4. Support April Terry (a.k.a. "Box") & FHS Sports Medicine
On May 8, 2009, Ms. April Terry (a.k.a. "Box") was informed she would no longer be teaching sports medicine classes at Flathead High School. FHS Administration's reason: "to make room for a coach/teacher". Athletics over Academics?!
Many FHS students, parents & staff are disconcerted about this turn of events, because without Ms. Terry's valued leadership, the sports medicine classes at FHS will most likely be discontinued. However, Ms. Terry is being allowed to continue teaching sports medicine classes at Glacier H.S.
Glacier over Flathead?
The sports medicine curriculum taught by Ms. Terry serves as an excellent stepping stone for students interested in pursuing a medical professions career. Many students taking her class, say they like going to her class because "Box makes learning fun". Ms. Terry also assists FHS athletic trainer Mike Graf provide quality, medical care to FHS students.
People in countries all over the world have a special day each year when they join together to pay tribute to their patron saint and celebrate their nation's history, culture and way of life.
The most obvious examples of such festivities are those that take place in Ireland on St. Patrick's Day. However, England and the English people have just as much to be proud of, with accomplishments in many fields of endeavour and enterprise that are second to none.
St. George's Day (April 23rd) ought to be a date in the calendar when everyone in England, whatever their background, can enjoy and share their common heritage. We are therefore urging the government of the United Kingdom to make it an official Public Holiday.

7. Skins Series 3 With The Original Cast
The purpose of this petition is to get Channel 4/E4/Skins Creators to have the original cast return to star in Series 3 of Skins. After the end of Series 2 of Skins, it was reported that a brand new cast would take over in Series 3.
However, many questions are still needed to be answered e.g. Did Sid ever find Cassie? What happened to Jal? What happened to Tony and Michelle?
Therefore, Skins should still continue with the original cast in Series 3.
8. Ban all animals Circuses and all animal acts! speak for those who can't speak for themselves
Animals exploited for human entertainment face appalling treatment, pose threats to public health and safety, are currently not adequately regulated by state and federal laws, and do not conserve endangered species as is so often claimed.
I strongly believe that the standard industry tools and methods used to initially "break" and train animals throughout their lives, including the bullhook, chaining, food and water deprivation, use of whips, clubs and blunt objects, and electric prods, are incredibly inhumane. In addition, subjecting circus animals to travel for up to 11 months of the year for thousands of hours, over long distances, is unspeakably cruel. As you know, these animals may be chained while not performing, transported in vehicles that lack climate control, and forced to stand or lie in their own waste.
Wild animals used in public displays are dangerous — and even deadly. Recent incidents nationwide highlight the need for tighter restrictions on the exhibition of these animals. In addition to the many documented escapes and attacks by captive animals used for exhibition, elephants may carry tuberculosis (TB), and can infect humans with the bacterial disease.
Circuses are entertainment, not education. Watching wild animals perform unnatural tricks only teaches our children that it is acceptable to exploit animals; it does not teach respect for animals, nor does it help animals in the wild. Animal-free circuses and entertainment, such as Cole Brothers Circus and Cirque du Soleil, are growing as the use of wild animals becomes recognized as archaic, unsafe and inhumane.
For the sake of human safety and animal welfare, please stop using animals in Carson &Barnes,Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey.
People who support the circus should be ashamed of themselves. To sit there and watch these animals suffer a lot of them die and kill people. Do you blame them? I am so angry about this and how can you buy a show and sit there and watch them suffer?
9. Police Officer Robert Sorrentino, deny Russell Carroll parole
UPDATE 11/3/08: Russell Carroll's parole hearing has been scheduled for December 2008.
UPDATE, 2/16/2007: Russell Carroll has been denied parole for this year. Thank you all for your continued support and kind words. I am keeping this petition up and active, as his next parole hearing is scheduled for February 2009.
.................................................
On April 10, 1980, NYPD Officer Robert Sorrentino of the 101st Pct. was shot three times while chasing several robbery suspects in Far Rockaway, Queens.
He and his partner had split up to chase the suspects who had also split up. After his partner captured one of the suspects, he heard shots fired and ran to the scene where he found Officer Sorrentino suffering gunshot wounds.
He was transported to a local hospital and, after undergoing more than fifteen hours of surgery, the removal of one of his kidneys, and extensive repairs to his pancreas, the married father of three later died from his wounds on April 24, 1980. The five men were sentenced on 106 counts of felony murder, robbery, and weapons charges. They were all given the maximum sentence, 25 years to life. All but one have since died in prison.
Russell Carroll, who was on parole at the time he committed this crime, is up for parole for the second time in February 2007, and will be eligible for parole every two years after that. My family, still grieving, do not want to see this man go free.

The members of the Jefferson City area YMCA have seen the facilities hours of operation be cut back the last two years.
We accepted the early closings between Memorial day and Labor day since the pool was open and staffed for use in the evening. The first cut was closing at 5:00 pm on the weekends from April 1st to October 31st. April, May, September, and October are times when the facility get a lot of late day use.
When the facility posted the head count spreadsheets, you could see the facility closed at a peak use time. These facility use tabulations are no longer posted. Starting this year the facilities are starting to close early on a week night.
We find this practice un-acceptable to the membership. The YMCA is a haven for youth to give them a place to go and play sports. It keeps children off the streets and gives them a positive recreational environment. This does not occur when the doors are locked.
12. Pave Holly Hills
April 17, 2006
The Petition to Pave Holly Hills has been a topic of many Holly Hills residents for quite some time.
The receipt of our most recent Assessments provided the final initiative to get this ball rolling on April 17, 2006.
13. Lets get April back on INO!
March 13, 2006
April (November.) got unfairly banned from the forum on Imnotokay.net.
She was accused of badmouthing the admins, when her friend just made up a bunch of shit about what she said, making her sound a whole lot worse. That happened in an AIM window. She didn't even get a chance to explain herself.
She also got banned because she was bad mouthing Mikey's girlfriend. Now, everyone has a right to an opinion... and I'm sure as hell Mikey would not give a fuck that some 16 year old girl was bad mouthing her.
She clearly stated that she does not care they are together she just simply "hates who she is because of all the people she has been linked to."
Now... does this seem unfair to you?
She got perm-banned for JUST this?!
And didn't even get a warning when you give others MANY warnings for far worse?!
Thank you.
14. Stop New US Bankruptcy Laws
May 3, 2005
This is a petition to repeal the recently passed bankruptcy bill of April 2005. This bill essentially places financial strangleholds on lower, middle class and single parent households.
We request that an ammendment be made to the current statutes restricting abuse and repealing the current 4 year allowance for re-filing and places a lifetime cap for all persons and businesses to 3 per natural life of petitioner regardless of circumstance.
15. Save Wisconsin Cats from Hunters
On April 11, 2005, the Wisconsin Conservation Congress had their annual spring meeting. One of the issues addressed was whether or not to adopt a law to make feral and domestic cats an "unprotected species" meaning that cats could be shot on sight if they were not wearing a collar. As anyone knows, a collar on your cat will NOT prevent someone from shooting it if they want to. They will merely destroy the collar after they have killed the cat.
The meetings were primarily attended by hunters and, thus, those FOR the proposition exceeded those of us against it.
The meeting of April 11th did not reflect the opinions of the majority of Wisconsin taxpayers as the majority of the persons attending the meetings were hunters, not the average citizen.
We are opposed to a law making feral and domestic cats an "unprotected species" as this will not only endanger our pets, it will also make it legal for people to do anything they want to these defenseless animals.
We need to let the Governor and our legislators know that the Conservation Congress does NOT speak for the majority of the citizens of this State. We cannot allow the hunters here to make our laws.
16. Minutes silence nationwide for Pope John Paul II
April 4, 2005
This Sunday the 10th of April 2005 Celtic will meet Hearts of Midlothian in a semi-final crunch match.
The vast majority of people who are attending this fixture would like to see a minutes silence in respect to the late Karol Wojtyla (Pope John Paul II).
Please sign this petition to be forwarded to the Scottish F.A
P.S. This petition was closed on April 10, 2005.

18. Defend II Lt. Ilario Pantano against Injustice
II Lt. IIlario Pantano. Marine Corps. A Hells Kitchen, Manhattannative, Father of two including a four month old daughter, is being brought up on charges of pre-meditated murder when in self-defense he shot and killed Two Iraqi insurgents in the hostile city of Fallujah.

21. Stop Prosicutor Rights Violations
On January 10 Th of 2001 Jake Rice's bond was revoked at his preliminary hearing. At his trial on March 13 th of 2001 his trial date, Mr. Rice's attorney was approached by assistant commonwealth attorney Andrew Robins about having Mr. Rice released on bond if he would agree to a continuance. The lawyer and Mr. Rice agreed. The judge agreed to, saw no reason for Mr. Rice's bond not to be reinstated so it was.
The trial was rescheduled for April. The first judge almost dismissed the case and made statements that he was going to. At the new trial date there was a new judge with out notice and this one knew the victim. Mr. Rice was convicted of a 3rd degree felony and sentenced to 10 years, serving 6 with 4 of probation.
This was Mr. Rice's first offence and the judge made it clear that another judge would have found Mr. Rice innocent but he need to make some unvoiced point.
After the trial in April Mr. Robins testified that Mr. Rice's bond was revoked due to a clerical error in the commonwealth attorney's office and that if it had not been for this mistake Mr. Rice would not have spent 2 months in jail. There is no law or recourse for someone wronged by the commonwealth attorney's office.
