92. Show the "Accidents Will Happen" episode of Degrassi !

This is a petition to get The-N to show the "Accidents Will Happen" episode of Degrassi in the United States.

Hello, my name is Jillian and I'm here to fight for U.S. citizens that like to watch Degrassi. You've probably heard that The-N refuses to show the "Accidents May Happen" episode of Degrassi, but if you haven't it's an episode that involves Manny getting pregnant and then getting an abortion.

It's not fair that this television station does not allow this episode to be shown even though we U.S. citizens pay the cable bill every month for a full season of Degrassi. I think that The-N should either show the episode or put it out on DVD.

If you think this isn't fair please sign this petition. Thank you very much for listening to me and have a good day.

94. ABOLISH OUTSOURCING OF AMERICAN JOBS

Excerpted References: NYTimes.com Articles:

Op-Ed Columnist: Education Is No Protection on January 26, 2004 By BOB HERBERT:

"...The main objections came from a handful of protesters who stood outside in a brutally cold wind waving signs that said things like "Stop Sending Jobs Overseas" and "Put America Back to Work." No one paid them much attention.

The conference was titled "Offshore Outsourcing: Making the Journey Work for Your Corporation." Its goal was to bring executives up to speed on the hot new thing in corporate America, the shipment of higher-paying white-collar jobs to countries with eager, well-educated and much lower-paid workers.

... He said his firm had helped clients ship about a billion dollars' worth of projects offshore last year....

...You want a national security issue? Trust me, this threat to the long-term U.S. economy is a big one. Why it's not a thunderous issue in the presidential campaign is beyond me....

...We can grapple with this problem now, and try to develop workable solutions. Or we can ignore this fire in the basement of the national economy until it rages out of our control...."
(E-mail: bobherb@nytimes.com ...)

Also: NYTimes.com Article: News Analysis: New Patterns Restrict Hiring
on March 6, 2004 By LOUIS UCHITELLE:

"By almost every measure, the economy has been expanding at a healthy pace for six months. But the nation's employers remain stubbornly reluctant to add jobs in the United States.

Outsourcing abroad, particularly the shifting of work to China and India, so much in the news, is one reason hiring at home has been sparse...."

The following are general observations:

Our higher "cost to live" in America (versus those in most other countries)
is a "given burden" (for both natural born and those who acquire citizenship)
to live in America. It must certainly follow then that all working Americans
to have equivalent purchasing capability with citizens of other countries must be paid higher salaries. Other related topics needed for scrutiny are:

• What is the tax loss to the U.S. on jobs given to foreign Nationals?

• Who of the unemployed are not figured into the Labor Dept. unemployment
statistics.

95. NO ON SYNTHETIC TURF at Highlands and Heather

VOTE NO. Synthetic turf is extremely expensive to install and is warranteed for only 8 years. At a time of unprecedented statewide financial crisis, the proponents of installing synthetic turf at Highlands and Heather propose to:

(1) PUT SAN CARLOS DEEP IN DEBT;

(2) REQUIRE SAN CARLOS TO PAY NEARLY $400,000 IN INTEREST ALONE; AND

(3) SPEND ALL OF MEASURE G MONEY ON JUST ONE PROJECT, when dozens of other city projects such as a city swimming pool or upgrades to other parks go unfunded.

And who benefits at this extraordinary expense? A select group athletes- that's it. In fact, San Carlos Little League is also against this proposal as well as scores of citizens from all over San Carlos. VOTE NO.

96. Give US Citizens in the US Territories the right to vote for the President of the United States

The office of the President of the United States is the most powerful position on Earth, and the world and the American People in general, think that the position comes from an election by the people (citizens) of the United States, but in the 2000 election the world saw how the President of the United States could be elect by a minority vote of the people. But what the people don't know is that there are more than 4,000,000 United States Citizens who are disenfranchised, not because of treason or because they are felons or ex-felons but because they live in the Territories of the United States (USVI, Guam, The Northem Marianas and Puerto Rico).

It's really ironic that today many of those citizens are at war or have relatives in Irak fighting for their (the irakis) democracy and dont have even the right to elect their commander in chief as any other American Citizen.

This petition dont ask for a change from an electoral votes system to a direct vote system, this petition ask only for a fair inclusion of the Territories and the United States Citizens who live in those territories in to the present system.

If naturalized citizens or even US Citizens who live outside of the United States can vote for their Head Of State, why US Citizens who live in the territories that are after all under the US Flag can't vote for their Head of State?

97. Withdraw Canadian Citizenship from Canadians who endorse terror

March 24, 2004

This petition is in response to a growing concern that the Canadian government is merely paying lip service to the problem of terrorists and terrorist support/logistics in Canada.

In 1995 the then Prime Minister Jean Chretien personally intervened on behalf of a Canadian citizen, Ahmed Said Khadr who was being held in a Pakistani jail on charges relating to the bombing of the Egyptian Embassy in Islamabad. He had moved his family to Afghanistan and befriended Osama Bin Laden yet denied links to terror.

While living with Bin Laden in Afghanistan, they raised money in Canada amongst Muslims who were told they were aiding Afghan orphans. They had their sons trained in Al Qaeda camps to handle guns and explosives. They encouraged them to become martyrs for Islam, even suicide bombers. They nursed their hatred for Americans.

In 2001, in a grotesque family get together, they celebrated with "smiling, laughing" when Al Qaeda-comandeered jets slammed into the World Trade Center and other sites killing 3000 including 23 Canadians. Yet even today years after leaving Canada and five months after Ahmad was killed in a battle with Pakistani troops after being identified as an Al Qaeda founder and financier, his wife Maha finds her Canadian citizenship handy.

Incredibly, from Pakistan she is pressing Ottawa to issue her and her children new passports so they can roam the world armed with their extremist views. One son, Abdul Karim was paralyzed in the battle in Pakistan that killed his father; another, Abdullah, is in hiding in Pakistan; and a third, Omar is in the American detention centre in Cuba as an "enemy combatant" for killing a U.S. Army medic with a grenade. A Daughter, Zaynab, is with the mother.
"We are an Al Qaeda family", a fourth son, Abdurahman, flatly told the Canadian Broadcasting Corp.

He admitted to the Toronto Star he had been "lying to everyone up until this point" about his role in the saga. Upon his release from detention in Cuba, Abdurahman was flown to europe and released. He made his way to Pakistan where he contacted his Canadian relatives. They made an appeal to the Canadian government and once again a Canadian Prime Minister (this time Paul Martin) intervened and made a public statement that if Abdurahman made his way to a Canadian consulate, he would be "welcome" to return to Canada.

These repeated interventions by the Canadian government to help known terrorists holding Canadian citizenship is damaging the credibility of Canada as a nation that can be counted on in the war on terror. In addition these actions are needlessly advertising Canada has a gullible weak link to be exploited by terrorist groups wishing to operate unhindered here.

Thirdly it increases the risk to public safety and implants doubt in the minds of Canadians that the Canadian government is taking a proactive approach to preventing future terrorist attacks on Canadian soil.

98. Remove Jim Wilson

The purpose of this petition is to have appointed Sheriff Jim Wilson immediately removed from office and allow the citizens choice of Sheriff to take immediate command of the Sheriff's Department. The department is in turmoil. Frivolous spending, very low morale, intimidation of employees, irresponsible changes and the 2005 budget are the main concerns.

Jim Wilson must be removed immediately to allow the newly elected Sheriff the opportunity to create the budget he will administer, not one created by Jim Wilson who does not have the communities best interest at heart. Jim Wilson states he is a public servant. If he is a true public servant, he will serve his public's desires of him not being in office and the new Sheriff installed. Jim Wilson can not offer any valid justification for remaining in office until January. It is strictly personal for Jim and not for the good of Williamson County. Jim must be removed immediately in order to prevent his further destruction of the Sheriff's Department, leaving a complete mess for the elected Sheriff to clean up. Please join us in sending a strong message to our County Judge, Commissioners and Jim Wilson.

100. End Impunity: Equal Rights for All Under the Law

In 1998, the United Nations finalized the Rome Statute for the International Criminal Court. The statute guarantees a court to deal with the most atrocious criminals on the planet: those who commit war crimes and crimes against humanity. Even recent events, such as the genocide killings in Rwanda, remind us of the importance of a standard, objective Court of Law. The International Court intends to assume jurisdiction only in countries that have ratified the treaty, and only for the most monstrous crimes. The Criminal Court is potentially the most important institution for human rights in half a century.

However, the United States of America have made it clear that they will not ratify the Rome Statute. In 2002, the United States government informed the United Nations that "the United States does not intend to become a party to the treaty." In fact, they are on a diplomatic mission to create impunity agreements for its nationals from the Criminal Court. Basically, these impunity agreements would prevent any United States national from facing the Criminal Court. It is unfair to give one nationality exemption from law which should be standard all over the world. It is neither the intention of the Court, nor the writers of this petition, to take away power or basic rights from United States citizens. Simply, the court was formed to provide equality under the law and this is impossible with the existence of impunity agreements.

102. Restrict Constitutional Rights to U.S. Citizens Only

The United States is being attacked economically by people who are here illegally. Under present law, they benefit from the provision of public services without contributing through the payment of taxes. They generally earn money working at jobs that are "off the books", obtain free medical services in hospital emergency rooms, drive vehicles without licenses or insurance, send their children to schools that they do not support through property taxes, and commit criminal offenses that are costly to our judicial system.

A resricted set of rights should be created for illegal aliens. Not only would a narrower set of rights aid in reducing costs to the tax payer, but it would permit us to better assist our fellow Americans who need assistance.

Restricted rights would also aid in the processing of suspected terrorists who were not U.S. citizens.

104. Get the UN into Iraq!

The cowardly heads on the United Nations Security Counsel threaten the stability of the Entire Middle East, as well as countless lives of the international coalition bent on rebuilding Iraq, by not supporting the rebuilding process. Not only will they not support any effort to help the coalition help the Iraqis, the UN sends the message to Iraqis and Arabs alike that the allies are the 'enemies'.

Behind this madness sits France, Germany, and Russia, who are bent on protecting there own hidden records of arms shipments to Iraq and lucrative oil deals, instead of doing the right thing. It no longer matters if you supported this war effort, the goal now is to bring peace and stability to the region, and route out the terrorists! The coalition needs help, help the UN won't give! Because of the cowardliness of the UN Security counsel, the following have happened;

2 November: 16 US soldiers die as Chinook helicopter downed
27 Oct: Red Cross and other buildings in Baghdad bombed, more than 30 killed
12 Oct: Baghdad Hotel bombed, six dead
9 Oct: Police station in Baghdad bombed, 10 killed
29 Aug: Mosque near Najaf bombed, dozens dead including Shia Islam's top cleric in Iraq
19 Aug: UN headquarters in Baghdad bombed, 23 killed including head of mission
7 Aug: Jordanian Embassy bombed, 14 killed

The UN was in Iraq for a short time, but withdrew after a Bombing at there headquarters! Remember that peace isn't free, and not let this situation be another Mogadishu! Let us convince the UN that helping Iraq is the right thing to do, which it Is!

We are NOT a group of people pushing a 'gay agenda' but simply a mixture of straight, gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered people, who have spiritual beliefs, and a belief that all of us are equal. We are attempting to inform others that homosexual people are not pedophiles, sex addicts, and predators. We know and support same sex couples who are in healthy commited relationships. 109. Petition to Canadian Government concerning the late Ms. Kazemi

Dear Mr. Prime Minister,

We the undersigned, as the Iranian community of Canada and U.S. would like to express our thanks for your government's efforts in the case of Canadian journalist who was murdered in Iran, the Late Ms. Kazemi. We would like to remind your Excellency that it is greatly important for the Iranian community all across the world that the truth is known about the circumstances surrounding the arrest, torture and murder of Canadian journalist Ms. Kazemi in the hands of Islamic Republic officials. It is needless to say that Ms. Kazemi's case is just an example of what the government of Iran feels entitled to do to its current or former citizens.

Your Excellency, we demand the full protection of our rights under Canadian as well as International laws. The government of Iran must not be allowed to violate the basic human rights of its citizens, let alone the citizens of other countries and Canada. The international community and the Canadian government must make it clear to the government of the Islamic republic that they will not be allowed to get away with these violations.

Your Excellency, we demand that your government cut all ties with the Islamic republic should the government of Iran continue to refuse to send the body of Ms. Kazemi back to Canada for a fair and transparent investigation and continues to violate the rights of Iranian citizens. We would also like to express our full trust in the Canadian Criminal Courts and system. We would also like to express our support and appreciation of the Canadian Law enforcement in Vancouver British Colombia and let you know that the Iranian community resent the shameless allegations of the Islamic republic officials with regards to the tragic accident in Vancouver B.C.

110. Bring youth entetainment to Middletown

I think that skatebording and bikeriding are about the only things to do on weekends or school holidays, or even just after school with in walking distance of homes. I propose that middletown do something to encourage teens to get out and hang out with friends and family rather than be public disturbances or drug addicts.

The following people of middletown valley agree with me and would like to see something done to entertain the youth of our community.

Congressman Gene Green of the 29th Congressional District of the United States House of Representatives, Washington, DC, has introduced legislation requesting that the United States Postal Service [USPS] recognize Col. He was one of the key leaders in the Texas War for Independence.

He renounced Gen. Santa Anna's overturning of the Republican Constitution of 1834 which had granted all citizens and subjects of Mexico their basic human rights.
