superior Court decision, we will request that the Appellant petition the Court for a rehearing, and if necessary, petition the Supreme Court for a grant of review. We believe the California Supreme Court would welcome the opportunity to clarify the rights of employees under Labor Codes §206 and §206.5, especially in the context of a class action lawsuit.

19. Petition To Have Prom Somewhere Other than the KMall

Congratulations class of 2008- we are now seniors! This is our year to outshine the previous classes. We have so many events to look forward to - and one of the biggest ones is senior prom.

However, prom is as of yet going to be just like every other year - in the cafeteria! When questioned as to why we cannot have another location- I was given the following reasons: 1) free location 2) OWC is a good meeting place for Destin/FWB/Crestview/etc. 3) it is where every other prom has been held.

But these reasons still leave unanswered questions. What if we could find someplace with a good price? What if the location was still a good meeting place? And why be like every other class?

This petition is for classmates that support the idea of having Senior Prom 2008 somewhere other than the KMall if it is possible.

Thank you so much!

20. Stop NY Fed Transfer of North Korean $25 Million

The Six-Party denuclearization talks with North Korea halted earlier this year, because the US froze $25 million of accounts in Banco Delta Asia in Macau. The funds were frozen by the US Treasury Department because the funds in the accounts were believed to be obtained by counterfeiting US currency and other illicit activities.

So far, the Bank of China and Wachovia Bank have declined requests from the US State Department to transfer these funds back to North Korea.

State's newest request is for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York to transfer the funds back to North Korea. Lee Bollinger is a Class C director on the board of directors.

Apart from aiding a regime that is one of the world's most egregious human rights violators, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York transfer would also be in violation of: Section 311 of the USA Patriot Act, United Nations Security Council Resolution 1718, and Sections 1956-1957 of US Criminal Code, Title 18.

21. Increase Legroom in all Longhaul Economy Class Seats

As air travel has boomed, companies have designed economy seats so that we, the passengers, have more legroom. This would reduce the risk of potentially deadly diseases, such as DVT. However, instead, airlines are using the extra space to cram in more seats, so that their pockets are even deeper.

Over the past few years, legroom in economy has drastically decreased, and there are now even talks about standing-room only, where you don't even get a seat but a backboard to 'rest' on.

For example, Emirates fit in 10-abreast seats in some of their aircraft, whereas it is recommended that there should only be 8-abreast seating in those aircraft. Should we stand for that?

It is now time to take a stand against these money-hungry airlines that couldn't care less about the passengers' comfort, after all, would these airlines still be without us?

23. Save the Music Department at Cape Coral High School

Recently, the Cape Coral High School administration has decided to remove the music department from the school.
The administration's reason for removing the program was becasue there weren't enough students signed up for the classes.

The music teacher and her students acted immediately, set up a table in the cafeteria, and got a considerable amount of students to sign up. There were at least 104 students signed up for classes such as guitar, piano/keyboard, musical theatre, drums, and the special education class.

Although they had less than two months to accomplish the task in recruiting more students, they achieved the goal.
The administration claims that there were only around 40 people who signed up.

Every student has the right to learn about different fields which interest them, and removing the music department from Cape Coral High School is denying at least 100 students from that right. Removing the music department would be just as unfair as telling the football players that there wasn't going to be any football next year, or telling painters that art class wouldn't be available to them anymore.

Would you like it if you were told that you were unable to participate in the classes that pertained to your hobbies or possible career? No, nobody would. Therefore, we ask the Cape Coral High School administration to change their decision, keeping the music department part of the school.

At the beginning of the 2006-2007 school year, Lubbock implemented a district wide campus restructuring. This restructuring moved our 6th grade students from elementary to the Junior High and our 9th grade students to the High Schools.

Coronado High School offers the open campus concept lunch to all grade levels including the new freshmen class. This is open campus lunch concept has caused issues with our young children and has exposed them to many things that threaten their safety. They are loitering at business in the vicinity of the high school. They are meeting up with people that are not students of Coronado. Many of these people are over the age of 18, selling drugs to these students as well as influencing their behavior.

As parents, we are responsible for the protection of our children and must take every opportunity available to do this. Coronado closing the campus to the freshmen class at lunch is one way we can insure the safety of our children.

26. Foreign Language Courses in Corning-Painted Post School District

For years, only two foreign languages have been obtainable at the Corning-Painted Post School District, while in other districts in New York, as many as four may be offered. This is much to the dissent of the student populace.

Because of this, many of the students, only being able to choose French and Spanish, never get the chance to take a language they want so they quickly lose interest in it all together and many drop out after taking the Proficiency Exam that is required by New York State.

If a student were offered a language they would like, instead of being required to pick between two they do not like at all, they are more likely to stay in the class and therefore would have a higher chance of staying in the class and would lead to better understand among the younger generation of the United States and the world.

Last year's 1st grade at Greenville had 69 students in 1st grade, yet was kept at 3 sections, above the district's recommended class size guideline of 22. Currently, our 2nd grade has 2 more students than it did last year.

Over the past ten years, Greenville's population has grown at a much faster rate than Seely Place's. In 1996, Seely Place had 436 students and Greenville had 411. As of Oct. '06, Greenville had 502 and Seely Place 499. If this trend continues, the inequity of average class size between the two schools' incoming 3rd grades will be further exacerbated.

The resulting inequality in average class size (23 vs. 17) is having a detrimental educational effect on the teachers ability to teach -- this has been confirmed by some of Greenville's 2nd grade teachers.

Equalize the average class size today! Please give our children the 4th teacher they need.

29. Time for a new world history teacher

Our world history teacher, Ms.Simanu Klutz is a nice person however not a great teacher. Ms. Simanu Klutz has taught us nothing so far in the year, and when I mean nothing, I mean nothing. She gives us many packets of the book to try and help us but we haven't even went over that chapter or section in class.

She gives us the packets and makes us do it on our own. She then gives us tests and quizzes over chapters and sections in the book that we all don't even remember discussing in class because we haven't. She tries different ways to teach us including: slideshows and group projects. Slideshows are a good way for us to make notes and learn but not when she doesn't even let us finish writing everything on the slide on our peice of paper and then doesn't even bother going back to let us write it down, but tells us that we should write faster.

How are we supposed to study for test if we don't have any notes in class. We have only seen three slideshows and not that much information on them. We are now on Chapter 14. She also sometimes lets us watch movies on what sections we are on but it is so boring that everyone ends up falling asleep. Also our class is the only freshman class that she teaches so we get treated like seventh graders. She doesn't do anything in our class to teach us about history. The information that she lectures to us is all coming out of the book.

We never have homework in her class and we never know when we have homework because the plansheet changes in class everyday. Its like social hour for us and we don't like it because we don't learn anything and when she gives us quizzes we bomb them.

30. Review Spanish 2 Honors class Midyear exam

We feel the World Language Department at Milton High School failed to properly hire a Spanish teacher for the 2006-2007 school year. The originally hired teacher, Ms. Burnett, did not properly teach the required information during her one-term teaching career at Milton High thus leaving Ms. Barron in a difficult place when she came and took over through December 22, 2006. During her short teaching career, Ms. Barron was able to instruct us in the book Ven Conmigo through Chapter 3, Section 2.

On January 4, 2006, we received a review sheet stating what was going to be covered on the exam. It states Chapter 4 will also be included in the exam. Yes, we have a new teacher on the way, however, until he comes, we will have substitute teachers in the classroom. There is no way we will be able to learn everything we have to learn in time for the exam.
