4. A SMARTER MERGER -- WHERE YOU DON'T LOSE WHAT YOU ALREADY HAVE

SAG Members will be voting shortly on a merger proposal with AFTRA.
That merger is the wrong merger.
You lose too many important things you already have with that merger.
There is a better solution.

We, Screen Actors Guild Members, are not being presented with all of the options available regarding a solution to our employment being split between SAG and AFTRA.
As Members of the union with statutory majority status, we are entitled to be represented EXCLUSIVELY for all units of employment represented by Screen Actors Guild.
We are entitled to ONE STRONG UNION representing us as SAG Members, and preserving what many believe are the vastly superior Pension and Health Plans of SAG, as well as SAG's democratic process in which we are entitled to vote on critical matters that affect our futures.
We also want to continue to receive RESIDUAL PAYMENTS for our work in television--something we don't receive under a large amount of AFTRA's television contracts--and we want the existing television contracts to be renegotiated under Screen Actors Guild contracts, so that Actors may receive the important residual payments they deserve on every job.
Do you want to earn less money for your work?
We don't.
We shouldn't have to give up these vitally important things (and more) with the wrong merger, and we most certainly need a SOLUTION.
THIS IS THE SOLUTION.
The only way in which we are GUARANTEED to retain the superior union provisions of Screen Actors Guild, is to MERGE the lesser AFTRA unit of laborers into SAG via the National Labor Relations Board's Unit Clarification procedure, creating one single, powerful union representing SAG Actors.

5. Andrew Gower For The 12th Doctor
Andrew Gower is a 22 year old actor/musician from Warrington. He has recently starred in the ITV drama "Monroe" as Dr Mullery and has played the lead character, Victor Frankenstein in BBC3's one-off live show "Frankenstein's Wedding... Live In Leeds".
Iranian actor and filmmaker Ramin Parchami, who was arrested during anti-government protests on 14 February, has been sentenced to a year in prison.
The 38-year-old was arrested during protests held in solidarity with the Arab uprisings of Egypt and Tunisia in February 2011. According to Green Movement website Kaleme, until a few days ago, the actor had been held in solitary confinement in ward 209 of Evin prison under the supervision of the Intelligence Ministry. However, he is now being held in ward 350.
“There’s no precise information about Parchami’s case, but it’s been said that the reason for his arrest on 14 February was his insistence to stay in the protest. Plain-clothed agents who had spotted him in the crowd warned him a number of times to leave the demonstrations, but he ignored their words and was arrested in the end,” reported Kaleme.
According to the Committee of Human Rights Reporters, Parchami’s one year jail-term was issued by branch 13 of the Revolutionary Court of Tehran under Judge Eslami on charges of “acting against national securiting through taking part in an illegal assembly, attempting to film and disrupting public order.”
Parchami’s trial was held on Wednesday 12 April and his transfer to the court took place “under security measures” and he was seen “handcuffed, with long a beard and a not-so-appropriate appearance while accompanied by a number of policemen.”
Parchami has a master’s degree in directing and acting, and has directed and acted in a number of films and television series. He is also a former editor-in-chief of the cultural weekly Naghsh Afarinan.
The barbaric human rights violations carried out by the Iranian regime cannot be allowed to continue.

13. Free Bollywood Star - Sanjay Dutt
Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt has been jailed for six years for buying weapons from bombers who attacked the Indian city of Mumbai (Bombay) in 1993.
The actor was cleared of conspiracy, but found guilty of illegally possessing a rifle and a pistol. Dutt, who has been on bail since 1995 after spending 18 months in prison during the initial investigations into the bombings, has now been taken back into custody.
In anticipation of the sentence, he had stopped accepting new Bollywood projects and had completed almost all the films he had already been working on.
Dutt, whose recent hits include Munnabhai MBBS and Lage Raho Munnabhai (Keep Going Munnabhai), is one of the top stars in an industry starved of heroes.
Film expert Komal Nahata told the BBC News website that Sanjay Dutt is currently one of the top 10 actors in Bollywood.
Sanjay Dutt, son of a Hindu father and Muslim mother, had initially confessed to having the weapon in order to defend his family against threats during the riots.

We decided to write this petition because one of our greatest dreams is to see even for a few minutes Bam Margera.
Two days ago HIM performed here in Romania at a festival. We hoped Bam will come too, knowing he doesn't miss any HIM concert.
But seems like.... he missed this one.
So, hopefully this petition will help and Bam will come to our country.
15. Vin Diesel SHOULD NOT be Hitman
The passionless contract killer Agent 47 has risen as one of the greatest assassins in game entertainment history. His persona, that of a intelligent and silent killer has been most alarmingly been matched with the actor Vin Diesel as was announced by "comingsoon.net". In the interest in respecting the character of Agent 47 in any sort of cinematic rendition of him, it is the purpose of this petition to ensure Vin Diesel is replaced with an actor to better represent Hitman.
David Bateson the actor who performed voice acting for Hitman 47 in a variety of Hitman game titles seems to be a popular choice among those most familiar with 47's background.
Regardless of the actor those hereby signed and I plead to those parties involved that Vin Diesel is not made Hitman in a future game releases associated with the Hitman series and secondly not with any Movie based on Hitman.

We the fans of Passions ask the writers and directors of Passions to better utilize the Actor Jesse Metcalfe. We like to see more storyline involving the character Miguel and more hot shirtless scenes and love scenes of Jesse Metcalfe. Please don't waste the talent you have on the show.
19. Stop the pairing of Jason and Elizabeth
We the undersingned are extremely excited about the return of Steve Burton in his role as Jason Morgan, but we are conserned about the pending pairing of Jason and Elizabeth. In our opinion the character of Elizabeth is not the type of character we want to see Jason with. We would like to see Jason in a relationship that is long overdue but not with Elizabeth and not as soon as he returns to the canvas.
Steve is loyal to GH and that is why he keeps returning every now and then for a long or short period when he isn't doing major movies or tv movies. He can get better storyline than Jason/Liz and he DESERVES better. It's been my understanding in interviews that Steve considers GH his family so I think he should not be wasted and given a credible story that show his talents as an actor and stays true to the character of Jason.
Please take this into consideration, a story involvin these two characters would not be good on anyone's part.

20. Release DOWN PERISCOPE on DVD!!!
This petition is asking 20th Century Fox Home Video to release the 1996 comedy DOWN PERISCOPE on DVD in all regions, or at least Region 1 & 2.
This movie is about a maverick naval officer(Kelsely Grammer) who is finally given a submarine to command, but it turns out to be a mothballed wreck--with a crew that's not much better. But if he can prove his mettle (and the ship's) in a war game environment, he can graduate to a first-class nuclear sub, but the Admiral in charge of the wargames(Bruce Dern) would go to hell before seeing him command a nuclear sub.
This underrated movie deserves to be released on DVD!!! This movie did something that seemed to me almost impossible, which is to use the "dude who leads losers to victory" buddy formula and still made it fresh and entertaining.
The film has great talented actors.
Kelsely Grammer shows in the movie he CAN be a movie actor, besides being a TV actor. This film also has the talents of Rob Schneider, Harland Williams, Rip Torn, Bruce Dern, William H. Macy, Harry Dean Stanton, Lauren Holly, and other talented actors who I didn't catch their names.
The film is really LEGITIMATE because the director and writers of the movie have done stuff like MAJOR LEAGUE and POLICE ACADEMY.
