The Griffins tried to give "Mike" as much security as they could; allowing him to stay over in a trailed they had outside their house. Mike's home life was apparently extremely dysfunctional as his parents and stepparents were alcoholics. I guess we can see how emotional instability resulted in him. Mike was virtually a genuis in Math. Him and Jamie sat side by side in our Spanish class. What a waste of talen as Jamie was a very gifted pianist who played with Liberace' at age 4 at War Memorial Plaza. He played by ear only- he could not even read music! So I miss my friend dearly even after almost 40 years. It still makes me want to talk with Mike and find out what happened- why they went to the Gunpowder when Jamie was supposed to be spending that night with his youth group. He never reported to the train station and that was the first clue something had gone awry. The Griffins callled my house that night asking for Mike's last name and said they would tell explain tomorrow. This was the beginning of the end. I cannot imagine Jamie having LSD on him as Mike quotes in the news article. The Griffins are now in Heaven with Jamie and knowing that has been the first thing that has given me a sense of peace about this since it happened. All Mr. G wanted was to skin Michael alive as he stated "I don't care what happens to me, my life is already over." It was absolutely HEARTBREAKING.

i think that MW should serve his full term and depending on how he cooperates should determine if he gets up for parole or stays put. There no doubt that growing up he had to depend on himself at a time when children need direction, supervision and mostly love- neither of these were given.
