1. Stop Allowing Schools to Purchase Plastic Water Bottles & insert Hydration Refill Stations 
By signing this petition you would be helping the city of St.Louis save thousands of plastic bottles per month per school from being used.
Here's why thats important:
-Plastic bottles hurt the environment
-Up to 70% of plastic bottles go to the landfill and do not get recycled
-Alot of plastic bottles end up in our streams and oceans
-Several studies have been done where plastics have been found in the digestive tracts of sea creatures
-Americans consume enough plastic bottles in one year to circle the globe 5 times
-Schools that have inserted hydration stations have saved up to 7 thousand bottles from being purchased in one month
St.Louis has been named one of the top cities in the United States with clean, good tasting tap water. By stop the selling of plastic bottles in schools and inserting hydration stations you will be benefiting the schools, the children and the community from excess waste.
I believe that if the schools supplied bottles for sale for the hydration stations that the station will eventually pay for itself.
Plastic last forever and it's KILLS!
Used plastic bags, bottles and similar are finding their ways to our drains, rivers, sea, beaches and the big oceans.
These products made from plastic will never decomposed but will only broken into smaller pieces to be mistakenly consumed by the marine creatures...
The marine life are either choke or stave them to death by these mistaken food... or its find their ways into our food chain...
With the ever increasing of the population tag with the current consumers' habits, the volume of discarded plastic bags, bottles or others will increased to an alarming situation that will be beyond our ability to clean it up...
There are already numerous reports about garbages patches found in our ocean and more than 80% of the contents are plastics. These plastics are destroying and killing the marine life direct and indirectly, we human will be affected...
3. Against The New Chatham Transit Bus Rules
The "new rules" state...
-no food
-no drinks (including baby bottles)
-no cell phones
-no mp3 players
-all riders with children in strollers must take the kids out of the strollers and fold the strollers up BEFORE getting on the bus.
Does this seem reasonable let alone safe? Not only is the concept of carrying a child AND a stroller on and off the bus inconceivable but you can't even give your baby a bottle but there's also no carseats or seatbelts for the kids.
4. Shut down the bonsai kittens site
This is so terrible. A site that we were able to shut last year has returned We have to try to shut it down again! (www.bonsaikitten.com)
A Japanese man in New York breeds and sells kittens that are called BONSAI CATS. That would sound cute, if it weren't kittens that were put into little bottles after being given a muscle relaxant and then locked up for the rest of their lives!! The cats are fed through a straw and have a small tube for their faces. The skeleton of the cat will take on the form of the bottle as the kitten grows. The cats never get the opportunity to move.
They are used as original and exclusive souvenirs. These are the latest trends in New York, China, Indonesia and New Zealand. If you think you can handle it, go to this site www.bonsaikitten.com and have a look at the methods being used to put these little kittens into bottles.

Alright I know we have all herd this before but honestly, we need to look at the facts here. Every 8 seconds someone dies of tobacco! And next time it could be you! Or someone in your family!
Almost 50,000 people a year die from second hand smoke alone! Just second hand! Just from being in the same room with someone who smokes.
Tobacco companies are making products that kill their customers! Their product(s) kill 440,000 of there buyers a year and 1,200 a day!
But why should this be surprising? Cigarettes zalready have about 700 chemicals in them alone! 69 of these chemicals are even known to cause cancer! Just to name a few chemicals:benzene, carbon monoxide, arsenic, hydrogen cyanide and polonium 210 (which is a radioactive chemical).
Ever heard of urea? the dictionary defines urea as: A water-soluble compound, CO(NH2)2, that is the major nitrogenous end product of protein metabolism and is the chief nitrogenous component of the urine in mammals and other organisms. Also called carbamide.
Some tobacco companies even add urea to their cigarettes.
"In 1990, 72 million bottles of a popular mineral water were voluntarily recalled because of small traces of benzene. The smoke from one pack of unfiltered cigarettes has as much benzene as 169 bottles of the contaminated water."

Smoking also causes 445 new cases of lung cancer everyday.
Now think about this...We supposedly live in the "Best country of All" but if we're so great..why does out governement allow people to sell things that will kill us?
