241. Pemulwuy: The Movie
In Australia, there exists a general ignorance about the Aboriginal resistance against colonial invasion. This ignorance is a huge contributing factor in the cultural disrespect which results in the shameful inequality of today's Australian population.
Pemulwuy’s (c.1750–1802) story is an inspirational narrative which permeates the malaise of Australia’s national identity/s. This heroic saga has been aptly depicted by such works as Eric Willmot’s 1987 novel Pemulwuy: The Rainbow Warrior.

243. Allow Australian Google Checkout Merchants
Australians may not sign up for Google Checkout Merchant accounts.
244. Support 100% Australian Owned Companies To Keep Grocery Prices Low
The supermarket shelves are dominated by foreign giants which jack up prices to make enormous profits.
Many multinational companies pay little or no tax at all in Australia. Australian companies are forced to pay 32 cents income tax creating an enormous tax disadvantage. This is why 85% of the products in the supermarket are foreign owned and made. This is why prices are so high. This creates huge problems for the tax paying Australian company competing against foreign competitors who pay little or no tax in Australia.
The Australian competitor discounts its price it then loses profits and goes broke and is bought out by a huge foreign competitor.Once all Australian competition is destroyed the price paid by the customer skyrockets.
245. Bring Breaking Benjamin to Brisbane

246. Petition to Adidas : Stop Using Kangaroo Leather
This petition appeals to Adidas to stop using kangaroo leather in their products. Each year, millions of kangaroos are killed in what is widely regarded as the largest wildlife massacre on the planet. Kangaroo joeys are bludgeoned to death or discarded and left to die from cold, starvation and predation.
Shockingly, the number one supporters of this barbaric trade are sports shoe manufacturers, who purchase the skins and turn them into football boots. Adidas, one of the kangaroo industry’s biggest customers, is a major driving force behind the industry.
247. Bring Australia's BEST SHOWS back to TV
Remember the old days of TV? The TV of your childhood that you look back on and base your TV life on now. The GOLDEN days, before everything turned MTV and Bratz.
Some of Australia's BEST SHOWS have been taken off air and are wanted, and quite literally NEEDED, back.
To have the young generation of today growing up in this promiscious and body-image obsessed society is simply unnacceptable. not to mention setting them up for an immoral future.
Blinkie Bill, Mr Squiggle, Budgie the Helicoptor, Oakie Doke, Noddy, Humphrey B Bear, Power Rangers, Rugrats, The MAGIC SCHOOL BUS.
These shows offered not ONLY countless hours of entertainment, but were educational, and taught children the values of morality.
Australia's children crave and REQUIRE these shows back, save our state and country from plunging further into promiscuity and body-related chaos.
248. Help African Refugees in Australia
The Australian Government will not be accepting anymore African refugees until
July 2008. As stated by the United Nations High Commission for refugees,
Australia should be accepting refugees based on need for protection, not on
their ability to intergrate (or perceptions about their intergration) nor on the basis of religion, race or nationality.
Australia’s cut is working against our duty to demonstrate empathy, good will and patience. It is also contradicting the Human Rights Declaration which states that every person has a right to life, liberty and security. Africa needs our help - millions of people are stuck in refugee camps and our government is about to turn them away.
This petition is not just fighting for the rights of African refugees and the greater refugee community, but also fighting against the racial politics of our government. As worldly citizens we need to stand up for our people.
249. Stop the Pulp Mill
OK, so please sign this petition about the Gunn's "proposed" pulp mill if you don't want the pulp mill to be built in the Tamar Valley in northern Tasmania.
We need to stop this pulp mill!
250. Sack Smith Petition
In 2006/07 Perth Glory had its worst season ever finishing 7th on the A-League ladder with as few as 5 wins.
Ron Smith simply didn't perform. Perth Glory's name is gone as one of the best teams in Australian football.
As you all know, our dearly beloved friends Tom and Sam are way down under, in the great Australia.
I am starting this petition to have the Australian government return the lads back to England where they belong. So show your love and how much you miss them by signing this 'Get Tom and Sam Home!' petition!
Also, we might be able to wrangle a free kangaroo out of this. So the more signatures the better!!!

253. Connex - We have had enough!
I stand for a lot of people when I say we are absolutely fed up. The service, ridiculous cost and inefficiency is pathetic.
I tire of the money spent on marketing for Connex - the ads, the attempt to humanize themselves. I'm disgusted that in this day and age we are letting such an organisation get away with this utter contempt for their own customer.
254. World of Warcraft Servers for Austraia and NZ to be hosted in Australia
Are you sick of server reboots during our peek play times. Only cause it suits the US.
Why cant we have our own servers based in Australia?
We would have less lag and no longer have to have server reboots during peak playing times.
255. Bring Your Favorite Enemies to Australia
Basically the Your Favorite Enemies fanbase in Australia is starting to build and I'm sure that their fans would agree with me that they would love to see them in Australia.
256. Hawkwind cover band Sonic Attack to recieve Order of Australia

258. Bring Bullet For My Valentine To Perth/West Coast Of Australia
Bullet For My Valentine Are Having Their First Tour Of Australia This Year (2007), But Are Only Touring Brisbane, Melbourne And Sydney, But Not The West Coast Of Australia.
259. Ban Homework in Victorian Schools
Research that schools that do not give out homework to children, usually have a higher education standard then those with homework.
Studies show that homework causes stress in children, cuts into family time, and causes children to stay up late doing it.
It's a problem for busy families who usually are doing other things, because homework then piles up, and then the children become stressed, stay up late and don't do well at school. If they become to stressed, they can lash out at studants or teachers.
The other problem with homework is that it is more important then the work you do at school. If you don't do much work in school, you can still pass if you do the homwork. If you don't do the homework but do the school work really well, you can fail.
Can you see sense in that? I can't. Sign this petition to ban homework.
We copy America enough let's call the greatest sport with the proper name, football.
FFA govern football in Australia hence Football Federation of Australia. Football NSW govern it in New South Wales.
So let's all call it football not soccer.
261. BRING BON JOVI TO AUSTRALIA!
Please accept this petition that shows you still have MANY fans that wish to see you 'Down Under' on your next tour!
262. Australian FA Cup
Australia has an FA Cup style competition for many decades but there seems to be no discussion at the moment by the Football Federation of Australia to implement a similar competition in the near future.
263. Stop Nuclear power in Australia
Requires larger capital cost because of emergency, containment, radioactive wastes and storage systems. Requires resolution of the long-term high level waste storage issue in most countries. Potential nuclear proliferation issue.
Nuclear explosions produce radiation which make people sick and even kill them.
264. Don't let Jamie Bulger's killers live in Australia!
Do you remember February 1993 when a young boy of 3 was taken from a Liverpool shopping centre by two 10-year-old boys?
Jamie Bulger walked away from his mother for only a second, Jon Venables took his hand and led him out of the mall with his friend Robert Thompson. They took Jamie on a walk for over 2 and a half miles, along the way stopping every now and again to torture the poor little boy who was crying constantly for his mummy.
Finally they stopped at a railway track where they brutally kicked him, threw stones at him, rubbed paint in his eyes, pushed batteries up his anus and cut his fingers off with scissors.
Other mutilations were inflicted but not reported in the press. What these two boys did was so horrendous that Jamie’s mother was forbidden to identify his body.
They then left his beaten small body on railway tracks so a train could run him over to hide the mess they had created. These two boys, even being boys, understood what they did was wrong, hence trying to make it look like an accident. This week Lady Justice Butler-Sloss has awarded the two boys anonymity for the rest of their lives when they leave custody with new identities.
They will also leave custody early only serving just over half of their sentence. They are being relocated to Australia to live out the rest of their lives. They disgustingly and violently took Jamie’s life away and in return they each get a new life! Please .. If you feel as strongly as we do, that this is a grave miscarriage of justice ..
Sign my petition so that these killers don’t get another chance to do it again.
265. A better Australian Home End for Socceroos matches
A petition for a better Australian Home End for Socceroos matches.
A football team’s home end should be the focal point of support for that team. It should be filled with loud voices and songs of encouragement. It should be visually impressive. It should be a source of inspiration to the home side and intimidating to the opposition.
We the undersigned are a group of concerned Socceroo supporters from around the country who believe that the Australian Home End created by the FFA, while well-intentioned, is not fulfilling its potential.
266. Plebiscite for an Australian republic
The Australian people should be given the chance to say whether they wish to live in an Australian republic, with an Australian head of state, without being asked to also make a decision, initially, as to just what form that republic might take.
This petition aims to persuade Federal lawmakers to gve Australians the chance to have their say on this issue: something Australians have never had the opportunity to do before.
267. Mandatory testing for heavy metals of children
Childhood illnesses and diseases such as Autism are nearing epidemic proportions in Australia.
It is a known fact amongs thousands of parents and carers of these children that once tested they share similar results for toxic chemical poisoning. Results such as lead, arsenic, aluminium, copper and mercury poisoning are just a few heavy metals found to be at very high toxic levels in these children.
However the children tested are just a small percentage of the amount of children that have Autism and other illnesses or diseases simply because the remainder of those children affected do NOT know testing is available! This needs to change !
268. No Nuclear Power in Australia!
Now that the world is heating up due to Global Warming, the Australian government has to turn to a new source of energy, as coal is a major player in the Greenhouse Effect.
Instead of taking the obvious choice, like wind or solar power, the government has gone to nuclear power.
Nuclear power is dirty and dangerous. If something went wrong, the results would be catastrophic. On top of all that, NO scientist in the WORLD has discovered a safe way to get rid of nuclear waste.
Wind and solar power are more environmentally friendly, and more effective.
269. savebabe.com
Support savebabe.com!
All donations to Savebabe.com will be used to help Animals Australia highlight the plight of this intelligent species.
Animals Australia firmly believes that the vast majority of Australians, once fully aware of the suffering of pigs in factory farms, will vote for change through the choices that they make. Informing them is crucial.
Our current advertisements and billboards which have assisted us to launch the savebabe.com campaign have been funded through the donations of caring Australians.
However, this is only the beginning - we need to reach every Australian.
In a recent edition of the British “Guardian Weekly” internationally renowned naturalist Lyall Watson commented about pigs, " I know of no other animals that are more consistently curious, more willing to explore new experiences, more ready to meet the world with open-mouthed enthusiasm".
Savebabe.com will work towards ensuring that these animals are provided with the world that they are meant to live in – not the one devoid of hope and sunshine that they currently endure in Australia.
270. Bring Most Haunted with Yvette Fielding to Australia
Most Haunted the top UK tv show shown on Foxtel's Wchannel hosted by yvette fielding.
